Thanks for the info/guesses on the football player. I watched the trailer on my iPod so I couldn't even read was his name was. Undeadpool, it is pretty awesome seeing Bane release those prisoners. Maybe Bane will break the Bat part way through the movie and that's where the 8 years comes in... healing time, Azrael as Batman time... etc

Does anyone with a more in-depth Batman knowledge recognize the football player's name? Is he of any importance or did they just give him a name so his jersey didn't look fake? I can't help notice that everyone's reactions to this movie (ever since we started seeing images, hearing about casting, teaser, trailer) are more "Well, it's Nolan so I'm sure it will be good" instead of "Oh, man that's awesome!" I just hope they show something for this movie that really gets my geek juices flowing before they show it.

Start with the micros. Iron Man is up first if I remember right... When I originally watched this series I started with Break Out and thought it was an EPIC first episode... then the next few were the compiled micros and they seemed like a better jumping on point. Just not as epic. But we'll start with the micros so we can discuss everyone's little back story, character design, how cool it is etc. I'm really looking forward to this. I almost started watching it today, but I'm really trying to wait for our start date.

Zemo is still in the lead... really makes me wonder why there is so much attention on Kang when everyone apparently prefers Zemo. . . Great poll BarroomHero. If it was also about redone characters I would throw Mary Jane some love, but this covers most of my biggest wants: Brotherhood, Wrecking Crew, various other awesome villains... Could "Attractive Mary Jane Watson" count as a new character since "Comic Book Volstagg" does?

My vote is we watch an episode every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and post our thoughts in a thread. My experience has been that chats are a little confusing and a thread might give you more time to organize your thoughts. Every Monday morning, for example, someone could post the Netflix episode description and start the conversation. Then everyone would have all day Monday and Tuesday to talk about it and reply to other's comments. Then Wednesday morning the next episode description would be posted and we'd start talking about that one for two days. And it sounds like we are waiting til after the holidays, so I propose we start with Netflix episode 1 on January 2. Just my thoughts. I'm really looking forward to rewatching this series and hearing what you guys have to say about it. Especially some of you with extra Avengers knowledge to share. Glad this idea is catching on!

So... where does that hover vehicle fit in with the gritty realism? I'm sure this movie will be good. I'm just not very excited for it at this point. That said, I'll still see it opening weekend. I think what bums me the most about this trilogy is that, while they are done very well, they just aren't that ...exciting... I don't know. I guess I just think the Marvel movies are generally more fun.

Hey guys- I was thinking about rewatching this show on Netflix, then I thought it might be fun if we rewatched it as a group. Watch a couple episodes a week and talk about them a little more in depth here (or start a new thread for it). That way we could discuss things without worrying about spoilers and all talk about the same episode at the same time... have mini reviews and give our thoughts about each episode. Did anyone keep up with the Rotten Tomatoes Marvel movie reviews over the summer? They would all watch Blade and then all talk about Blade. Then all watch Blade II and all talk about Blade II, etc. We'd do the same thing. Maybe watch an episode every Monday, Wednesday, Friday so we'd have some time to talk about each one? We could start on Wednesday if anyone is interested. Let me know. PS- I'm rewatching it either way... just thought it would be more fun to make it a group activity

The Marvel movies were great. Green Lantern was the flop... The timing could have been better, but I'm excited for this wave. I can't wait to find it for myself. I can tell I'm going to love Balder, Thor, Crossbones and Zola. I also like that jacket for Cap. It might have been nice to have a separate wave for Cap and Thor instead of sharing.. could always use more villains for these guys.

You could easily stop visiting when you read all of the indignant responses to things, but you stick around and still give us info and hints and teases of things to look forward to. Thank you. You can't please everybody (well, maybe you can always please Miry..) but I'm sure some people new to the line will love wave 44. Ps I don't remember there ever being a part two to the Spider-man pack in comic either.

...which is why I usually just get what TRU has... Too many valid points have been said to start quoting. I'll gladly buy another mark I Iron Man to get a bulked up Hulk. I'll buy costume-he-wore-once Cap that is to get Crossbones. And I'll buy jacket Cap to get Zola and that jacket. But I will opt out of buying practically-the-same Cap and beard Thor and just hope that little Timmy buys it. I just hope this 10 year anniversary is better than the TMNT 25th anniversary

I don't really buy movie mates, but I'm excited to see how these all look. And very excited to see who ever or whatever redacted is. And extremely excited to see this movie next summer. And do we really have to wait til after the summer for TRU 13?

Thanks for saving me the trouble of hunting that picture down, MiniFiend! So many awesome designs I would love to have. Maybe someday... slowly. I always thought they sold well. It was hard to find a lot of them and when I did it was always "better buy this now because I'll never see it again". But now my local TRU is still sitting on a ton of Iron Man movie muggs. Even GI Joe sold pretty well here.

Given the top-grossing movies of the last three years, Iron Man, Cap and Thor figures are understandably staples. When Avengers tanks, we can all look forward to a few years of Defenders merch (fingers crossed!), but for now, we need to have the big three (who'd've thunk 10 years ago they'd be Marvel's big three!) out there for the new fans. When I was at TRU Times Square last week, the Cap and Thor movie waves had been picked over for all of the costumed Caps and costumed Thors -- that's what people want. And most of those waves have 5-7 other characters in them. You can't always say that about other Marvel toy lines, especially the movie waves, where pretty much all you GET is Cap or Iron Man or Thor. Maybe I should read what I say one more time before I post. I'm really not trying to be negative. Minimates are my favorite toy line, Marvel has my favorite heroes, I am always excited to hear about new figures coming out. I totally understand what you guys are doing from a business perspective. I meant no offense. We just tend to forget about the masses of people and think only about the collectors who have been buying since wave 1. I'll try to be more careful with what I say here so I don't sound like a Debbie Downer.

Wave 13 has already been revealed: - Spidey/Punisher - Daredevil/Kingpin - Magma/Mirage - Boomer/Rictor No Avengers, four new characters, two requested (and needed) re-dos. This wave does not overlap with a TRU Wave -- Wave 14 will be post-summer movies. Oh I totally forgot! Well IMO we are getting lucky with 13 then. New and improved Punisher, DD and Kingpin, and some brand new mutants, I'm excited for those. All of these wave releases are getting jumbled in my head. Squall is definitely right here. Nothing wrong with repeat characters. It's just a little tougher when we get wave 32 Iron Man wave 33 Thor wave 35 Iron Man wave 36 Iron Man wave 39 Thor wave 40 Cap wave 41 Iron Man, Hulk wave 42 Cap, Thor wave 44 Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk wave 45 Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk I really don't want to sound like I'm complaining. Every set is a chance for a new collector to jump on board. I just think we're suffering from a little Avengers over exposure.
