Marvel is the reason AA created a 2" Minimate body. Because of Toy Biz, AA wasn't allowed to offer figures over 2". Good eye on the elbow joint, though. I'm pretty sure that's unique to the 3" 'mate. Right. I forgot about the height restriction. I wonder if they made a few 3" Marvel mock-ups before they hammered out the conditions of the license? Also neat is the original hand design and the knee joint looks different as well.

If you look at the elbow joints on the original design poster they have the old 3" design. Was the Marvel line initially going to be in the 3" scale? Or did the original 2" Minimate have the same elbow joint as it's larger brother?

Hallowe'en A-pples! This is my Link costume from last year. I picked up the sword and shield at Medieval Times and repainted them. @ DonnyB - that Vorin drawing is sick!

I completely agree although who knows what Nickelodeon is doing with the licensing. I think it could be an amazing line for DST and surely there are more TMNT fans than Thundercats fans in terms of sheer numbers. I would love to see a "new" line based on the current cartoon and a "classic" line based on the original comic.

I imagine they'll use the pilot as part of a pitch package to producers and production companies. Subsequent episodes might depend on getting some more producers on board and maybe inking some kind of airing and/or distribution deal.

Nah, I think I'm done with the Alex Ross stuff. And I don't have a Wolverine mask in the ol' parts bin so there's no way I could whip one up before the auction ends. I kinda like him sans mask though. And I'm glad people are liking Captain N! I used to love that show.

Thanks guys! These are the only two I had planned to make but you never know! I've got a few figures from 80's cartoon shows on the workbench at the moment. This was a pretty easy mod. I just cut off the tail section from a Hobgoblin hood and sanded it down.

Nice! And I like the long ears, it looks like a Kelley Jones Batman!
