  1. Found a couple of items today that seem compatible: 80's Playskool Sesame Street playset 2001 Imaginext Police Car (apparently it came with a Police Station set)
  2. Just got this set yesterday. While I bought it for Werewolf by Night, I think Morbius is my favorite out of the set (Although I like all of them) The Werewolf head still seems slightly off (I think it's a hard head to translate to minimate form) I do wonder if it may look better by cutting the chin off of the head piece (where the hair detail stops) that way there's still hair hanging down along the sides of the chin. My Universal Werewolves and Dracula are now permanent additions to this set too, they just look too good with all the other figures Here's a bad cell phone pic while at work
  3. I just found out my brother in law and his friend have a Kickstarter going right now (about 8 days left) http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brush4hire/brush-4-hire-barricades-and-bunkers It's for Warhammer, but he told me that the doors are about 2" tall and each floor level is 3" in height. I believe the square barrier is about 1 1/2" tall. Looks like it could work pretty well with Halo minimates. I'm sure some BTTF 3 or Eastwood mates would look good with the Western Buildings too.
  4. Congrats to the winners! I'm really glad that Grey Hulk won, I love the paintjob on it!
  5. Apparently you're correcting two mistakes as I thought Ratar-O was supposed to be green (I only remembered the toy, but google shows me he's blue in the cartoon)
  6. I'm using the Wolvie from wave 47 in my X-Men set up I still need to get a Nightcrawler and Gambit for my teams (Still deciding which Nightcrawler to get or if I want to combine the two into an ultimate version)
  7. The promotion is you get the DVD free if you buy $50 worth of Action Figures or collectibles
  8. Yep, bought it at Barnes & Noble for like $10
  9. I think I'm going to just call that Tony "Gamer Tony" Now I need a minimate sized X-box to go with him
  10. I would be all over this as well. You could even possibly do generic figures that could go unsaid as "inspired by" like say a werewolf in a high school letterman jacket ALA: I was a teenage werewolf
  11. Yeah but I was a little surprised that there was a possibility for future MAX (I was under the assumption the line was done, buried and never to return)
  12. My desk is very messy right now, but there's always toys on it as well (most of them have permanent homes there )
  13. I would love a Cyke like this (would save me the trouble of trying to make a custom one) I also wouldn't be upset at a light blue with white X costumed X-Factor Cyke (But I'd prefer an updated Blue and Gold with optic blast first)
  14. Any boxset that includes Spidey 2099 and Amazing Bag Head gets my money instantly
  15. I've learned (especially in the past few years) that distribution is different everywhere. Case in point, around here, the exclusives for series 2 sat around for a little bit (a couple of weeks, maybe a full month) and now there's only two packs left (both Sailor Zombies) I personally saw at least 3 sets of wave 1 exclusives in the stores. Now if I were to complain about ANY minimate wave not being in my area for very long, it would be the Avengers movie wave, it showed up once stayed for a short while, then was gone forever. I've seen more Walking Dead minimates than I have Avengers minimates. Then there's the box sets which are never stocked at either of the two TRU's near me (With the exception of the first Expendables 2 set, that one was the first box set I ever saw at TRU and since it looks like only one set was sold between the two stores, I kinda doubt I'll see any more box sets ever again) Now I'm sure some other TRU's around the nation saw a lot more Avengers sets and just based on the "show me your store" thread, I can definitely see that box sets are sold at TRU stores. So while some Walking Dead sets may be shelfwarming in abundance in one store, doesn't mean they didn't sell through 3 full cases at another store
  16. DST should be able to help, I had a similar problem with a Shane from Walking Dead having two of the same arm and they sent me a new set of arms
  17. I too would like a Weapon X with control helmet Wolvie. Honestly the only one I want in this set is the Space Suit one (just because I grew up with it from Toy Biz and the Fox cartoon)
  18. Here's the store in my town: Starting with the Halo/Neca Aisle (right next to the Video Game section in the corner) We have the SF X Tekken and Halo figure sets with Halo vehicles on the lower shelf Then further down the aisle we have any and all Minimates vehicles On the next Aisle we have Marvel Movie toys on one side and the GI Joe/Transformers/Star Wars on the other side. Here's the Captain America sets: and the Amazing Spiderman sets I'm sure we'd have Avengers Minimates on this aisle if we had any On the next aisle we have the Comic related toys, DC & Marvel. All of the Minimates are at the end of the Aisle above the actual comics. These include all Marvel Comic sets, Playstation sets, Universal Monsters, Walking Dead, Expendables and one lone Max undersea Rescue set. (In the past Monsters, Walking Dead and Expendables have been on the Neca Aisle)
  19. That's pretty cool, reminds me of seeing 60's era GI Joes used to represent the Jabba puppeteers in the making of Star Wars
  20. I recently did a couple of Best of Wave 2 reviews. I was trying out a different technique for photographing white parts while still maintaining that "press release" blank background look The first one is Hulk and Loki: http://needlessessentialsonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2481 Followed by Daredevil and Venom: http://needlessessentialsonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2486
  21. Three months later & there's little point in keeping the spoilers is there ? I think I'm still fairly spoiler free for the movie, except for what's been shown in trailers
  22. Another method would be to cut off the hands (or feet) and use a thumbtack as the peg (just take the metal tack part out of the (typically plastic) top)
