A streak of 1000 unbroken minimates has ended. A Hawkman I just opened got the broken knee of death! it was already near broken because it took no pressure. Ohh well...this streak was bound to end eventually with all the reported qc/design problems.

These minimates are darn sweet. I still think MM's Guy Gardner is the best one I've seen. I very much like that they added the big chest to Kilowog. I'm good with Hawkman's big chest, but I'm not sure about Hawkgirls. Female mates look odd when compared to other regular chested mates. She is still cute though. The wings are fine on mine and I think it's about time we get them for minimates. I just love all the capes we are getting. This line is bringing us a ton of new parts and is taking minimates to the next level, it's evolutionary imo.

Yes football talk is back at the office. I had a nice couple of years having my White Sox winning the World Series in 2005 and childhood fav Steelers winning the Super Bowl in 2006. The Bears as usual stunk it up in the playoffs in 2007, hopefully they have a little luck because they are stubborn brats with Lamborghinis Tonight I'm going Saints all the way!

Yeah you need all of the above added to the poll and omit Walmart because they haven't sold minimates in a long time. I order from my LCS(Awesome People) Occasionally I'll hit the other spots to get a hit if I need one.

Especially when a contest has so many entries with so many pictures submitted in different formats/sizes, it becomes a time consuming task and can wear you down with a gazillion of other things you may have going on. Something this massive takes more than a little time and more effort than many would care to think, I'm sure we'll know the winners in due time.

I'm not surprised by the price drop, you pay for having it first. This happens with everything. Just a bit surprised that price drop came so soon, I would have thought maybe around christmas time. Edited

Really? A little while ago I was looking for something but the store was down and still is. I wonder if the ipod touch has anything to do with the price drop.

These GSXM box sets retailed for $25 then went up to $100 at one time and since then has gone between $35-$55

Just wanted to update you guys that BTTF Series 2 along with the previews exclusive have been solicited in the current issue of previews. P.S. There is also an advert on Marvel Series 19/20 sure to be available for order in October.

Nice poll and something I would love is a Legendary Comic Book Heroes license. I'm liking what ToyBiz is doing and I think it would be a great specialty line for minimates. It a diverse line that can appeal to many.

That Monday ship date is really suspicious and all I can think of is that he got them from Japan directly for that date. My shop in the midwest gets both Avengers/Zombies this week.

For the most part, they were really only handing them out to kids which is cool. You had to be around at the right time for when they gave them out. They only handed out a few cases a day.

The issue on Salakk is a mixed bag. I agree minimates should always have the cylinder head block and with this figure I'm not sure it would look right because he's an alien and cosmetically the long narrow head is part of what makes him. Maybe they should make some new head design that can fit those awkward non-human characters. After seeing the Leader, Kilowog, Sinestro, STRIP,they have a track record for making new head block designs for characters that are outside the norm; Salakk just takes it to an extreme that we'll have to live with. I prefer newly shaped heads v.s. kubrick style chest pieces.

These are great looking mates, just love how the DC line keeps bringing innovative parts. I love the fact we're getting all the GLs, bring on Kyle Rayner. I really like the Red son Superman/WW and Salakk, Question and Batwoman, heck I like them all with Cyborg as my least favorite.
