Just wondering, for Wave 42 what is the difference between custom cases and standard cases? Thanks.

Finally checked out a Toys R Us store in the Vancouver area (suburb of Richmond to be exact). Found a pegful of each of the Marvel vs Capcom Series 1 2-packs wave and the Universal Monsters 2-packs. As well, the Spider-man 4 pack (the one including Vulture) is still hanging around. No sign of any Halo packs or vehicles. Picked up the exclusives 2-packs from the Marvel vs Capcom wave. Hopefully the Heralds of the Galactus 4-pack and Marvel Wave 42 makes it up here as well, as well as future MM releases.

Will have to go out this weekend to see if I can find any of the Halo or GB minimates in the TRU stores in Vancouver, BC. Be nice if this is the start of a regular trend. Would definitely like to see the Marvel series (or Marvel vs Capcom) showing up north of the border on a regular basis.

The lineup include Galactus himself, Nova, Morg and Terrax and some nice accessories including a mini Silver Surfer. The 4-pack is scheduled to be released at Toys r Us stores this winter. And they are trying to get the other Heralds like Firelord and Airwalker released as a 2-pack as part of another release. Some more good looking minimates to look forward to, hopefully, in time for Christmas. At least they are not retreads or remakes of figures previously released.

I think the character Cyclops was never given the treatment/respect that he deserved in the X-men trilogy. He is supposed to be the leader of the group but was relegated to a secondary role in the original trilogy and now his character isn't even in the "First Class" movie. What give? Part of the problem was the surprising popularity of Wolverine/Hugh Jackman and the other part was the casting of James Marsden in the role. Though acting wise he was okay, James seem to be too young for the role and didn't seem to match up maturity wise to Jean Grey/Famke Jamssen. I just wish the movie rights to the X-men/Wolverine would revert back to Marvel itself before 20th Century Fox alienate the movie audiences from seeing Marvel movies. The first 2 X-men movies were home runs. With the last X-men and Wolverine movie, they have 2 strikes against them. Hopefully they don't strike out. Does anyone know if the characters Daredevil or Elekta have reverted back to Marvel? The Daredevil movie was passable but the less said about the Elekta the better.

Something "big" should hopefully be either: 1) Minimates of Disney/Pixar characters or movies. I was previously hoping for Pirates of the Caribbean since they have so many colorful characters but with DST already having Calico Jack, I doubt we get a minimate of Captain Jack Sparrow anytime soon 2) Minimates of the Hobbit movie with the previously announced but canceled LOTR wave 3 minimates to be released as chases. Doubt this as the movie won't be out until 2012 so this license would be too early 3) Minimates from the DC universe. Maybe with the change of leadership over at DC and them realizing how well the Marvel minimates are doing, will want minimate versions of their heroes, especially with the Green Lantern movie coming out this summer 4) Minimates from the Harry Potter movie. The only concern that I would have here is timing of the license as the final movie is coming out this summer and DST might run into the same problem that they had with the LOTR license; that they got the license too late at the tail end of its popularity. And anyways Medicom will be releasing their kubrick versions of the Harry Potter characters shortly. 5) Minimates of the Star Wars universe; maybe limited to the Clone Wars 6) Minimates from the James Bond universe Hopefully it is one of the above.

The army building (Hydra dominated) minimates for the Captain America movie are now listed on the Previews website. These include a Hydra Pilot, Hydra Infantry, Hydra Flame Thrower, Hydra Soldier 2 and Red Skull in a Hydra Uniform. My TRU still has a few packs left. I am not sure which ones since I have gotten all that I want. They also raised the price from $6.99 to $7.49 for the holiday season. Hi. Does anyone know if this Universal minimate wave will show up in the TRU stores in Canada? I have read previously that the Canadian stores would start stocking minimates and I have seen the Spiderman Friends and Foes box set in the stores. Would be nice as it would save me from chasing after these on ebay. Thanks for any info.
