I figured it out. You need to post a simple Halloween custom. Nine people have put Halloween customs on the Multiverse since this contest started. Thanks everyone! I worked 12 hours yesterday, went home to change poopy diapers, and then fell asleep before i could make myself a birthday martini. I think that means i'll have to gift myself some SDCC exclusives, right?

I know the media is focusing on the shooter and it makes sense because the world wants to know "Why?". But from what I've read, there is nothing special about the shooter. He is a fucking loser dooshbag that committed an act of extreme cowardice and depravity for self centered and selfish reasons. He appears to have wanted to get revenge on the world for his own failings and be immortalized with infamy. Fuck him. The victims are the people who are special. As the stories emerge, there are clearly some amazing people we lost among them. My heart goes out to these people and I hope the survivors can triumph over the evil that violated their lives Thursday night. The world is a lesser place without them.

I cannot imagine what these victims went through. I'm at a loss for words to describe how awful this is. Last night I watched a new episode of "Through The Wormhole" with Morgan Freeman called "Can We Eliminate Evil?" The episode touches on the current research about the brain in neuroscience and mass murderers. It noted that the University of Texas shooter from that massacre was found with a walnut sized tumor in his brain after his autopsy. He even apparently knew that something was wrong with himself because his suicide note asked for an autopsy of his brain. This is all so bizarre for many reasons. This alleged gunman was a PhD student studying neuroscience, meaning he would have been aware of this fact and would also have access to current research about the brain. Some have suggested he was delusional as some reports say he had died his hair red and told police upon capture that he was the Joker. Other reports note the other Batman parallels: Batman's parents killed at the theatre, the Monarch Theatre setting in Arkum City video game, the joker killing the audience with gas in Miller's "Dark Knight". Just so fucked up.

Make that section and anytime someone tries to add one of these to their shopping cart they get hit with a popup message denigrating their intelligence.

Hmm...I think it is actually the promo video on Kickstarter. I saw it linked through Facebook on a post dated yesterday but it may have been around awhile. It's the one with the baby in the car between Digger and Kevin Smith. Digger - Thanks for the detailed response. You've got my interest. Would it be possible to give a pledge that will give me all the Minimates including the red 88? Hells yes to a character in your series that is a Minimate/collector and enthusiast. That is the type of lunacy I love! You should have led with that nugget of info on MMMV. Just be sure your writer knows his Ma Hunkel from his Ultimate Avengers 2 Hulk variants or the MMMV will be livid.

I watched Digger's trailer for Agent 88 that he posted on Facebook last night and I really was hoping the baby in the car was going to kill someone. The promotional trailer answers some questions. Apparently this project is a web series and not a feature film. It looks well made and professional. I am curious about the business model. Is the plan to generate revenue from ads featured on Dig Deep Entertainment's site or by selling merchandise? I'm unaware of any pay per view web series and this project seems like it will broadcast episodes free on the web. Or is the ultimate goal to get picked up by a network? How many episodes will Kickstarter kick start? What is the target audience for this video project? A ton of Kickstarter video projects seem to cater to very niche interests like documentaries on art. Others seem to be trying to cash in on fads like zombies. Is the idea to appeal to a wide audience? Can an elderly British actress carry a lead role for 18 - 35 male demographic in the martial arts genre when competing with fare led by the Angelina Jolie's or Scarlet Johanssons? Also how does this contrast with movies like RED with elderly assassins and Bruce Willis? I hope I'm not coming across like a hater as I'm honestly neutral about these Minimates, and I am curious how this project develops. I was also neutral about Goth Girl and Duff as well and eventually picked them up. A "Digger" minimate would be cool to me as would a "Chuck" and a "Zach" (ok,ok a "Robert" too). Hopefully we at least get zombie versions in the Walking Dead line.

I think the idea of using Kickstarter to get Minimates made is a cool idea but I have my doubts about this project. Kickstarter seems to be ideally suited for products that are new, innovative and novel. The JaJa Stylus for iPad or the Ouya or the Bia come to mind. Personally, I was hoping Luke or Stuckakid would launch the first Kickstarter campaign to make exclusive Minimates of a popular license. Or a Minimate accessory product like brick arms. Movie tchotchkes? If I'm going to drop a grand on an action figure based on my likeness, it's going to be highly articulated, four horseman sculpted masterpiece. And I'm going to get 250 of them to shower upon my friends, family, and enemies. A grand for one Minimate? If this project tanks, one glaring failure will be the utter lack of engagement of the social network of fans. Does Digger even know MMMV exists? Fan feedback can make or break a campaign. Here is another idea: Kickstarter funding to produce official Charitymates. If you invest, you get to buy 2packs at cost otherwise you pay retail price that includes a portion of the final price going to charity. Wam, bam, thank you 'mam. Investing in tchotchkes to fund a movie someone else owns? Consider my interest piqued if the movie has an eight month baby assassin sidekick. Fuck CGI animated teddy bears, a tiny baby killing terrorists would be a blockbuster smash hit.

You fail to mention the pungent aroma of the socially awkward attendees. Huffing it around the exhibit floors to get the exclusives ends up working these mom's basement dwellers into an sticky oily lather. It is actually quite a feat making such a massive convention center smell like a giant butt.

Whoa, Mr. Negative! Don't lose hope. Five years ago, everyone on this board would have given The Avengers movie a 10% chance of being successful. Hawkeye? He uses a bow and arrow as his "super-power". How the hell do you make that cool when bad guys routinely carry AK-47s? But Marvel pulled it off with the blockbuster of the summer. The best DC stories occur when the DC characters are allowed to be gods. Angst only works with Batman. The problem is no one is daring to break the mold established by the dark and edgy stories. I think a Justice League movie that goes directly to what fans want to see - a spectacular CGI filled explosion of mayhem between the Justice League and Legion of Doom - would be a hit. Screw the origin story. Make the no holds barred extravaganza everyone wants to see and do the origin stories after you've destroyed half of earth in the beat down battle of the 21st century. If fans take a liking to one of the Justice League characters, then that becomes your spin off. I would like to see an experiment with cloth capes and DC Minimates would be a cool testing ground. Use Luke's wire design with logo's printed on the cape and you are good to go. Lastly, I do think people identify with gods but not on a strictly personal level. These types of stories are bigger than us and tell us something about ourselves and who we want to be. Greek Mythology communicates some timeless themes about good and evil, morality, love, and death.

It's good to hear these sorts of comments, as long time minimate collectors I think we have pretty definitive views of what we think of a minimate being & forget that the new super sculpted look of these is what some people actually want. T. I am actually enjoying the move to highly sculpted pieces with Battle Beast Minimates. To me it opens the door to properties that couldn't otherwise exist in Minimates form. Simpsons comes to mind.

Great call. Am I remembering correctly that Wave 14 is to be a companion to Wave 48 but no repeats between sets? If so, I think we will see another Inhuman or two in Wave 14. But Airwalker/Firelord makes perfect sense to go with an FF wave. I also think She-Hulk in FF uniform will be in the TRU wave.

After seeing that fat piece on the Tekken guy, I'm convinced we will get Blob soon.
