I can see that long-term thinking pretty clearly with their casting of a younger actor. And with the upcoming (All new, all different) Spiderman title that will be featuring Peter taking a mentoring role over Miles, it wouldn't surprise me if Marvel Studios' plan is to utilize Tom Holland as the focus of the films for the next decade or so, and then bring in Miles to 'rejuvenate' the franchise, with a clearly aged Holland taking on the mentoring role. Aside from the long wait, I think I could get behind a plan like that. It would give Miles enough traction (in terms of accumulated comic history) to make the film transition feel a bit more natural.

I'm 4 episodes in as of now, and my main thought through all of it has been that this show nails the fight scene choreography. The acting, directing, writing, cinematography, and tone are all stellar. All the right elements of an amazing show in perfect balance. But the fights are my favorite aspect. I would love to see Daredevil and Cap fighting side by side.

Yeah, they're not listed. But then, they might be keeping certain actors' involvements on the dl to add a bit of a surprise. Okay, probably not. There are already tons of characters in this flick who have to share screen time... Also, I think the current theory, based on trailer footage, is that Carter is in the 'vision' that Scarlet Witch makes Cap see

I like that idea. Fox definitely has a vast library of characters and storylines to draw from. If they handle it correctly, they could certainly give Marvel Studios a run for their money in terms of covering a broad range of genres.

it wouldn't surprise me if the X-Men movie universe starts branching away from the characters that we've already seen in half a dozen flicks over the last 15 years (apparently Fox is starting to notice fan fatigue surrounding several of their heavily used characters). If the Deadpool movie takes off, it's possible that he could become the new center of the movies and breathe a new vitality into the IP for the studio. If/when they do end up recasting Wolverine, I would imagine that they would take their time and let fans adjust to the new look/feel of their cinematic universe before reminding them that the definitive Wolverine actor is gone.

Whoever it is, they're giving off a pretty solid shadow despite the fact that they're glowing...

I don't think I ever bought anything there, but I did enjoy going in from time to time just to see (or show people) the T-Rex and various other cool attractions. I wonder what will happen to all of that stuff...

I think what pushes it too far for me is how thin the black lines are, and how crammed the zags on the chest stripe look. It just seems as though they were over emphasizing the 'detail' aspect of it, like an early 90's comic artist more concerned with flash than style (which, interestingly enough, is a criticism I've received frequently on my own artwork). It just gives an odd aesthetic overall, and it doesn't seem consistent with most of the other current releases. Still, I do find that it has a certain appeal

Yep, it's almost a certainty that he was referring to playing Blackbolt (hence my statement about being curious if the Inhumans movie will be the bridge to a galaxy far far away). I can see it being unlikely that the movies will merge the MCU with Star Wars, but there is still something of a president for it, with Marvel Studios successfully pushing their 'brand' into outer space at the same time that Disney's newly acquired Star Wars 'brand' began producing a new trilogy and numerous spinoffs. There *could* be connectability if Disney so chooses. That being said, the only reason I'm even thinking about it is because of the "merging of brands" comment. Personally, I see Marvel as its own brand. I don't think of it like the 'Avengers brand' and the 'GOTG brand' all under the 'Marvel brand', especially since the Inhumans movie is taking place after the Avengers engage in the Infinity War. It seems that Marvel's sub 'brands' would already be merged at that point... But yeah, I'll say again that I'm probably making a huge leap with that theory.

I've been wondering the same thing for a while, ever since Vin Diesel was interviewed about his potential future with Marvel. He was only officially talking about voicing Groot, but mentioned that Marvel Studios were grooming him for a big role several years down the line. He referred to it as a "merging of brands". The first thing that popped into my mind was that brand 1 is Marvel, and brand 2 is Star Wars. I've been keeps my my eyes open on the net for anyone else talking about that connection, but it doesn't seem to be a solid idea to most people. Perhaps I'm making a huge and illogical jump. But I do think it makes sense, especially now with Marvel having branched out into space based stories. I would be very curious to see if the Inhumans movie creates some sort of bridge with a galaxy far far away (not necessarily excited, but still curious)

As always, Mini Myte, you have excelled at your craft. Thank you so much for putting this all together, and creating a labor of love. I seriously feel that this is one of the best things about collecting Minimate! I always find it interesting to compare the results with my own votes. And I love how the jokes fit so perfectly with the whole experience and elevate the entertainment of it (this year's personal fav was Doc Ock using Sandman to salt the walkway, right in front of Luke promoting the Deadly Foes set with a sign in the crowd - brilliant touch). Now I can't wait for next year's award show

I just finished Gracepoint, before realizing it was the American adaptation of Broadchurch. It's interesting now to watch Broadchurch and compare the subtle differences between the two offerings. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is hilarious and fun, and I'm eager for season 2. The theme has been stuck in my head for days. I've been watching The 100 recently, and I have to say that while it started out as a clear ripoff of The Hunger Games, it has developed to be a pretty interesting watch on it's own merit. Not award winning material, and it could do without the tween appeal, but it has it's strengths.

For anyone in the Portland OR area; I spotted these today at the Beaverton/Tigard TRU (across from the Washington Square Mall). I found them in the specialty aisle, and unfortunately all that was left were some IM/Ronan & Mysterio/Spidey packs, right next to a boatload of Valiant packs.
