When does that TRU sale end?

I've been wanting those for years. They're in my Top 3 licenses to have Minimates of (TMNT, Power Rangers, Mortal Kombat). I'd think they'd sell very well, especially given how popular the current cartoon is.

I'm glad these are showing up. Can't wait to track down this wave and wave 48.

I'm not saying it's a bad deal. I just won't buy them for $9.99 when I can get them for $7.49 at Toys R Us or way cheaper when the comic book shop runs a sale (for whatever reason Minimates don't move too well there) and I can get all the newer stuff on sale at 20%-30% off. I am kinda surprised that Toys R Us hasn't marked up the Walking Dead Minimates like they did with the Ninja Turtles figures. Seems like those things go up an extra buck every week they continue to be super popular.

Does anybody else need these? I can get everyone except the variant. No, they did raise it. I meant they steadily climbed from $7.99 to $8.99 to $9.99 over the past year or two. I don't buy them when they first come out anymore (especially now that they just went up another buck). I wait until they haves sales where they have 20%-30% off everything in the store.

Man, those new Ghostbusters Minimates look waaaay better!

The new Walking Dead stuff looks great. I'm super excited about Invincible and and the new Aliens stuff. I'm not a fan at all of the new Marvel Now TRU wave. Looks like that'll be the first wave that I completely pass up. I just noticed that the Fury Jr. Minimates comes with an alternate head so we can finally get a Commander Rogers!

I was a little let down with some of the other news (cough Lost In Space cough) but this is awesome. Big fan of the comic and these Minimates look great!

...I don't really like any of them. The robe and hands on Mandarin look good. If I can figure out how to make him look better, I might pick one up to fix it up.

Lost In Space, eh? That's a definite pass for me. Aliens is a cool suprise. I'm not an Aliens fan by any means but I'd pick up a few Aliens to display. My X-men can fight them instead of the Brood now. Hopefully this leads to Aliens vs. Predator or just Predator down the road. I'm hoping the Tomb Raiders and Invincibles license news included Minimates.

Did anyone notice the Tomb Raider and Invincible mentions? I'm pretty pumped about those. Not so much for Lost In Space

Hahaha! I spotted this wave at my local comic book shop. They didn't have the variant. Also, not sure if this is across the board, but Minimates there are now $9.99 (they have steadily climbed from $7.99 recently all the way up to $9.99 now).

I'll show you the "definitive Punisher" once I get this new one and combine all of the others to make the ultimate Punisher (not to be confused with Ultimate Punisher if he exists in that universe, haha).

Is anyone still looking for the TRU Wave 2 sets?

Don't ever use a gift card with the TRU online orders. They cancelled my order and I had used up the rest of my gift card so I had thrown it out. I had to keep calling and it took them about two weeks to send me another gift card in the mail. I've had about 4-5 orders cancelled on me when it showed that what I bought was in stock at the time that I bought it.

1. They're not super expensive. 2. They're easy to take apart and make customs. 3. The character selection is great. 4. It's awesome how they are so many different brands. 5. The accessories are amazing. 6. They're really fun to look at and pose.

This is going to be tough. I felt like there were so many awesome Minimates this year as opposed to previous years.

FINALLY! I just picked up the entire set at TRU.com and used my $10 off that they gave me for complaining a few days ago about their Minimates being labeled incorrectly and cancelling orders on items that were "in stock".

Do what I do. Just buy doubles to get the free shipping and return whatever you don't need to Toys R Us next time you go. Works everytime.

Interesting. The prices are a little higher than I was expecting but at least we have another source to get Minimates now!

I am in no way a completist. I never bought any of the Battlestar Galactica or Halo figures and I avoided most of the Heroes figures (I had to load up on the Cops). I also skipped out on any Marvel Ultimate stuff, Fear Itself, and I'll be passing on any of the Marvel Now stuff as well. I said I was a little worried about these guesses before because it sounds like it might not be something that most of us here would be interested in. I'm all for it though if it is Disney related because that really would help bring some more fans into the game and help with the longevity of the figures that we do like and collect.
