  1. Now that's what I'm talkin' about.
  2. Random Thoughts: - DST/AA does tend to set the bar increasingly higher. - I'd be up for a Stan Lee 'mate. - Wish that Lizard had been bigger.
  3. I'd be happy with a swappable jaw or an alternate Big Chap with the Narcissus. I expect the Aliens line to be mostly 2-packs with Colonial Marines paired with a variety of Xenomorphs but the original film could be tackled with three 4-packs and a vehicle, as far as I'm concerned. Aliens has a bit more longevity thanks to a bigger cast, costume changes, and army building critters. That's a much greedier list.
  4. Hooray for Lost in Space news! All I need is a couple Alien 4-packs for the original crew: Ash Brett Dallas Ripley (w/ Jones) Parker Lambert Big Chap Alien Kane (w/ chestburster) If I want to get greedy, I'll ask for another set with Dallas, Kane, and Lambert in spacesuits with pods and facehugger accessories. If I want to get stupid greedy, I'll ask for a Narcissus with Ripley in spacesuit.
  5. Dang. I may have to resort to the kindness of The Board to get TRU Marvel Minimates. That would be a first.
  6. Wesley Snipes got out of prison! Here's hoping for that Expendables 3 Minimate.
  7. Any news on either the Lost is Space or Aliens fronts? Will we be seeing prototypes at SDCC?
  8. I don't know that you'd need the entire Baxter Building but a hangar for that would be nice. Good job! Looks like you had fun.
  9. What about Battle-damaged Spidey with other battle-damaged characters like Daredevil, Captain America, and Mr. Fantastic?
  10. This explains the TRU clearance sale on Marvel Minimates. Bad enough I can't find Series 15 at retail but if these sets don't make it for some reason, it'll be very frustrating. Like, "The Walking Dead" frustrating.
  11. Yup, saw the clearance prices but no Series 15. Still. Hopefully the sale will thin the herd and make room for the new assortment.
  12. Probably because they think it's series 14. Still no sign of it in my neck of the woods. Checking again today at lunch. [fingers crossed]
  13. Still curious to see the packaging for the Enterprise vehicles.
  14. I'd rather support DST and the people they employ but the potential is pretty mind-boggling. As a commercial artist, I'd have no problem making figures for my own collection but I'd never sell more than one as original art. I haven't done much research on 3D printing but, as with every other printer on the market, I'm sure the toner is probably what's most expensive. It's certainly tempting and I've given it some thought but there are definitely ethical and legal implications to consider.
  15. I noticed you can't buy that page as a print. At least he's being THAT cautious.
  16. LEGO should just say "Thanks for the guaranteed sell though. We sincerely hope you find offense in many of our other products."
  17. As would my daughters and I. Add The Legend of Korra to that list with some steampunk vehicles and robots and you've got a deal!
  18. Check this out. I guess LEGO can't offer Jabba's Palace sets anymore. Or Jabba himself because he looks like a "terrorist." Or round buildings for that matter. The good news is that in recognizing a movie that came out in 1983, these religious extremists have finally moved into the 20th century, which is a huge leap forward for them.
  19. This is a cruel April Fool's Day prank. It has to be.
  20. April Fool's Day is the WORST day of the year to make announcements like this but here's what I came across over at TNI.com: Diamond Comic Distributors and VIZ Media, LLC have reached an agreement that will distribute Japanese merchandise based on the company’s highly sought after properties in North America for the first time, including products based on the commercially successful and acclaimed titles NARUTO, BLEACH, TIGER & BUNNY, BERSERK, DEATH NOTE, and INUYASHA. Diamond Comic Distributors will carry a broad selection of action figures, toys, and collectibles from licensed VIZ Media titles, previously unavailable outside of Japan due to licensing restrictions. “From the top entertainment districts of Tokyo’s Akihabara to Harajuku and beyond, many great licensed products from the top anime and manga brands will now be available for fans to purchase outside of Japan,” said John Parker, Diamond’s VP - New Business Development. “We are excited by the potential and even more thrilled to introduce some of the best-of-Japan merchandise to North American consumers.” According to the press release, it's more than just Naruto but that seems to be the big dog among the properties listed, at least in the North American mass market. Your mileage may vary. Just to be clear, this doesn't appear to be a license agreement to manufacture new product, just to distribute existing product into North America.
  21. Would anyone be up for an army dump of 16 figures made up of four different chracters? For example: 4x SHIELD Agents 4x Brood 4x AIM Soldiers 4x Kree Soldiers Think of it as a "Best of" army dump, if that's even a good idea.
  22. That's a good example of a TOS Kirk with a subtle but significant difference to previous releases. Very nice.
