  1. I think we were looking into it at one point. Not sure it's still under discussion. I saw this on the Jan.23 Q&A: Chuck, I really like the clear stands that you have been including in the Capcom vs. Marvel 3 two-packs and was wondering if DST had any plans on selling these stands individually? Perhaps in bags of 5, 10 or 20. It seems like most collectors have to resort to either using Lego base plates or Display Putty in order to keep their collections from falling down. These stands are a welcome solution to this problem. Thanks for you time. Jason DSTChuck: We’ve talked about maybe selling stand at shows or on the web store but never got past the chat stage. Glad you like the bases – we were so happy to be able to do them!
  2. Just read Fear Itself. Ok story and fun costume changes.. AND FALCON is seen briefly.. so... you're saying there's a chance!?!? I do hope Juggernaut gets the mini treatment.. I like the heroes.. I'll buy at least one box set.
  3. Welcome to the board Bsore! Don't worry, it's not too addicting. All lying aside, you have a great group of collectors here so enjoy.
  4. DITTO DITTO DITTO! I loved M.A.S.K... like a combo of my two other childhood toys.. Transformers and GI Joe. If Minimates somehow starting making MASK figures and vehicles (or even just figures).. I would buy CASES!
  5. Thanks for all of the updates Zach. The photos look great Jeff! We had a short period of time here in the office where we would "Hoff" people's desks on their Birthday or for no reason at all. We printed out dozens of David Hasselhoff pictures and wallpapered their work area.. needless to say there were some pretty sweet Knight Rider photos mixed in. All I kept thinking about is the minimate vehicle!.. (and why would Hoff post with pug puppies in his lap?... don't google it unless you want to be sick) -V
  6. Thanks for the heads up Gambit. I've been checking the Sandy TRU on my lunch breaks for a few weeks now with now luck. I'll give it another shot today. Can you tell me how plentiful the supply was in Orem? I may have to make the trip down there.
  7. Amen x 2. I would have loved a Talbain.. Blanka too. I loved those old proto pictures.
  8. I know there are not a ton of Iceman fans out there.. but I am one. I have loved all the variations.. and I agree with montrossx and others that this set has the best version so far. I would like to see him with spikey shoulder and spikey hair from his ice spike days.. maybe a swap-out spiked fist. Also, nice pic of Spidey and his Amazing Friends.
  9. I can't wait for MODOK.. but looking at that Ryu my first thought is always Rocky. For some reason Ryu's face or face/hair combo looks too much like Rocky for me. Huge SF fan so I'm loving all the Capcom updates.. but a little sad about the Ryu.
  10. I just got back from the Sugar House TRU in Utah. They have about 9 box sets of the SDCC MvC3 minis there if anyone is still looking. -V
  11. My boy got a couple squinkie twopacks in his stocking at Christmas.. They were blind and random.. and included Kang. He loves them more than I thought he would so I can't bare to take away Kang to mail to DST.. but I did think about it.
  12. I have several of this figure (need lots of Hal Jordan's for variations) and I don't have any wonky eyes. I think they got a little more creative with DC in later waves.. poor sapphire had to be in wave one. <sigh> now writing about this makes me wish DC Minimates were on wave 44 like Marvel.
  13. Nice. I see the super pursuit mode and the KARR version.. but when do we get regular KITT and Michael Knight?.. out of the 3 versions, the classic version has got to be the one most are wanting first... am I missing something?
  14. Sounds like there is an announcement in the advertising inside the new DC Lego sets that says LEGO BATMAN 2: DC Superheroes is official and coming out in 2012 (most likely near the relase of the new Batman movie). I CAN NOT WAIT for this game!.. As far as the building sets go.. I am tempted to get the Lex Luthor robot with Wonder Woman and Superman.. but I may wait to see some GL and Flash sets first. I like how many minifigs they are putting in these sets.. even the smaller sets. Kreons could learn from this.
  15. Tough call.. Falcon for me, followed closely by Kang and Sasquatch.
  16. Definitely a good stash!! I had no idea the SDCC set was also being sold in stores, thought it was just an Online offer. I'll have to go check my local and see what they are offering up! This was the only TRU out of 5 in my area that has them. Quite a surprise. Good luck!
  17. I drove about an hour south to visit relatives yesterday and stopped in to the local TRU in the Orem/Provo area of Utah and found a pretty sweet cash of minimates. They had the SDCC exclusive box set of MvC3 which really made my day. I grabbed that and a Nemesis/Morph two pack that I missed out on earlier this year (SLC locations where stripped clean). Of course the holiday chaos was in full swing.. but we got in and out in about 20 minutes (picked up some squinkies (sp?) for my boy and his cousins). Anyway, I love getting surprised like that.
  18. I have to be the dork that says, I'm Just Glad Marvel Minimates Are Still Going! Gi/Ant men look great, I'm a geek for Iron Man so I'll pick up him and Jersey Hulk. If more Avengers are on their way, does that mean we may see Falcon (Sam "Oh Snap!" Wilson)? I would think he is more recognizable to the little ones now that he is on Super Hero Squad. Make it so Zach! I do have to echo the sentiment that TRU seems to be getting the real awesome and unique minis of the last 1-2 years. As tough as it is finding them, I am grateful to TRU for coming back to the Minimate party. Hulk Buster Ironman rules all. With a growing family and the economy the way it's been.. Minimates are the only thing I really collect. It amazes me that they have given us 44 waves of such a great product.
  19. For any in Utah still looking for this, I found 8 of them at the State Street TRU. A couple of the boxes are crunched but they are in stock.
  20. I've ventured into the madness that is TRU in December a few times over the last 2 weeks and there is nothing new.. No boxset or new wave in Salt Lake City so far.
  21. Can I ask a favor of you that have found these in stores to list the city/state where you saw them? Thanks!!
  22. I'd like to add my opinion on the greatest bare-bones minimate.. no mask, hair, cape or additional pieces goes to the first Black Spiderman costume. That was my first hard to find mini when I started collecting and I loved the simple design.
  23. Bucky died again? I should probably read more comics.
  24. oh no.. does this mean Kang is going to start pooping on police cars?
