  1. Trekker42 and neolego, you all need to get out of my head! Seriously, you both just about summed up my reaction to the episode(s). I'm also bored with the 'go to the future to see a big explosion' thing, and it seems like they've got Parkman doing what Hiro did in Season 2, off on some bizarre tangent far removed from the rest of the action. That's a shame, because Parkman is my favorite character, along with Nathan. I'm just throwing this out there, but it seems like with Evil Claire coming up, they're going to have Sylar and Claire get 'involved'. I'm not saying I WANT that to happen, in fact the thought of it makes me throw up a little in my mouth. But, that's the vibe I got from the uber-creepy brain massage scene. Another thing, Trekker42, you asked 'So if Peter is Jesse, where is Jesse?'. I think it's more apt to ask, where's Peter? My interpretation is that we're seeing Peter's consciousness in Jesse's body, and that as such, Peter now has whatever powers Jesse has. The alternative is that it's Peter's body with some effect that makes him look like Jesse, but if that were the case, you would think Peter could figure out how to undo the effect, since his future self put him in that situation. Ugh, I'm so confused! Anyway, I really would like to know what happened to Peter's body, and does it have Jesse's consciousness in it?
  2. I'm just gonna go ahead and put on my about-face. I'm definitely getting this set, even though I'm sure I'll never see the movie. The figures look cool, and DST absolutely did the right thing by making this a 4-character pack instead of a whole wave, which I wouldn't have bought. These thugs will make excellent generic bad guy fodder for Spider-Man or Batman to whale on!
  3. Dafoe head on the SM3 New Goblin body - EXACTLY what I was thinking. Also, I'm going to have to get around to watching this movie! Can't believe I've let it slip by.
  4. More BSG Minimates? Two new characters? A new skin job Cylon? Heaven!
  5. I'll give them credit for this - a box set makes a lot more sense than a whole wave. Maybe some of the Ghost Rider 'mates will appear in a box set sometime down the line?
  6. I'm 100% pro-AA blog updates like these, even without pics. However, this particular news leaves me cold. I'll likely skip this entire wave, as I never much liked the Punisher books.
  7. Definitely fan made, though nice. Nolan hasn't even said he's making another!
  8. Whoah, the figures are LARGER than Minimates? So they're not in scale with regular Lego figures? Surprising! MOC, could you please post a size comparison pic?
  9. I ordered one, and it too arrived in post-Hulk-Smash condition. The card is bent and curled, and the bubble is separating from the card on the left and right. Fortunately I'm an opener and the 'mate is in fine shape, but it is annoying. I keep the backing cards from all my packages, so I'm somewhat bummed that this one - sporting a cool, colorful design - arrived ruined. Maybe if you buy more than one, you get them shipped in a box? Can anyone comment?
  10. Civil War Iron Man comes with a pair of normal yellow feet, as seen here: http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_041808a.htm
  11. That McLego Joker is looking FAB--U--LOUS! Didn't I see him in Mama Mia?
  12. Damn, Shane, this is the LAST thing that New Orleans needs. I'll be hoping for the best for you and your family.
  13. Seeing these confirms for me that the Lost characters would translate perfectly into Minimates. Plus, all the accessories are already made. DST already has knife and gun molds, plus handcuffs and cell phones from the 24 line, plus the guitar from BTTF or Chef Duff.
  14. I've said before that if Minimates didn't exist, I'd be gung-ho into Galactic Heroes and all the other properties in the same style. Gambitron, when you find yourself with unwanted multiples, consider selling them in bulk lots on eBay - you probably won't get what you originally paid, but you'll at least get back some cash. Or, consider donating them to Goodwill or Toys For Tots. You won't get anything for them besides warm, fuzzy feelings, and isn't that what toys are all about?
  15. I think when I ordered it said 'Backordered # -8', but I did get a confirmation email, so I'm confident I'll be getting one.
  16. Thanks for posting, MiniFiend. I'm really impressed with those, especially Satipo. He's very recognizable, considering his 'costume' is just a grubby, sweaty guy.
  17. I believe there was a request for 'cute chicks'? http://www.nbcsandiego.com/slideshow/whats...152/detail.html
  18. Neolego, I can totally understand where you're coming from. I have been going through and epiphany of sorts regarding my Star Wars collection. Used to be, I had to have as much as I could afford - Hasbro, Galoob, Lego, Master Replicas, Sideshow, autographs, you name it. But as time went on, I realized that having a lot of stuff was a real chore. I had to worry about safe storage and display, and always hunting down that one last impossible to find figure. So I've been selling off almost all of my collection, and honestly it feels really good. Like you, I've held on to a few choice items - a few personalized autographs, my MicroMachine playsets, and my three Force FX Lightsabers, which are my all-time favorite collectible. I'm glad you'll still be around here! I look forward to seeing pics of your 'best of the best' Minimates!
  19. Part of me was hoping to see a new character a la Toyfare Starbuck, but in retrospect I'm glad they went this way. I'd like to pick one up eventually, but I'm not going to pay top dollar for it, since I can make my own with a simple head swap. Hopefully most of these got handed out to non-Minimate collectors, inspiring them to get into Minimates.
  20. I hope someone can help you out, TITAN, but I saw the line at the Hasbro booth on Thursday, and it was looooong. Maybe CC will show up on hasbrotoyshop.com soon. Also, after witnessing first-hand the madness of Comic Con, I can say that Shane made some really great points in his post up there. Because SDCC is so huge, getting almost any exclusive means waiting in long, boring lines, and most likely missing out on a panel that you'd like to see, or missing another exclusive. I'm no fan of scalping, but I do believe people should be compensated for their efforts. If a friend went to the con for me and got me an exclusive toy at the expense of doing something fun, I would owe him big time! Best of luck to you!
  21. Big thanks to Tim aka TBT! for posting the info! And sorry I didn't run into any MMMV'ers at the con. I only went on Thursday, and that was more than enough for me - check my blog for more on that topic. Anyway, I'll chime in and say this news is rather anticlimactic. I'm not a big Punisher fan, and I know next to nothing about the Spirit. But I will say that knowing there will be 'mates for it makes me more inclined to see the movie. So, I take it there was not a Minimate giveaway at the panel? Or at the Sci-Fi booth?
  22. Storm 1:08: Thanks for confirming for me that I'm missing a repulsor hand. Since I'm not going back to the con, I guess I'll have to email DST about the missing part. bilbofett: I just may have to ask you for one of your spare repulsor hands, if DST doesn't get back to me!
  23. A Dark Knight set like that would be an instant classic, and a great way to start the new line. Also, they could easily get two 5-packs out of Watchmen, if not more. If they made Watchmen 'mates, you could put a smiley face button on me.
