  1. Just heard about this and to be honest it looks quite fun. Just going to copy paste the plot outline from screen rant Guardians revolves around a team of four Soviet Union-era superheroes who were created during the Cold War and represent different nationalities and core traditions of the USSR. The film is a bit of a black sheep when it comes to aping the thematic tradition established by the likes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe, in the States. For better or for worse, Andreasyan’s film is a marvel in its own right, and the production’s first official domestic trailer (see above) is now online. In the footage featured above, distributor turbofilms promises plenty of hyperbolic action sequences to match the likes of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and the DCEU, in addition to certain intimated sequences of governmental diplomacy reminiscent of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the MCU. Despite suffering from some potentially distracting English language voice-over dubbing, Guardians looks to fill the gap when it comes to producing superhero movies created outside of an American national identity. Now the only russian films that jump into my head that I remember and enjoyed are the Nightwatch ones. But I'm more then happy to give this a try.
  2. it could be that so many of the poster where printed and when they run out a new one will be done.
  3. without going back through the thread I think this is it
  4. I have to agree I really enjoyed it. I knew nothing about it except what alot of ppl have been saying about the style an setting. AFfter 2 episodes I was hooked an watched the lot over 3 evenings. If you like ET, Goonies, original Poltergeist then you gotta give this a look see.
  5. The first image for Season 2 of Supergirl is here. So Superman is going to be finally shown in the second series which is kinda cool. To be honest I think I prefer this suit over the BvS suit as its not as grimy an worn looking, also it has a belt. The red whatever it is on the BvS suit bugs me this one you know what it is.
  6. That Iron Giant does look brilliant. Lets see now Alien/Ripley, Pred/Arnie, Iron Giant, NBX, Beetlejuice. Oh my aching Credit Card an I'm going to need to put up a shelf somewhere.
  7. So GOTG 2 in the process of being made an this made me happy. Yondu Got his Mohawk, yay! Looks a bit strange but better then the red scar/lump he had in the first one
  8. I like the animated stuff. For me it is kinda like the first waves of Minimates anyway a very slimmed down style then what we have now. As for Spidey rehashes This is one line I do understand it in because Spidey etc is the kinda anchor for the casual shopper much more then a LCS wave where I would say that that the customer is more collector based. I find that Figures like Spidey etc are easily passed off to others as they are instantly recognised.
  9. An I thought it was just me. No Access, etc I was losds of ARRRRGGGGHHHH
  10. Maybe the bad guy for next season or could be just a few episodes but this looks like the Black Racer. Its cool that the flash dosnt shy away from the comics that spawned it but if the bid bad in this season is yet another speedster I'll be a little bit
  11. So Wally's Flash/Kid Flash costume for nxt season has been revealed. Glad to see they are sticking to comic designs. I would like more of a lightning bolt on the chest as it looks a little S shaped as is. Otherwise very nice
  12. Thats a fantastic picture and really brought a smile to my face. Good job
  13. Zombie Spidey has alot of red compared to the others on the database. But thats alot if messing around for a QC The newer Spidey designs from the last few years in comics did away with the red arm altogether I think at the request of the artists who thought it was a ballachce to draw and having to work out the webbing lines etc depending on which way his arm was. I'm still not 100% on the dark lines on the blue but its a cool suit and I would say the blue is lighter on this one compared to the Avengers version.
  14. Some threads for me have completely vanished (Marvel blind bags is the most obvious that I am missing.) Others seems to have big sections missing (Marvel animated 2.5 threads says 9 pages but I can only see 1 post on page 1. Every other page is just blank.)
  15. I think at the time The DC minimates really made the other licences look again an really up their game. Maybe allowing for more wiggle room on things like Marvel.
  16. Marvel and Netflix’s first project together, Daredevil, was an enormous success. It’s regularly praised by fans and critics as being one of the top live-action comic book shows around, and it surprised many with its especially dark tone – something not many viewers expected to see from the sometimes quip-heavy Marvel Cinematic Universe. Season 2 of Daredevil is currently under production – at the time of writing this – and it’s going to introduce brand new incarnations of two fan-favorite Marvel anti-heroes: Frank Castle, a.k.a. Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung). As Daredevil pulls in more familiar street level faces, the next Marvel/Netflix project, Jessica Jones, will introduce even more Marvel characters: Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Nuke (Wil Traval), and several others. Given the quality of Daredevil’s first season and the praise Jessica Jones’ first episode received at New York Comic-Con 2015, it’s understandable that many fans are left thinking one thing: Who else is Marvel going to bring to Netflix? Moon Knight‘s name keeps popping up, and according to one rumor, his appearance could be on the way. While speaking on , Heroic Hollywood’s Umberto Gonzalez stated that Marc Spector, a.k.a. Moon Knight, may receive the same treatment as Punisher, the violent vigilante who’s making his live-action debut in Daredevil Season 2. According to him, the rumor is that Moon Knight would make an appearance in someone else’s show, and that could lead to receiving his very own show. Gonzalez claimed Moon Knight’s parallels to DC’s Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman, is important: “It’s interesting you bring up Moon Knight because that’s not actually being developed for film. The heroic hot rumor is that Moon Knight is actually being developed for Netflix since he is their version of Bruce Wayne. Like the way they’re backdoor piloting Punisher, making an appearance in Daredevil Season 2, if it works out, boom. Same thing with Moon Knight. Again, he’s their version of Bruce Wayne. It’s one of the staples that they’re developing for their Netflix strategy. I’d rather see the Netflix version of Moon Knight than the cinematic one.” Moon Knight being adapted for Netflix instead of the big screen makes sense because it would be a much better fit for the sometimes brutal character. Netflix allows for more violence and darker content, and those are two things that have been included in a number of Moon Knight’s stories – especially the 2006 comic series, which has the potential to feel like an organic addition to the small screen version of the MCU. Given his origin story and the way he uses multiple personalities (which fluctuates from writer to writer), having the chance to tell his story over several hour-long episodes instead of just an hour and a half or so would also give viewers a better opportunity to connect, properly understand, and even Gonzalez points out there are similarities between Moon Knight and Batman (e.g. they’re both wealthy costumed vigilantes who beat up bad guys via melee combat and throwing weapons), but there are several differences too. Batman’s more skilled, whereas Moon Knight’s more savage. Batman inherited his wealth, Moon Knight earned it through being a mercenary. Batman regularly uses stealth, Moon Knight wants his enemies to see him coming (at least twice he’s stated that’s why he wears white). Their origins are significantly different, as are the reasons they fight criminals and how they conduct their investigations. Batman has a great rogues gallery, Moon Knight has… well, Marvel will have to work on that, because that’s not one of the character’s strengths. That said, using Bushman, a foe connected to Moon Knight’s origin, would make the most sense for a first season. Moon Knight draws parallels to Batman, but he is not Batman. Getting to know the character over the course of several episodes, instead of just one visit to theaters, would give Marvel the chance to prove this (while also continuing to expand their street level roster). Now, if Moon Knight is introduced in a show, that brings up one question: Which show would they use to test his appeal? Moon Knight has some history working with Daredevil, but at this point, it seems like he may be reserved for another project – if he even appears at all, that is. After The Defenders, Netflix and Marvel could use the new vigilantes to create a Marvel Knights series, but obviously, that’s purely speculative at this point. Heres the source http://screenrant.com/marvel-moon-knight-netflix-series/
