  1. So far this has actually been the hardest decision to make. Abomination/Apocalypse: While both characters could use an update and I don't yet have an Apocalypse both are such big names that eventually they're both likely to be made anyway. Baron Strucker: About as interesting as generic leaders at the head of generic army builder's can be. I'm just glad it wasn't Viper because that would have made my choice that much harder to make. Wrecker: Sorry but I find all of the Wrecking crew to be bland and uninteresting so I'm in likely in a minority of one as to whether they ever get released. Mojo: While I wouldn't mind him in a box set with Spiral he just isn't up to snuff to be released on his own. Vengeance: I like the character but without a bike it'd be like getting MODOK without a chair. Onslaught: Another X-Villain that I don't much care for but I do like the character's look just enough to edge out Vengeance. Baron Zemo: Got my vote for only two reasons he'll make great custom parts and for the slim chance of getting a Citizen V variant so that I can begin building an Original Thunderbolts team.
  2. Mock Spoiler By the end of AvX the Phoenix Force, now complete, will "cut" the 616 universe from the point where it sacrificed itself at the end of the "Dark Phoenix Saga" retconing history so that it becomes the White Phoenix at that point. All 616 comics will be completely changed and most titles will be heavy with flashbacks to events that took place in the missing years. Then next year the big event will be where someone realizes that something isn't right and they have to make a decision whether to "fix" reality or maintain the status quo (determined of course by the year's sales figures). Then everything will go back to the way it was either as 616 or another universe just in time for another universe changing event.
  3. My completely impossible team wants: X-Men 2099, X-Nation 2099, and Perhaps most of all The Sisters of the Howling Commandments form X-Nation 2099 Closer to reality wants: Young Avengers 90's X-Factor: Forge, Havoc, Polaris, Strong Guy, Wolfsbane, Multiple Man, Val Cooper, and Shard Original Thunderbolts: Citizen V, Meteorite, Techno, Mach V, Songbird, Atlas, and Jolt
  4. Am I the only one excited about poor Zik? From a parts point of view I can't wait to get my hands on his hands to give my Wolfsbane some real claws and I'm sure I'll find a use for his wings as well. While the rest of the parts will go into the bin until inspiration hits. I do agree that he needs a weapon or two but, being a flying character, armor would likely make him seem overly bulky.
  5. Mandarin hands have four fingers and a thumb so that he has all of his rings.
  6. The first two that come to my mind would be: Dark Horse Hellboy/B.P.R.D. and IDW Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TMNT 'mates? My heart says "yes"...my wallet says "NOOOOOOOOO!" I agree, especially when it means two (color and B/W) of every single character in the line.

  8. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (May, 27 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: The travelers returned today. Unfortunately it wasn't with good news. There were plenty of zombies out there but they didn't find any other survivors. The thing is they found plenty of evidence that there are survivors out there but it wasn't the good kind of evidence. The people on the reservation had all been killed and it wasn't the work of zombies plus there were a lot of dead zombies along the main roads. The group was much more careful on their return trip keeping to the back roads and switching vehicles where they could instead of clearing the roads. In the end they made there way the rest of the way back on horseback. That's about the only good news we now have an additional mare, gelding, and a stallion. While it isn't going to be easy from here on out we're going to be doing our patrols on horseback. While it'll take longer it'll give us the advantage of hearing approaching vehicles and be able to take cover. The group has also been a bit more forthcoming about the reasons behind splitting with the Alaska bound group. They had a chuck like mentality and had only accepted Joshua based on his military training, survival skills, and the fact that he stated from the beginning that he'd be leaving them. In Riana's case they didn't like the way she spent all of her time with Josh. As for Collin, well he accidentally let it slip that he wasn't an FBI field agent. While he was physically qualified for a field agent he was basically a glorified paper pusher. In the end the one thing that convinced them they were better off on their own was when the infighting started and the slightly less desirable, determined by whoever was in charge at the time, started "wandering off" at night. In the spirit of cooperation we went ahead and filled them in on our living arrangements and how we had dealt with Chuck. We also filled them in on how we spent the winter clearing out the area and stockpiling the supplies that we recovered and how we were setting up a farm so that we could be self sufficient. They actually seemed quite impressed. So it looks like they'll be joining us. The thing is we're now uneven once again in the couples department. Collin Duncan Riana Duncan
  9. You seem to have forgotten a pack Iron Man (transparent green holographic armor/Danvers Captain Marvel (Amazon Warrior armor with black wig) Of course that would also require a TRU tie in wave consisting of: Mr. Fantastic (red prototype unstable molecule suit/Invisible Woman (prototype power suit with cape) Young Avengers Hulkling (XvA X harness and blue cape)/Hawkeye (Sunglasses head and mask head with crossbow) Angel (in gold hawk armor)/Beast (green fur variation) Falcon (in gray power armor)/Spider-Man (new blue scarab armor)
  10. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (May 2, 1 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: I think we've now cleared the surrounding area out to about fifteen miles with an extra five-mile buffer zone. That makes the three closest towns zombie free and most of the supplies have been transported back here to the farm for storage. If this winter was any indication of what we're likely to need then we are well set for at least two additional years. Well, I say the surrounding area but in reality that only covers three directions since we've used the river and canyon as a starting point rather than the farm. We've blocked off the three bridges in the "safety zone" and agreed not to try and expand the territory we've taken. We'll continue to patrol the area, of course, but most of our time will be spent getting the farm in shape so that we can have fresh food rather than subsisting on canned goods. We've been tracking down and collecting livestock. So far we've been able to round up six chickens, one rooster, eight cows, three horses, two goats, a dog, a peacock, a llama, and a camel of all things. While it is a good start it isn't the best. Don't get me wrong the fresh milk and eggs are really nice but there are still a good number of animals that we need. At the top of the list would be a stallion, since the horses consist of two mares and a gelding, and a bull. We could also use a couple more goats including a billygoat and a couple more llamas. While I've never been a fan of llamas from what we've seen so far we have a better chance of finding them than we have of finding any living sheep. Oh and I should add that we also have three or four wild cats roaming the property. I didn't count them as part of the livestock simply because they're completely wild and are living off whatever they can catch on their own. However, as soon as one of the girls finds and tames a couple of kittens for "household mousers" I'll add them to the list. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (May 24, 1 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: I've got to keep this short but we're currently heading for a problem at the bridge. It seems that we have another group of survivors trying to unblock our barricade. TJ noticed them approaching earlier and made his way back to the farm as quickly as possible. Later: There were only three of them. Joshua Pathfinder, a Native American Army Ranger, is the first. He's trying to make his way to the Indian reservation on the other side of the state to see if any of his relatives have survived. Riana Duncan, a museum curator that used to spend her time at renaissances festivals playing the part of a female knight or Joan of Arc whichever allowed her to play with the big boys and their heavy armor. Finally Agent Collin Duncan, Riana's brother and former F.B.I. agent. They'd been part of a larger group out of northern California that decided to work its way up the coast in the hope that they could find an uninfected area in Alaska. Joshua split with the group when they reached the Columbia River and headed inland claiming that he'd have a better chance of survival where he grew up. Collin and Riana just sort of decided to tag along, though I get the feeling that there was more to it than what they're telling us. Still they insist that they're only passing through. We've set them up in a place well away from the farm. In the morning we'll set them up with fresh supplies and a new vehicle to continue on their way. However I'm going to go ahead and offer them a place to stay if they decide to come back. Frankly, I wouldn't mind if Joshua's tribe is surviving and they all move back here. Just from what we've seen this afternoon there is a lot of knowledge there that we could benefit from. Depending on the conditions I figure it shouldn't take them more than a week to get the rest of the way to the reservation. Technically, back pre-Z-Day it would only be a two and a half hour drive but now I doubt it'll be that easy.
  11. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (December 16, 0 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: The temperature dropped below zero last night and it is still bitterly cold out there today. If the weather holds I think we'll make a foray to the gas station on the edge of town. I doubt we'll find much in the way of supplies but if we find that our observations of the zombies being sluggish and slower to react holds true in the colder weather this may be the best time to start clearing the town. At the least we'll be able to get farther in and take advantage of the stores closer to the center that may be a bit less looted. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (December 20, 0 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: It seems that we're not the only survivors in the area. While we were working our way through town David noticed smoke out across the river. Ordinarily I'd chalk it up to his desperation to find an unattached woman but Dee was with him and confirmed the sighting. Unfortunately it was getting late in the day so making the trip into an area that we haven't even scouted yet wouldn't be a good idea. Still it gives us all hope that we're not the last living survivors. I know that David is likely to object but I'm sending Steel and Dee out tomorrow to scout as far as they can. If they can't get very far then I'll let David be part of the second team the next day. While we have plenty of supplies and room for more people here I'd rather not end up with another Chuck or even a group of like-minded individuals moving in with us. Still find other survivors would make for a nice Christmas miracle. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (December 23, 0 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: It snowed last night making traveling dangerous until it melted off. It was late afternoon by the time Dee and I took off and we knew that we wouldn't have much time to search but we still had to try. Surprisingly it wasn't hard since we were able to home in on the smoke rather easily. There was only one survivor, and she was doing quite well for herself at that. She chose to remain where she was until we get to know each other a bit more and I agreed that would probably be for the best. She was more than willing to accept the supplies that we brought as a sign of good faith. We couldn't spend much time with her because we didn't want to be out on the bad roads but we agreed, weather permitting, we'd return tomorrow for another meeting. I suggested a group of four and though she didn't seem happy about it she did agree. So hopefully in the morning I'll be setting out with Steele, Sparks, and David for another meeting. I realize taking David along at this point is probably a bad idea but I figure it is best to get the worst out of the way. Survivor: Zombie Apocalypse (December 24, 0 Z.D.) Excerpt from the journal of Isaac Irons: That was, rather interesting. It seems that David and Maria went to school together. It was even more of a shock to Maria that she was in Mister Steele's afternoon class so all things considered it didn't take long for her to decide to join our little community. Since she is the newcomer she insisted that I make sure I get my facts straight about her. Maria Martinez parents were legal immigrants from Mexico and she was born here in the states. I don't see how that really matters anymore but she insisted that I put that in. She was going to college for a Masters in Communication and was a member of the National Guard unit when things fell apart. Not many of them were close enough to the armory but those that were quickly realized that they were dealing with zombies and made sure their shots counted. Most of them made it out of the city but when it became obvious there wasn't much left to fight for they split up to check on their families and agreed to meet up within the week. No one returned and Maria has been on her own until now. We made sure that we were upfront about all our beliefs and we let her know about our problems with Chuck and how he was dealt with. She was quick to point out that she is in fact very religious but she also believes in a live and let live policy. So long as we don't try to push our beliefs onto her, she will do the same for us.
  12. We're already getting that hand in the Outback X-Men wave with Colossus so that Colossus and Wolverine can be posed together for their "fastball special".
  13. I'm a writer first and a customizer second so I don't know as I'd call it dedication. Dedication is is keeping the continuity of an entire universe in check even though the stories take place in multiple eras and formats. No, my bios for my customs are more a bit of relaxation/fluff writing that I use to keep my mind working. That said I really need to get back into the mood for continuing the Z-Day journal since I've got four new civilian characters and one Zombie just waiting to be completed. Though I do agree with you that I'd like to see more Franken Mates and stories. It's something that just seems to be missing in the modern world. The other day my nephew was looking at my Tegra custom and he asked what video game or TV show he was from. When I told him that I'd created him and it wasn't from any show he just looked confused said "Oh" before walking away. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do more cry, scream, hit my head against the wall repeatedly, or all of the above.
  14. o_O Nearly all of my customs are originals or at least have an original alternate universe bio. http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=9791 Just to stay on topic here is a pic I took for size comparison of a group of my characters.
  15. Soldiers of Horror Universe. Codename: Wasteland File Name: N/A Classification: Lizard Man Location Discovered: Los Alamos, New Mexico Primary Specialty: Desert Survival Secondary Specialty: High Radiation Survival Wasteland is the newest member of the Soldier of Horror team and I'd like to make an entry on how we tracked him down and captured him. Unfortunately it is more the case that he found us. We found him foraging in the garbage dump at our New Mexico base. The medical science branch claims that he is a lizard that has been mutated through exposure to radiation and that there is no was to tell how old he may be. The tell me that it is likely that he has been around since the early atom bomb tests and that we're just lucky that no one found him before we did. That at least is the official explanation. After Wasteland proved to be able to figure out and adapt to using weapons and fitting into the base culture at an astounding rate I had Blue do a few off the record tests and we've discovered that Wasteland has just as much Human in him as reptile. Plus it seems that there are a few bits of genes that are not of Earth origin according to Blue. Something tells me that Wasteland was actually created in a lab and received some training before he was released where we could find him.
  16. Gatherers Universe: Codename: Gun Runner File Name: Colt Revolver (real name unknown) Classification: Human Powers: None Artifacts: Numerous unnamed guns If you need a projectile or energy "gun" then Colt either has it, had it, or knows where he can get it. He first came to the attention of the Gatherers when he attempted to "procure" Dr. Jones Hollywood Revolver artifact. Though he failed to get his gun he decided to stay close to the group since they seemed so good at finding special weapons. While he still isn't an official member of the team he often accompanies them when they thing they need extra firepower.
  17. I have a few new customs to add from my other lines so first up from the Gender Reverse Universe X-Patriots: Blood Debt (Baroness Helen Zemo) Country of Origin: Germany Powers: Scientific Genius, Master Swordswoman and hand-to-hand Fighter, skilled strategist, immortal body, superhuman strength, speed, and agility It was no surprise that the German government stood against the plans of the X.S.E. They felt that our goals shared to many commonalities with their own dark history. What did surprise us was the hero/heroine they chose to represent them in the X-Patriots. We expected the Zemo's out of all European super beings to stand with us. However, when she refused it wasn't surprising since it was within her character to stand back and let us fight it out and then sweep in and take everything for herself at the end. We would have been fine with this however she actually stood against the X.S.E. and tried to inform the United Nations when the assault on Latveria began. Of course we couldn't let that kind of action go unpunished so we had her silenced. A mistake on our part it would seem. Baroness Zemo died however all of the victims of the Zemo bloodline throughout time resurrected her in a new male Zemo body, transported from an alternate reality, with the mandate that she can never rest until she has paid her family's debt to the dead. Blood Debt has only one known weakness while in the heat of battle the male Zemo can regain control of his body. When this happens the body no longer has the super human abilities or immortality provided by their victims. This is the moment to strike, but it should be noted that even without powers the Zemo's in all realities are highly trained warriors and not to be underestimated. While this strategy may win battles it is only a temporary solution because Blood Debt will eventually return.
  18. Shhh, don't give them ideas! You mean like this? Kang: Wolverine, I am your father. Wolverine: Yeah Bub, I knew that since way back when. I just didn't mention it and make a bigger mess of the timeline.
  19. I think everyone is missing a very important fact, Wolverine was Walt Disney. Of course the franchise was funded by Howard Stark, who is of course one of Wolverine's many children, and Mickey was originally supposed to be a wolverine but was rejected as being to violent and to Canadian for an American audience. As for the possibility of Wolverine killing the Phoenix, I don't see it happening. Even Galactus realized that attempting to kill the Phoenix would be a bad idea. To kill it is "To condemn the cosmos to ultimate extinction." Oh wait, continuity no longer exists in any shape or form so it really doesn't matter anymore.
  20. Thank you. I've got one more Battle Beast but I'm going to wait until after the BB contest to add him.
  21. Malibu Universe Spider-Prime Amalgam Universe Spider-Boy The Slingers costumes.
  22. Name: Rachel-Christine (RC) Fairchild Codename: Fatalis Beast Classification: Human genetically re-engineered into Sabertooth Cat Planet of Origin: Earth Primary Specialty: Infiltration Secondary Specialty: Small Arms and Hand-to-Hand Combat There are certain qualities required to be a member of the U.S. Special Forces. RC, the only child of a long line of distinguished military men, worked very hard to live up to and exceed those qualities. However all of her hard work was nearly ruined when her name came up in a select group of individuals chosen for a Black Ops mission. As the orders came down the "volunteers" were immediately secured and escorted directly to a secret location for their briefing. Unfortunately RC was the only one that had been on leave. Worse yet she had been cos-playing at Botcon and so, not only was she the only female at the meeting she was also the least dressed. Wearing a white bathing suit under pink armor while everyone else was in fatigues got her noticed but probably not in the best light considering the company. About the only thing that didn't go wrong at the briefing was the fact that when the topic of being genetically modified to look like an anthropomorphic animal for the rest of their likely short lives in order to infiltrate an invading alien army RC was the only one that didn't laugh. In fact, she wanted to know how long it would take for the transformation to be complete so that she could get to work. Even the transformation didn't go exactly as planned. She was supposed to be transformed into an easily controllable herbivorous species; instead she ended up becoming a sabertooth cat. The former scientists involved noted that the results may have been related to their limited understanding of the alien equipment they were using but it was more likely that the species choice had more to do with the subjects own personal choice. Later research proved that RC considered herself a member of the Furry subculture and that she most often represented herself as a sabertooth. Once the transformation was complete she was once again outfitted in pink armor. While the official reason for this is that it would make her stand out on the battlefield so that our troops could easily avoid targeting her. It should also be noted that it made it easier to target her. For the first part of her mission she was to be captured by a Battle Beast Bounty Hunter and then transferred to a contact within the Beast's hierarchy in order to learn of the alien's plans for Earth. While she has been performing beyond everyone's expectations some individuals feel that she may be going native and that her usefulness may be coming to an end.
  23. I don't see anywhere in the rules that wearing a fursuit wouldn't be an acceptable entry. Of course adding armor to make it a Battle Beast suit might get expensive or uncomfortable.
  24. Thanks for the vote of confidence but you shouldn't let any entry stop you from competing. Thank you. The only reason he works with and without armor is because he just didn't look right being solid black with all the open areas in the armor. As for the armor at least with the Battle Beast line coming out there is finally a practical use for customs with those giant shoulder pads.
