  1. Speaking of MOTU Pops, Disco Skeletor was announced last night as one of the SDCC exclusives:
  2. I can't say I really care what he looks like, I just wonder if jerky is still the best way to bribe DST Marketing Supervisors to get one...
  3. Perhaps he'll be marinated in buffalo sauce? That actually makes me want a buffalo Battle Beast now (with or without wings).
  4. 'Hot Wings' Merk? Seriously, I think I would go to San Diego just to be there on Thursday night. http://www.artasylum.com/2013/07/diamond-select-toys-to-open-minimates-headquarters-at-comic-con-international/
  5. I'm just waiting for you to start mass producing alcoves for Borgs and Starks...
  6. I just opened my second set and found Composite Hulk has a bad peg in one of his feet so the leg can't fit down over the peg at all. Looks like I'm sending an e-mail also.
  7. Not a fan of Bond films, but you can call me when they start making M films. Why does it seem like this wave has taken forever to hit stores?
  8. Yeah, I've luck there too on occasion. I've found if you're looking for Minimates that are a year or two old though that the store in Lafayette will probably have them.
  9. No crap. And the rest of that wave. And SFxT. And the non-exclusive TWD series 3. And Kirk/Kahn. You seriously have one of the most abundant places for Minimates, just not ones anyone wants any more. And yet new product still comes in.
  10. I've been driving through Chicago before on the 4th and saw several fireworks show as they reflected off of Lake Michigan. It was awesome. Oh, and an update that Mary Marvel Minimate has suffered serious burns and a few lost limbs from a series of explosions. I'm sad to report that she did not pull through.
  11. Just got back from the fireworks store and plan on blowing up a couple Minimates tonight. Yes, I say like this for shock value.
  12. Yeah, I'm weird like that. And I never considered myself having that large of a collection, but I guess I probably do. I suppose I could have that in my obituary or something.
  13. I've actually had both for about a year. Someone here mentioned a comic shop they'd seen the Sentinel in so I tracked it down on-line, called them and they shipped it here. I did learn that you should never pay a shop over the phone and not nail down how much shipping will be. Their estimate was more than $10 off of what they ended up charging me. In the end, I still got a Sentinel for around %$6 or $70 if I remember right. Looking back at my last post, I still can't believe I'm considering buying something related to the Hulk where I need to use a payment plan. If it were Squirrel girl, I wouldn't even question the cost, but Hulk is just a little different.
  14. I've only got one statue outside of the Maximates, but when I saw that Hulk I think I might be adding that to my collection. I have no idea how or where I'll display it, but details like that can be figured out later.
  15. I know all I saw in that post were the words 'series 3'. As far as I'm concerned, there will never be a better Minimate line than Battle Beasts.
  16. For some reason, I expected to read your post as 'Professor and Mary Ann'. Now I want Gilligan's Island Minimates.
  17. I don't follow wrestling enough to know who this 'Nelson Mandella' character you speak of is.
  18. I just heard that Doink the Clown has passed away at age 55. I never really followed wrestling after its heyday in the 80's, but I did enjoy Doink some in his prime.
  19. I'd say it's not as easy as it sounds Rob. Last night, I accidently super glued my wedding ring to my finger. I suppose for the short-term it looks like my options are limited.
  20. I know this seems out of the blue, but I just wanted to say somewhere just how much I can't wait until series 2 comes out (I know it's a long wait though). These easily became my favorite Minimate line and I'm just glad they're continuing. They always reminded me of Minimate versions of Seventh Kingdom toys. Just wanted to get that out there (and my wife doesn't really care when I tell her stuff like this).
  21. No, it actually is 'Being Humon'. It's a documentary series that follows Rom and Nog as they dwell among the inhabitants of DS9. The only thing listed in that list that I'd want Minimates from is GoT and that's not happening. Short of something 'big' (Star Wars, GI Joe, MOTU, etc). there's not much out there any more that would get me excited about new licenses. Well, I suppose The Tick Minimates would excite me, but not much else.
  22. http://www.artasylum.com/2013/07/ask-dst-212-minima-ahhh-you-already-know/ New Q&A is up. Nothing Earth-shattering this time around, except maybe that BTTF is done (who knew that releasing a set with a Principal as a Minimate wouldn't sell well?). I did appreciate the long question that ended with 'Email me back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!'. It made me chuckle.
  23. Very interesting Luke. Though I don't really do customs, I'm amazed to see how much customizing has evolved in the Minimate world over the last ten years. And speaking of decals...do you still have plans to update your zombie decal pack to match some of the TWD zombie colors? Since there's several that you get two of in a wave, some more zombie options would be awesome.
  24. Also going back to the last page, it was mentioned how the Funko Pops got clearance out cheap and that that hasn't stopped Disney from making more. In actuality, Disney Stores will no longer be carrying Pop figures and any more Disney figures will just be released through normal stores and LCSs from now starting with the next group of 12 in July. Probably not a good example of 'just because it got clearance big doesn't mean it won't be in Disney Stores again', however I would hope both lines would serve as an example that you've got to have the right character selection out at the right time.
