  1. I hope that the Marvel NOW! Wave 49 will feature their flagship title - Uncanny Avengers. We practically have Wolverine and Captain America already so I hope Thor, Scarlet Witch, Rogue and Havok are in the line-up. This will continue my (and others, I'm sure) habit of re-creating comic covers for display.
  2. Zach, I always appreciate you going the extra mile in answering all of our queries. TM2 Dinobot, NorthRaider has also been silent, if not totally invisible in our local forums. Last I saw her was at our local Toycon this June, she still collects minimates though. Probably just busy, I'll let her know she is missed.
  3. Good chance for others who missed out on Defenders Dr. Strange!
  4. Hi Squall, This might be late, but happy birthday buddy!
  5. Loved his gentle giant performance in The Green Mile...RIP.
  6. One small death of a man, One giant loss for mankind... RIP Mr. Neil Armstrong.
  7. Has anyone else noticed that old DC minimates (W1 Superman,W1 Batman, Powergirl, Dr. Fate, Deathstroke, etc.) seem to be at par with newer Marvel minimates? Edit: And no, this is not an attempt to derail the thread into "How I wish we still had DC minimates..." :deathstroke:
  8. Walking Dead 101 cannot come fast enough. SPOILERS... So the originals are only left with Rick, Carl, Andrea and Sophia?
  9. My sympathies and condolences extend to the victims and their families. Makes one wonder what goes on in the criminal mind...
  10. Congratulations Zach, and Good Luck!
  11. I still can't get that image off my head.
  12. And I am now paranoid about any tingling sensation in my legs while I browse the web...
  13. No other collectible will make me happier than an original Albert Einstein autograph, to be the centerpiece of my Einstein collection. It appears on ebay from time to time at a reasonable price, but I'm very cautious. On the other hand, those that constantly get relisted are being sold by more reputable sellers, but I can't afford it.
  14. You know, I always browse local toy stores hoping to find some good accessories and compatible playsets. And I always wish I had a minimate with me to compare scales. I recently bought Puppy in My Pocket and only when I got home did I realize that the dogs were too big for the minis. I tried to justify by searching a pic of Dogpool that was bigger than usual, to no avail. Dogpool was your usual sized dog. This is actually a good idea. Now I have to think which mini to bring with me.
  15. ^Likewise, although Zach has informed that it might be difficult, at this time, to find Red Hulk's right feet. I got mine with two lefties.
  16. Haha, nice catch hellpop. I'm sure the Kadre is dying of jealousy right now. Myself, I have Uncanny X-men 8, which is nothing special but just a Blob on the cover. But I have a couple of the Neal Adams Uncanny X-Men issues, including the first appearance of the newly-minimated Alex Summers. Wait, how do we define Silver Age? Is it up to the release of Giant-Size X-Men 1 in 1975?
  17. MINI_MYTE, Truly awesome work. Everything clicked. Your humor and puns blend perfectly with your amazing shots. Thank you for creating this. Had a blast reading it.
  18. Oh how I count the remaining hours (10 to be exact) before I am able to view these pics at my home computer.
  19. Makes me remember its progenitor - Powers of 10. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Has anyone ever experienced getting oily minimates from the Marvel vs. Capcom Boxset 2 (Rulk, Iron Man, Morrigan, Megaman). I surmise it's quite similar to the oily abs of Hot Toys DX02 Batman. My Iron Man's helmet is very oily as well as the inside of Megaman's helmet.
  21. Doesn't matter, Bobby will probably just be cool about it.
  22. Oops. Kinda hard to discuss this without religious implications. Anyhow, I've heard Christian prophets from my country say that the End is really near. Although 'near' is very vague. Is it within 5 years, 10 years, within or the century? I highly doubt it. As I am not religious, I don't particularly subscribe to any supernatural end scenario. The Sun will last for another 5 billion years, so that's definitely a deadline. But will the world survive long enough to witness that? I don't think so. Humanity will exhaust Earth's resources way before the Sun grows into a supernova. But I do believe in human resourcefulness, so I believe we will find a way to adapt and colonize other planets or systems. Of course, if it's the Universe's demise we are talking about, then poof, we are all gone, physically anyway. Oh, and the signs of the end of times, same old story. Bubonic Plague, Great Depression, The World Wars and the minor wars, Y2K all produced similar 'signs'. But we're still here. And I'm sure we'll still play with our minimates on January 1, 2013. Wanna bet?
