Fantastic Four Movie... Reboot?
Twisted Two-Face replied to NorthRaider's topic in The Minimates' Arms
Only issue I have with Johnny is that it forces the unnecessary "Sue is adopted" plot point. Totally out of left field. And Michael Clark Duncan was the PERFECT Kingpin, for the record, just like Idris Elba is a good Heimdall. Movie looks better than it sounds, but a trailer can make any piece of shit shiny and gussied up. I like Miles Teller, I like Kate Mara, I even like Michael B Jordan to an extent. Cast isn't the problem and I get the Ultimate origin. Problem is all of the other changes being made, from Sue and Johnny, to Doom being a hacker. With a somehow worse costume than before. Tone is all wrong too. They're Marvel's First Family. I'm not watching F4 for Nolan-levels of grit. Could be a decent Sci Fi flick, should be a terrible F4 flick. -
I too don't have the game, but I've got Hawkeye and intend to get Ronan. Anything Lee Pace has a place in my home. (Crosses fingers for Halt and Catch Fire Minimates) Love the style of the figures, wish they were articulated. Just don't have time for Toy Box Mode.

It also seems incredible scripted, so I imagine it's not how they actually feel about each other. Pretty sure they rarely actually work with each other when not in front of the camera. I watched the first couple seasons and then it tapered off for me when it wasn't on after Talking Dead. Fun show but definitely not "good tv" by any means. I may pick these up, i like the guys enough. Leagues above Big Bang Theory, that's for sure.

Alien Minimates 35th Anniversary Box Set
Twisted Two-Face replied to MisterPL's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
I was able to wrap it around his hair. It's not pretty and stretches out the "fingers" a bit, but it is possible. -
Ho-lee-sheeeeeit. NA Scarecrow still gives me the willies. I've got the "Making Of" BTAS book, and it mentions that the team "isn't even sure Scarecrow is wearing a mask anymore" when they reflect on this look. Didn't expect him so soon. Amazing; good to see how far out this line is still expected to reach. Ventriloquist winning the poll would be lovely; i missed out on his The Batman figures, but Scareface's TAS look is classic anyway. Shame about Ivy, though. That'd be the perfect Ivy figure. Still, good knowing she's on the short list and she's the immediate second anyway.

First Minimate (If you can remember)
Twisted Two-Face replied to Gmonkey2k's topic in Crisis of Infinite Minimates
Way back when Minimates were sold in Target. Mr. Fantastic and The Human Torch. Think I went back the next day for Iron Man and Doctor Doom. -
Hozier - Hozier Lana del Rey - Ultraviolence Bastille - Bad Blood London Grammar - If You Wait Inside Llewyn Davis Soundtrack This was actually a fairly difficult list to nail down. This isn't even including scores. They're also all pretty damn modern, which I'm sort of surprised by. Bob Dylan should have absolutely made it, but I've realized that I most frequently go to his compilations instead of original releases. Ace Frehley's solo album was pretty close, too.

Really glad I went for the Avengers Widow instead of waiting; I just haven't liked any of her other designs. The red gauntlet-things on this one are odd. Hawkeye is a toss-up; i really love the current Ultimates Hawkeye, but the jacket is really sharp and more superhero-y. Needs a mask though. The only other one i'd consider is Thanos, but the throne is a bit unnecessary. Infinity Gauntlet definitely outweighs "giant stone chair thing." I'd love it if Infinity War Thanos came with Death, not that we know if she's in it.

A2 :Avengers the age of Ultron movie
Twisted Two-Face replied to Mattallica's topic in Marvel Minimates
Well, it at least tells us where the Hydra base is and what the snow scenes are. -
That's gonna end up being my figure of the year. Naturally he comes out during Finals so i'll be waiting a week to pick him and Freeze up, but Harvey looks AMAZING. Hopefully all of the eyes are painted straight; the left eye always seems to be an issue for Harvey. Also, thank God he actually comes with weapons. I can't count how many Harvey's I've bought that don't come with a gun, or aren't even sculpted to hold one.

Didn't even know this existed but for $125 i don't think i can live without it. Colors are a bit muddy but Hot Toys is never going to get the license so this will be the only chance. Makes me want to go back and track down the Asmus Riddler.

TMNT Minimates - it's official!
Twisted Two-Face replied to youbastards's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Yea, my LEGO bags like to be wined-and-dined first. Atmosphere. Try taking them to the Capital Grille. I just want to point out that was my first post in this thread. -
Wow, definitely glad I held off on the Regen Twelfth. That head is ridiculously impressive; that's 100% Capaldi. Gonna be very hard to pass that up.

Mass Effect Minimates
Twisted Two-Face replied to stack32's topic in TV, Movie, & Video Game Minimates
Ill be damned. New Jersey absolutely has them. Just picked up 4 from the Moorestown store; wound up with Shep, FemShep, Tali, and the Illusive Man! I appreciate the tip here about looking for that spare hand in the package, that really helps finding him. He also bares a striking resemblance to Mitt Romney with that hair..... As someone who hasn't played a single minute of Mass Effect, these are really impressive. Love the paintwork on Shep and FemShep; her shoulder pads could be a *bit* better but she's uniform with Shep so i guess that's what's important. Tali is really sharp, I hadn't realized those boots were totally sculpted. Really like the Illusive Man the best though; something very nice about a well-done plain figure. Love that the cigarette hand popped back up somewhere again too! No idea if it's accurate to anything but i gave him Tali's pistol; just works for me. -
Mass Effect Minimates

Looks like all of my local New Jersey stores have them, going by the online checker. I'll call and see what's up. -
Picked up Catwoman at my LCS tonight. She's pretty decent. Every single one had the eye paint slightly off from the mold lines and i did wind up with a duplicate gripping hand but besides that no issues. Her ankles, though smaller than Batman's, actually weren't stuck. They moved nice an freely like most of her other joints, though i took heat to everything just in case. Isis is fully articulated too, which i didn't know going in! Her stand is also different from Batman's; it has an extra set of prongs that allow you to decide how far out the bar goes. It's neat but a bit of an eyesore. Still, decent figure. She was my least anticipated of the wave but i'm happy with her. Bring on Harvey!
