I would love Spawn minimates too. That was my favorite comic when it first came out. I think I ended up losing interest around issue 100 though. Is McFarlane still douchey? I know he came off as pretty arrogant when the Spawn comics were extremely popular. I wonder if his head has deflated since the mid 90's?

I know this is an old thread, but I was thinking about it today and am wondering why we haven't gotten anything like this. We have received 3 box sets of female characters, but no male characters yet. I would love to see a box set with Savage Dragon, Pitt, Maxx and Ripclaw from Cyberforce. Hell I would love to see Cyberforce, Wetworks, Youngblood, and other 90's Image or Top Cow box sets released. I wonder what is keeping us from getting something like that, especially now that Valliant Comics minimates have been announced.

I was never really a fan of Valiant comics. I think I read a couple Turok comics and I'm pretty sure I have the first issue of Ninjak stored away. I always thought that they weren't on the same quality level as Marvel and DC back then. I'm sure it has it's fans though as Turok has been around forever it seems.

Dave, any chance you could do a version 2 for Man-at-Arms helmet and make it more cartoon or comic accurate?

My parts from Shapeways finally showed up today. I can now make a Faker and finish off my Skeletor this weekend. I also got parts to make Man-at-Arms too. I think I am going to sand down the stripe on his helmet though. It looks way too high now that I see it in person. Hopefully I can sand it without breaking it Now I just need to find a Haggar head to use for Man-at-Arms. I should have extra cash in a couple weeks to place another big order on Shapeways for more of your stuff. Hopefully you will have MOTU stuff by then too. Also, I took a closer look at my Skeletor armor with the cowl. The hole that the head is supposed to fit into looks to be the same size as the neck hole for my Skeletor armour without the cowl (quite a bit smaller). I wonder if shapeways will send me another since it is too small.

I'm wondering how these sold at everyone's LCBS. I stopped at mine the day after they got them in stock. I had $20 in store credit so I bought Burke, Spunkmeyer and an alien. Wierzbowski was the only one that had been sold thus far. I came back Saturday to buy the other two aliens that I needed and there was only one Alien left (which I snatched up). These are probably the fastest selling minimates that I have seen at my LCBS. I wish I had the extra money to get a bunch of them when I first saw them. I may end up just buying a case from Luke and selling the extras that I don't need. If they sold as fast for others as they did for me I could see us getting numerous Alien/Aliens sets. They turned out looking so damn cool. I still have my fingers crossed that we get a crawling version of the alien too at some point.

I live about an hour and a half north. I would love to come and hang with everyone. Now I just have to talk the wife into it.

I'm down for it this year. My finances should be back in order in a couple weeks so I should be good to go.

I'm not sure how much smaller the hole was, but there is no way a head would fit in it without quite a bit of sanding. It must have just been a bad print if it fit fine for Captain Paco. Also, I prefer the newer Evil-Lyn crown too.

I think that would have been a cool ending. Too bad they couldn't get him to do it due to his schedule. I'm still hoping to see Dutch in the new Predator movie.

I was going to post my custom Skeletor here last night but ran into a problem. The Skeletor cowl showed up Saturday so I spent Sunday painting it. I went to put him together last night and discovered to my horror that The head would not fit up into the hood. The hole was too small. I tried it on my other one which was made in ultra frosted detail and the head fit. The cowl that I painted was done in the polished purple plastic I believe. I'm not sure if it was a printing error, or if the type of plastic that was used is what is causing the problem, but be cautious with which one you choose. To make matters worse I ended up breaking the straps on the one that was in ultra frosted detail when I was taking it off. I need to figure out what material is strong, but yet shows good detail. I have two more coming without the hood, but it has been taking almost a month lately to get my orders from them. Hopefully these work good when they arrive.

What is this original ending you speak of? Please tell me more.

I cant wait. Any idea when Man-e-Faces will be on shapeways to order?

Any idea if these will be revealed tomorrow, or at least the concept art?

This will be the first time that I order a whole case. These are fantastic. My only complaint is Pyro's mask. It looks way to bulky and reminds me of the bulky lego Batman masks

Predator is my second most wanted minimates line. MOTU is number one. I wonder what is all included in the license? Is it Predator 1 and 2, or does it include Predators and the new Predator movie coming out? Aliens vs. Predator would be awesome too even though the movies kinda sucked. It would get us a Predalien though if they do make them based on the Aliens vs. Predator movies. Also does that mean I will finally get a Blaine minimate?? Heck, I want Dutch and the rest of the crew too. Damn I'm so excited to hear the news.

Can someone post pics of these? I would love to see how they all look now that they are out.

I used to collect the old Spawn figures until they basically turned into semi-poseable statues. It seems at that time that they also became very fragile too. I don't know how many I had that broke just by falling over. I loved the Predator and Aliens ones too, but they were just too fragile. My Alien Queen tipped over and her arm broke off at the socket. Sine then I swore off collecting any McFarlane figures. I have almost broke down and bought that Daryl and Merle set numerous times. I just can't pull the trigger though after my past experiences.

I was able to play Alien Isolation for a couple hours today. If you are a fan of Alien then you are going to love this game. It starts a tad slow, but damn, wait until you are an hour and a half or so into the game. My hands were so damn sweaty from playing. This game more than makes up for the mediocre Alien:Colonial Marines. I will sit and play it some more tomorrow. Just make sure you play it in the dark with the sound turned way up. I am so pumped up for these minimates right now. Also Zach, you should send a few pics to the blood-disgusting.com website. They cover everything that deals with horror, from movies to toys. It kinda pisses me off when they show toys for something like Alien, but there is no mention of Alien minimates, which are 10x better than a lot of the Alien toys out there!

Hopefully we see a running on all fours version of the Big Chap in a future release! I can't wait for this set and hopefully we do get more than one 4 pack. I really want Alien Resurrection minimates too. The story wasn't that great, but it had some awesome characters in it. I enjoyed it 100x more than Alien 3. Also don't get me started on how cool Predator and Alien vs Predator minimates would be too.

I think I'm going to pass on this wave. I'm not a huge fan of minimate waves based on movies. The only one I have really liked so far is the Captain America: Winter Soldier wave. I thought that wave was fantastic. Now if this wave incuded Warpath, Blink, Quicksilver and Bishop I would have been all over it. Unfortunately we are just getting more of the same old X-men movieverse minimates.

Keldor has his furry briefs back up for order, so that's one less thing to worry about. I will be keeping an eye out for the Mekanek parts to show up. I plan on making Mer-man and Beast Man customs too. I bought a few extra Sasquatch minimates to use as a base for my Beast Man. Any chance for Mer-man Armor and sword down the line? I included a pic for reference. I think I am going to order a few of your Iron Man arms to use for my Trapjaw custom. I love the Gatling gun arm!

I grew up with the old 80"s cartoon and toys, but really ended up loving the 200X cartoon and toys. My customs will be a mixture of old and new styles so the Man-at-Arms helmet works great for me. I can't wait for my two orders to arrive so I can get working on them.

Well Dave, you have now made me want to make a custom of the lamest MOTU figure I can think of lol. Any idea when the Mekanek parts will be on shapeways? Also, is there any chance you could make a club for Man-at-Arms and one for Mekanek? How about some slip over furry shorts with a belt? Keldor from shapeways used to have some furry ones he designed, but for some reason he doesn't have them for sale on there anymore. The race is on Josh. Who will be posting their next MOTU custom first???? I'm still waiting for my last shapeways order to ship, plus I just ordered more parts tonite. Maybe I will re-do my Trap Jaw minimate while I wait for my new parts to arrive.
