  1. You're absolutely right, karamazov. Very well done. "It's hard to imagine a world without him, isn't it Todd." That's brilliant. And that is so wonderfully stereotype, it really captures the spirit! You all should be up to date by supporting integrity in journalism.
  2. I'm neither into Slipknot nor Slayer or Megadeth, but welcome to the Multimate Miniverse anyway, Iowa!
  3. Speaking of a placeholder, you could always bring out the Gimp.
  4. I also used photoshop to do my decals, Nervous. And, damn, I was think about doing a custom as well!
  5. Helo! You're right Dan, thanks. And thanks for the compliments as well, folks!
  6. Yes, you should check what Adobe offers via your "school". For example, if I do buy the newest Adobe Creative Suite 4 (including CS4 photoshop, flash, illustrator, dreamweaver and many more) as a regular offer in Germany, I'd pay around 450 Euro (580$). If I'm buying it via my University as a student, I'd pay 270 Euro (350$). It's still pretty expensive, so you might look for an older photoshop version, but the education thing BHM suggested might be an option as well.
  7. I'm most likely in the position BHM was starting the thread from: I'm not a fellow citizen of the USA, but one of those participating in these events from far - or not so far - away. Since I'm not used to say phrases like God bless anyone, I do however respectfully congratulate you to your new president! This isn't the place to get political, but I do wish him - and for that all of us - the best of luck.
  8. OK, here's my entry for Luke's Black and White contest: Sin City's Marv He's based on the movie interpretation of Miller's comic, because I wanted to use different shades of gray instead of pure black and white colors. I used The Question's coat and declas for Marv's head and chest. I don't remember to whom the hair originaly belonged. The hairpiece is from BSG's Helo. (Thanks Dan!) The right pic is a little inspired by this lithograph. Oh, and I couldn't resist trying this:
  9. Several Sin City characters were expected for this contest, but until now, there isn't any, so let me be the first. My entry is: Sin City's Rollerskate Miho No, just kidding, NorthRaider. Here is: Sin City's Marv He's based on the movie interpretation of Miller's comic, because I wanted to use different shades of gray instead of pure black and white colors. The custom's based on these images here. (Both pics aren't photoshoped. For the right, more scenic one - a little inspired by this lithograph -, I just dropped some scraps of paper while taking the pic. So I hope I didn't break any rule.)
  10. Your Harvey Dent is brilliant!! The way the half hair piece comes out is very, very well done, Shamrock*! I really do like the make-up of your Joker as well, but his hair could somehow be a little more greasy. ___ * by the way, Shamrock is the name of the Irish Pub around here, I'm going to every monday to the weekly Pub-Quiz.
  11. Happy Birthday!!! Have a nice one.
  12. Thanks a lot, folks and happy Birthday to the two others! That was absolutely correct, man! Vielen Dank TBT!
  13. I'm glad I joined this wonderful board last summer and kudos to the whole staff as well as the very nice, polite, friendly and helpful members I came across. I really do appreciate the worldwideishness of the multiverse. Thanks a lot, it's a very nice place to be.
  14. I guess this is the right place to post this and I bet there are a few well talented folks around here who might be able to help you out with your comissions, but I guess it would be pretty good to post some pics, be precise on what you want, so everybody knows exactly what you're looking for. Just a thought.
  15. Happy Birthday, hope you had a lot of ice cream served in hotdog buns!
  16. Your Winter Soldier is amazing! Love it! And I just checked your Stan Lee, man he's unbelievable! Your pretty talented, Skull Buster! All thumbs up!
  17. I really like it - and he's already for sale -, especially the packaging! The details are very well, but I'm more into your mate-related works. So, when do we see your first custom Minimate Box Set packagings, Luke?
  18. I'm not so into regular DC stuff, so I don't really know what or who a Starro is - I'll google it -, but I like your arrangement very much. Especially the way this Starro thing holds Wonder Woman and Prince Namor, uhm, Aquaman! Nice!
  19. Those two customs are pretty impressive. I really like the idea of creating cap's Arlington statue. Nice idea, Andy! And I do absolutely appreciate your b/w Batman, Shamrock! Well done, man, well done!!! (And by the way, I do LOVE your Red Son Batman custom! Just wanted to mention that. )
  20. On topic: hurm. Off topic: You should better hope that he hasn't accidently landed on a foreign planet, gladiator-fights his way up to the throne room and comes back with a load of strange looking fellows* to declare war on your place! ___ *Yay, more never released Minimates!
