Second, though I also like the look of the Mummy. Personally I'd like a nice blend of "realistic", "warrior" and "supernatural" style characters. I'd love to have one of each "warrior class" (Knight, Samurai, Ninja, Pirate etc.), especally ones like the Spartan that were never around when I was a kid.

As if there was any doubt. Resident Evil's Wesker has also been announced. Still crossing my fingers for more obscure returners like Cap Com, Strider and maybe the long overdue debut of Arthur. I've seen a few vidoes of alternative colours, one which seems to show a dark silver/sealth suit like colour for Iron Man, another with yellow in palce of red and blue in place of black on Deadpool (a nod to DC's "version"?) and (surprise surprise) Grey Hulk. However I'm hoping they'll also throw in alternative costumes similar to what we got in SFIV, i.e. a Charlie (old army buddy) costume for Guile and Hagger (Final Fight's wrestler; they're meant to be friendly rivals) costume for Zangief. I'm hoping they'll use this as a way to bring in charatcers like Scarlet, 2099, War Machine and Lilith (Morrigan's sister).

Is there an official "I live out side of the US and need help getting the latest TRU" thread anywhere? If not maybe we should look at making one? Otherwise I'm sure requests like that could get lost in threads like this.

I agree it was a bit "Britain = Magic and tea drinkers" but I've always been fond of the mystical side of Marvel, so I enjoyed the concepts. Captain Midlands came from the Wisdom mini series that was released a few years before hand (good read IMO) and I just liked seeing all the British Marvel heroes in one book, especally Black Knight and Cap Britain. Granted I think Blade was pushing it a little. Problem is I was really fond of all the developments that had come from JMS' run. Mystical origins for Spidey? Alright I like mystical stuff so I'm curious. New powers? Bar the stingers I'm on board for that. Part of why I'm such a fan of 2099 is due to the different powers he has, so I'm happy to see Peter with some new ones. People like the Fantastic Four learning Peter is Spidey? Love it! This idea adds a new angle to their friendship, as well as any relationship between Peter and other heroes who know the man under the mask. Public unmasking? Okay maybe a bit far but I'm curious to see where it goes. I wouldn't mind BND if it wasn't a) "It's magic; I don't have to explain ANYTHNG!" to get it and b ) removed everything I liked. While I'm still a little sore Hal replaced "My Lantern", aka Kyle, at least Kyle hasn't been retconned out of existance (yet). And I agree, I feel the classic angle is forced TOO much; not everyone who reads Spidey grew up with the "classic" Silver Age stuff and therefore may not care for it as much as say the Bronze/Dark Age. I've not read anything bar the back ups in Herc but I have been keen to give it a try.

I'm glad someone said this... and a Brit no less. Captain Britain and M13 was great fun, real shame it stopped after Vampire State What do you think drew me to the series in the first place . I'm quite fond of British superheroes and really wish I knew of more from DC (bar Knight and Squire. I have no interest in Batman so I couldn't care less for British versions of him and Robin). Heck part of the reason I back Mon-El is because he's kinda, sorta, to a degree, if-you-squint-hard-enough British (apparently his voice sounds different from the rest and if he says "I'm British" people would say "Ahh yes, that is a British accent"). They didn't really cancel Herc so much as move it into consecutive miniseries (Fall of an Avenger, Prince of Power and upcoming Chaos War) -- you should check them out if you haven't, Prince of Power was great! In my eyes, unless a new Herc series comes out of Chaos War, then one of my favourite comics has been cancelled. The spin offs were great, especally Prince of Power (which did a great job of exploring both Cho and Thor's relationship with Herc) and I'm looking forward to Chaos War, especally the Ares mini series (I hated the fact my favourite Dark Avenger was killed by my second favourite, only for him to die two issues later while annoying people like Wolverine and Daken got away scott free). All is forgiven if we get Incredible Herc back but I have this horrible feeling in my gut that we won't

I know DC is just as bad, but frankly ever since Marvel cancelled some of their best books (Captain Britain and Incredible Hercules; WHY CANCEL HERC?! Every page OOOZED of win and awesome and extra win!) they've slowly been dying in my eyes. Add to the fact my favourite hero growing up had been going on an interesting route (new powers, new friends, public unmasking) only to undo that with a deal with the devil that also booted out his marrage as well as send him back to the 70's. News flash - I never cared for 1970's Spidey. I grew up reading the Bronze/Dark age and while it may have been home to some of the crap stories (i.e. Clone Saga), they're the ones I cherish MORE than the Silver age stuff. If Marvel decides to cancel the cosmic and remaining mythological side (i.e. Thor) I think I might just cancel all my remaining standing orders :/ I know DC is just as bad but so far I find myself really enjoying Booster Gold, Green Lantern, The Flash and Superman.

I remember when I unlocked him in the Spider-Man game and wondered who the heck he was. I will admit, I always like Spidey variants that have the blue and black Fantastic Four look, both from the what if a few years back and the SDCC reveals for later this year. Perhaps DST will find a way to include it in a wave...?

To their credit, I do believe DST has said they'll NEVER do "Scuba Spidey" and always look to the comics for variants. Heck, I wouldn't mind seeing Battle Damaged/Unmasked versions of ANYONE that isn't the Classic Costume, especally if slip on masks are a thing of the past (I want Ben Reilly and Miguel O'Hara holding up their masks like I have Classic, Iron, BiB and Cosmic in my collection!). I'm just BORED of classic and it's turning me off it in the comics. I also agree with Rheul; that would make a great minimate, perhaps even a chase. I believe it was recently brought back in the final issue of the Kraven arc.

I always dislike it when people write off the Scarlet costume :/ In my humble opinion I think its better than the main costume. Then again I first saw Scarlet when I was a young lad and DST's desire to re-release the classic costume again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again kinda puts me off. Heck, I'm surprised we've not had the "Spider-man with a slight rip down his left sleeve but otherwise identical tp the 500 other Classic Spider-Man minimates you have in your collection" variant yet. Having said that I wouldn't mind Negative Zone or Spider Phoenix becuase they at least look a bit DIFFERENT!

I've been toying with doing a few comic blogs/columns for my own sanity, if nothing else (once I get an idea in my head, they bounce around like a springy ball trapped in a cube) so I'm certainly interested in having a shot.

I might consider it if they did something OTHER than Batman for once... How about a Superman set with Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, Mon-El, Armoured Luthor and Brainiac. Or how about a Blackest Night set with Hal, Sinestro, Carol, Saint Walker, Larfleeze and Atrocitus (if we keep in the 6 pack).

I got the PS2 port of MvC2, but I so wish I got it for the Dreamcast; that and SFIII 3rd Strike. As for a female marvel character, suposedly Storm has been all but officially confirmed. I don't mind but after Marvel put work into making Ms Marvel and Spider-Woman more well known I'd rather see them as the main female Marvel characters. Speaking of female characters, some fans believe C.Viper from SFIV is going to appear, making me wonder if they'll mimic Tatsunoko VS Capcom's "one from SF (Ryu), one from SFII (Chun-Li) and one from SFIII (Alex)". If so, I'd love for them to bring in Gill fro SFIII. His base power level would work well against the Marvel guys

I have a scratch or two going through one of Classic Peter's eyebrows, which is a tad annoying. Plus I prefer to display them unmasked...

I loved the original Viewtiful Joe but felt the character was a bit weak in TvsC. However looking at the video, it does look like they've tweaked him a little so maybe he'll work in the long run. Dormammu looks pretty cool, and is it me or did he have a special opening conversation with Dante? And thinking about it, why not throw in Darkstalker's Jedah (Dark Messiah crossed with the Grim Reaper) as a rival for him (though I've wanted to see him fight Dante ever since I saw his Capcom Fighting Evolution ending). Um... Considering as how Spidey has been in every Marvel vs SF/Capcom game to day (not counting X-Men vs SF) and how much of a cash cow the character is, I think it's safe to say he'll be in there sooner or later. I think it would be more surprising if they DON'T announce him. Besides, I'd rather find out who else is in the game and which "non-safe" Marvel returners (i.e. Gambit, Psylocke and other obscure characters who featured in MvC1 and 2) are going to be in this game. And if Spidey is in this game, I want Scarlet as an alternative costume now Capcom! They have stated they're not using the Fantastic Four because Super Skrull is all four characters in one. And when you think about it, the ability to combine Mr Fantastic's stretching with the Things strength opens up more move possibilities than having either on on their own. SECOND! The awesomness that is Strider, Captain Commando and Hayato need to be in minimate form!

I never really read AOA. I was more a Spidey fan as a kid (and actually got into comics reading the Clone Saga), and while I tried reading the AOA graphic novels I never really made it past the first few issues. However design wise I do love how these guys look and if I can find them cheap enough, I think I might get them. I certainly won't rush into it though as I'm not sure if I have the money and space at this moment in time.

Why are we getting Wolverine when we already got him? I'm not familiar with X-Force but what about the other guy who was shown at SDCC? Why aren't we getting him instead of generic Wolverine update? I like how Angel, Deadpool and Psylocke look in this boxset, so I am tempted to get it for them. However if Wolverine is included then I don't want an identical version of a variant. And I'm not interested in X-Force so unless it's an obscure but interesting character like Elixir I'm not sure I'd be interested. I might see if I can pick up the three I'd like loose rather than getting the entire box.

I agree it works well. Granted the head is a little lighter than the blue on the Sentry (the waist I used was a bit darker so it fitted in better) but it's a minor thing. I prerr Superman to Batman so I'd have liked it if we saw more of his allies and rogues. Both Mon-El and Superboy were ones I wished were made and I hope to eventually make as customs. I am actually going to make the "Inverted Superman" costume for Mon-El, but I've toyed with putting the classic look on the otherside of the chest piece so it can be flipped around. WHOOPS! That ahs been fixed. Thanks for pointing it out

I've been working on a couple of wips and quick customs recently. First Apperance Sentry: I pretty much followed MsMarvel fan's recipe, with one minor change - I used a random waist from my parts box instead of the one from Captain Mar-vell. Colour wise I felt it fitted in better and also... Unmasked Mar-vell: I pretty much a head swap between him and DR Sentry, I felt the new face really worked and was hesitant to give the waist over. It's simpel simple but I think it works well. The glowy hands come from the Beyonder minimate, whom I got loose but to be honest regretted it a little. Current Booster Gold (wip): I'm loving the current run on Booster Gold and after looking at a duplicate in my collection I realised I could make a quick custom. The arms come from Spymaster, the hands from Blue Beetle and the head from Wave 20 Hawkeye. I'm likely to paint the arms and hands to match the yellow and blue on the original minimate and maybe print off a decal so I can get the blue that goes around his neckline. Mon-El (wip): I really liked the costume Mon-El wore during the New Krypton storyline and like with Booster, after rummaging in my parts box I realised I had the necessary parts to make a custom. This is going to be a lot of work, but the pay off will be worth it. Finding the right shade of blue and red has been a pain, as different artists seemed to depict it with different shades. Heck, I made my avatar using the shades from a picture of the Mon-El shirt, only to get it and noticed the blue and red were both a little bit lighter. Naturally the chest will need a decal, and I need to re-paint the blue on some parts (it's the first time I've ever painted a minimate and I didn't leave the cape to try properly, resulting in me having to rip off some of the paint to detatch it from the board I left it on to dry. Orange Lantern Lex Luthor (wip): I like the Orange Lanterns and after obtaining a duplicate Lex Luthor, realised I could turn him into his Orange Lantern self. Granted I'm not sure what to do about the OL emblem on the armour. I've thought about just painting over it or using some Apoxie/Fixit/Super Sculpt to cover up the emblems that are already on there then maybe make the OL logo with more Sculpt and putting it on top. The body is from a dupe Sabertooth as he's orange so I thought it would help get the ball rolling. White Lantern Deadman/Boston Brand (wip): Like a number of other people, I took one look at bobafett's quick custom and realised I needed to make my own. I used a Multiple Man jacket instead of Kyle Reese (and now have a Multiple Man with Kyle's jacket) but I felt his hair looked more black than brown, so I took a spare Extremis Iron Man hair piece. I also obtained a dupe Sinestro (going to look at turning him into White Lantern Sinestro further down the road) and will paint his battery white, as well as adding a white blob on one of the hands (some issues show it as being on the left, others as being on the right). Any critasism/general advice/suggestions are appreciated. I hope to submit some updates on them at some point in the future

I certainly think it's a great idea and while I can see where dr baghead is coming from, I'd be happy to buy them from you. Out of interest, would they be removable? I'm wondering if I'd want to put the mask back on (in the case of Hydra Soldier), if I trade/give/sell them to someone who might not want it on etc.

Gladiator would be opening a whole new can of worms. I'd rather see them finish off The Inhumans before getting into The Shi'ar Imperial Guard. I'd rather see Quasar, classic or current and/or the Guardians of the Galaxy if we're going down the cosmic road.

I've been burned by that a few times myself. Anything over $30 gets an extra charge from customs and the post office handing it. Fortunatly I've never had that problem when ordering from Luke (big thanks ) but I've won some eBay auctions/battls and had to shell out even more... I'm not sure how I feel about the price increase. If they keep up the number of accessories, that's fine, but if they want that much for something like Molecule Man/Spider Woman #2 (which had no accessories) then that seems a bit much for something simple... :/

And Spidey is just jealous GL released a FAR better story line in 07 (Sinestro Corp vs One More Day; the latter making me lose interest in Spidey while the former helping to solidify my interest in GL ). Out of interest, what inspires you to make these comics?
