I know they have a 2.5" line coming this summer from Playmates (kind of Imaginext size and style).. maybe there are concerns with too much sculpting coming from that license.. ?

April with her deadly fan is perfect. Turtles are exactly as I imagined with the heads being the only exception.. not what I imagined but I really like them! I hope these do extremely well and we get many waves of Turtle goodness! Luke, the box set exclusive couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I will get at least one of these sets and I will spread the word to every minimate collector and/or Spidey fan I know. I am really happy to see a new Carnage!! (or as my 3-year old son just yelled, "RED BENOM!!" So much great minimate news this week! Best thing I have ever collected, hands down. I think this community adds a lot to the experience as I feel like I am part of the Minimate world.. not just a purchaser. -Chad (in Salt Lake City)

Really hoped to see pictures by this months end.... There are some here that have seen them, right? What kind of detail are we talking? Are the heads sculpted or minimate standard?

Casey Jones appears in the Nic cartoon quite a bit as well as Dog Pound and Xever so i think there are quite a few ways they could go with this... Plus lots of random mutants. Even if they stick with the current cartoon they could do several waves if successful... (season 2 finale even shows a clip of the classic show so who knows..).

I am fine with the Rocket. I'd say my only critisism of the wave is that the colors seem very muted. I know movie waves are generally toned down to better reflect the "reality" of the film, but the film looks much more colorful than the product IMHO. The blue Amy Pond mate actually looks like the best of the bunch to me if for no other fact than the detail and crisp color used... Hoping these are protos and Groot & Star Lord end up a bit richer.. Either way, i'll collect 'em all and im very glad we are getting a movie wave for this flick.

So.. I went and watched the first season and a half of the new TMNT animated series so I could be better versed on what may be coming in the minimates line.. I have to say, I really enjoy the show. I've read mostly the more modern comics and a little of the classic books and I remember a few years of the original animated show.. and I gotta say, I enjoy the current stuff as much as anything. The last episode I watched even had the turtles looking through a dimensional portal at a clip of themselves from the 1987 cartoon. It was hilarious. Even more excited about the minimates now!

So am I alone in saying I'd love a wave or two based on the '87 cartoon? (I know it is not necesarily in the license and/or plans right now) I know it is not 'true' to the comic source or whatever but that was what my little brother loved and the toyline he collected back in the day so I would jump at them for the nostalgia.. Same deal with the Ghostbusters minimate waves.. the GB moviemates were the real deal for me, but I loved that they made the cartoon versions too. As far as the black and white question.. not only do I want color.. I'm one of those simpletons that wants the red, orange, blue and purple headbands to help my simple brain easily tell the difference between Raf and the rest. Yep, I'm that guy.

I can not wait to see a picture of these.. I keep checking back here in vain.. Zach, I know it may not be possible to say given various factors but I would love to hear a general idea of when pics will be available.. like are we talking weeks or months before a possible reveal?

All jokes aside.. looks like there are new TMNT minifigs.. look like the size of the Imaginext/Heroes lines.

Can't wait to see pics of those TMNT and Star Wars minimates!!
