Super happy with the character selections in this wave. I was needing to pick up a new Phoenix anyway because the gold started rubbing off my old ones. Plus I think that Corsair will work out really nice as White Goodman.

I think if you're a completist then it can really be, but I think DST does a really good job revisiting hard to find, most wanted, or popular characters more than other toy companies.

Meh, don't know and past the point of caring which is a shame.

I don't think most kids play with toys these days but not by any fault of their own. I believe its because they don't have the same environment and up-bringing we did. I don't know if it's parents being too busy or wanting their kids to be independent but I think some of it is peer pressure and society making kids think they have to "grow up" too fast.

@DSTzach The refund was for this wave. I went in to talk to the shop owner today about it. I got the refund because one of the employees noticed them on the cancellation list and processed it. They added them back to my pull list but wasn't happy with my conversation today and will probably only be buying my minimates from Luke in the future.

@DSTZach and everyone. Sorry if my initial question and post about this caused any unwanted drama. When I posted this, asking, I honestly just wanted it confirmed if it was cancelled or not because I felt it had to be a mistake but wasn't sure. My local comic shop (only orders them if I purchase a case and pay in advance) refunded me for a cancelled item without telling me what it was or why. So I checked the cancellations because I was curious what got cancelled. It wasn't to complain about how Diamond Select does business or minimates or the characters in the wave. Minimates are the only toyline that I collect religiously. I'm generally always pleased with what's planned and offered. I order several multiples because I like having back-ups. I have this set on order from Luke and my LCS. I try to support this product as best I can because I'd like to see more minimates making their way out to the world. I'm actually looking forward to series 79 more than I was series 78, but again, sorry. I didn't mean to stir anything up.

It is the cancellation list from Previews site. Everything listed is supposedly cancelled. It list Marvel Minimates Series 79 asst. the number 4 that follows indicates it was cancelled by the publisher. They have numbers assigned to indicate reason for cancellation. but with DSTZach saying there are things on the list that aren't cancelled fingers crossed it is a mistake.

Thanks for looking in on this @DSTZach . Hopefully it is a mistake because I'm running out of things to get my plastic fix and I need that Darkhawk and Cosmic Ghost Rider.

I was only surprised because I got a refund from my LCS to my debit that just said "Diamond Select pre-order" and thought it was the John Wick set.

Eesh! She is a hard one to get. I've seen hers go anywhere from $500 to $3000, but I don't blame you for wanting it.

I collect pro-wrestling, comicbook art and some punk band autographs and usually if I buy one of someone no longer living I find it's best if there's a photo of that person signing the item but even then I do know celebrities that have had the same photo used over and over for fake items so it's always a risk that you get a fake. COA's seem to only be good for things that are known to have been signed a set number of times for a company or event. I find that the only sure fire way not to get a fake is to have them sign things in person or if possible see if that person(s) has their own store or ebay listings for signed items.

I honestly don't collect Vinimates. I only buy a few odd ones here and there of the characters I really like. I ordered the Bruce Lee Vinimates and minimates, because minimates are the main toy-line that I collect religiously. When they were first listed I tried to get friends to order them and most told me they wouldn't order them because they weren't a line dedicated to a specific movie. There was no prospect of Mister Han or Mantis sometime down the line so they wouldn't invest. Maybe if they were set with Bruce and someone from whatever movie his figure is based off Vinimates and Minimates would sell or at least get the attention of casual collectors and retailers. I don't know. These cancellations just make me both sad and really wish that Diamond Select would look into doing a Kickstarter or something so the people that really want these characters would have a chance to get them and not always look at the lines with doom and gloom.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. The bike was released in their WWE block sets. You can still find it on ebay relatively cheap. Fits Minimates well.

I would love to see them do more vehicles even if they were just stands or displays. I would like to think they haven't been able to do a motorcycle because Playskool has motorcycles for the Marvel Superhero Adventures 2.5"/3" line, but there could be hundred of reasons why they don't. Probably something to do with cost and demands, but it's hard telling with Diamond Select. I use the Undertakers bike that came in the C3 line but will likely pick up the Playskool Wolverine Racer to take it's place when I find it in the store because I don't see Minimates getting vehicles anytime soon.
