while I have faith in Marvel on releasing good product regardless, this is kinda a shock and a bit worrisome i mean that must have been one big creative difference after spending the last 8 years workshopping this film

heres the thing, I just saw the film twice today, loved it more each time, but to be honest, I dont think there was any way they'd have been able to do every character i'd want so id rather just get these sets for cool parts and just not worry about owning movie versions (quicksilver, trask, beast, blink, colossus, kitty pryde, iceman, and future/past sentinels woulda been a good start ) edit: did i mention i do LOVE the mates we are getting and hope we get some cool accessories

OH MY GOD THESE LOOK AMAZING I WANT ALL OF THEM my choices for the set are Thanos, Thane, Ironman and Ronan, I think Ironman and Thanos can carry the set and i think Hulk and Cap are a shoe-in for a two-pack TRU set edit: If I dont get that Ronan eventually, I am gonna be an unhappy camper

to be honest, i dont mind it either way, if it gets the black detailing, yay it fits in with the ANXM, if not, yay it fits in with some classic champions or 90s X-men either way I win any cool accessories other than the ice slide and extra hair for Hank?

Minor spoilers okay so I just saw Godzilla last night initial thoughts: fun enjoyable film, the kaiju element is used as a slow burn, it pays off but it still feels a little slow getting there. the imagery is gorgeous, not quite as fun/thought out as Del Toro but there are some magnificent money shots that look painted the monster Godzilla is. Thats the best part of the film, this is the Godzilla we want to see, the one we know and love from the original films of his namesake, he moves, acts and fights like a real Godzilla should. The Muto’s were actually pretty great monster designs in themself, it very much felt like new-age vs classic which worked for the story and the theme of the film. The people were the most lackluster part, and to be fair, they have to compete with monolithic creatures duking it out, but their story and motivations didnt always make a whole lotta sense, and while Cranston gave a great performance, it was surprisingly short. Ken Watanabe stole the show for me as he felt like a character straight out of the original films in a cheesy but satisfying way overall i’d give it a 7/10, it was a very enjoyable film with some scenes that made me want to give a standing ovation to the king of monsters, but the human element doesnt quite live up to its scaly counterpart

Why would Pulp Fiction Minimates not be at TRU when the chain has offered toys based on Aliens, Predator, The Matrix, Robocop, Reservoir Dogs, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Kick-Ass, and Terminator 2? You'd have to ask TRU. They're taking some Miramax figures, but no Minimates that I know of, aside from one two-pack. which two-pack?

i would assume the reason people dont like the Hood is because hes a piece of *$%#^@ that would be why i dont like the Hood edited: because I was thinking of Purpleman, but the Hood is no better, they're both complete pieces of patriarch shit i still want mates of them though

my wish for the choices is as such: Thanos Ex-Nihlo Captain Marvel Godkiller Ironman Ronan the Accuser Gladiator while Thane was one of the central characters, he was very unimportant to the story and i dont really feel the need for him, there are a few others i think would make more plausible choices (Space Hulk, Manifold, updated Black Bolt, Maximus, Spider Woman, Abyss, Starbrand, Abigail Brand, The Builders, Hyperion, Kl'rt, many more) but usually the TRU fan polls give us 6 options with the remaining 2 ending up as a two pack down the line

okay but the point of Ultimate WAS to change everything about the canon characters and have some fun in the process, and fresh off the heels of Ultimatum, i was personally fine with a change up... also am I the only person who couldnt stand Ultimate Peter?

it really depends on the character and execution, you can say Miles was a gimmick but his comics are completely genuine and not pandering in the slightest so i'd say they just made the decision and said "well if ANYONE can be Spiderman, then lets make someone else Spiderman" Most of the new 52 changes are pandering but hey, all it takes is a good writer to make it work, and more diversity in comics is always a good thing

just saw this last night I thoroughly enjoyed it, to be honest I couldnt understand too much of the criticism based on how fun this film was, it was just a blast to watch and felt not only like a 5 issue arc of a comic come to life but like a superhero opera/musical because the soundtrack was FREAKING INCREDIBLE and one last bit of opinion DANE FREAKING DEHAAN, he killed it, he stole the movie

1. I actually really like Starlords space suit, not that I dont prefer his 2008 costume but i enjoy this one too 2. if something in the films is designed well, why not use it in the comics? its a cool look and Starlord having a consistent costume has never really been a thing, before his 2008 suit he just wore whatever space rags would have him (after his original look i mean) 3. Nick Fury I can say was a little goofy since that version did already exist in Ultimate Comics, but i dont really mind it personally, since i think original Fury will eventually return (hes not dead so...)

Hedorah is my favorite Kaiju....he is way cooler than Rodan in my personal opinion so im glad hes got a chance at getting made screencaps from the panel that Delta filmed (thanks Delta!)
