Still no signs of IW2 or the last animated wave anywhere near me. I even went a bit out of my normal search range and still nothing. I'm starting to think it might be better for me if Walgreens doesn't pick up any of the comic waves that TRU's demise has left open for a new home. They were only speculated as a possible replacement but as someone stated previously, they aren't a toy store. Their distribution, which once seemed like it was getting on track, is spotty at best. Still searching...

I went to a few TRU today since the end of days is near. Last time I visited the sales were at 20 or 30% and there was still decent stock. Big change from then to now! All stores had over half the floor space roped off and everything was piled on the remaining shelves near the front. Mainly went to have a last look at the locations I've haunted for so many years buying Marvel Legends and Minimates. Tomorrow I'll visit the one I've gone to since I was little, it used to be a Children's Palace back then. I feel old. Didn't see many minimates other than Dark Tower and a couple Ragnarok packs. Would have grabbed 3 or 4 NBX vampire packs but there were none to be found. I did pick up a deluxe wood chess set I've had my eye on for awhile. I was surprised there was still one left as most had disappeared right at the start of the sales. I also picked up that big Funko Lockjaw plush that's been sitting there... I don't know why. I made eye contact with it and the damn think was just staring at me with the sadest "don't leave me here" eyes in the world, lol. So I bought him. Next time friends tell me I need a dog I'll point to him. My only regret is that I never visited the flagship store in Times Square before it closed a few years ago. I'll bet it was something to see. Sunday will be my last trip to a Toys R Us store but I'll always be a Toys R Us kid. Thanks for the memories.

I'd like to see something classic, hero or villain. Attuma would be nice. Jack of Hearts would be cool too.

I haven't seen any signs of IW2 or the last animated wave and I've covered a pretty large area. Kind of regret buying the other Black Order members if I can't even get a shot at the last one.

Nothing in Western PA yet from IW2 or the latest animated wave. I was getting new releases around here from the Hyperion wave until the Black Panther wave. Since then it’s been barren. Another collector in the next county over has been reporting the same thing. I hope these show up at some point, as others have pointed out, online prices are crazy for Walgreens packs.

Yep, I haven’t seen anything at any of the stores I frequent. The sale (which I missed) cleared out some space but there are still a few packs at each location. I really hope we aren’t going back to the old distribution method where seemingly random stores receive new waves. I only want the Wasp pack but haven’t seen it yet.

That’s... a pretty great idea. Even the face works. That’s the pack I’ll be grabbing from this wave. I really like the Executioner head tampo and the axe. Sold.

Yeah, the familiar faces and the conversations will be missed. That’s all part of what made the shopping fun. I shake my head when I read reports about how soulless the stores had become. I wish the writer could accompany me on a “quick stop” that involves conversations with 3-4 different people and lasts an hour. Heck, I made a new friend at an out of the way store just last month. I’ve always found TRU to be a friendly environment and I’ll miss that.

I’m still in shock over this situation and how quickly it spiraled downward. I never would have believed TRU would close for good in my lifetime. I’ve still got a healthy denial going and keep hoping something happens to change all of this. It’s not looking good though.

Same here, even if it’s just to look around like Jeff mentioned above. Absolutely terrible news. And they’re saying it could happen as early as next week?! ?

Geez, the hits keep on coming. ? Like BHM I’m hoping distribution improves at the stores that survive. Also, REALLY hoping TRU 26 gets out there as that Madame Masque is fantastic.

I lost 3 stores in the initial announcement, I really hope they don’t take any more from my area. My 2 closest stores survived the first round but neither has carried the last two marvel releases (24 and 25). They did receive the movie mates but I’d much rather have the comic waves. Between the local comic shops no longer carrying minimates and now the TRU closings it’s really becoming a struggle to acquire the figures I’m after at a reasonable cost. I hope the situation improves somehow.

I also disagree. I think the problem is trying to shoehorn available army builders into selective groupings/polls. In that respect, sometimes it’s slim pickings. But overall there’s still quite a few classic army builders I’d like to see. Lava Men Mindless Ones Alpha Primitives Dire Wraiths Sons of the Serpent Warwolves The Badoon original Secret Empire Those are just personal favorites off the top of my head. I’ve never cared about army building the Sh’iar but there’s another choice. As for rehashes, put me down for straight reissues of AIM soldiers and Kree soldiers. I would love to have more of those guys and think they were done perfectly the first time around.

I went with Mesmero and Multiple Man. I forgot how crazy cool the Sidri looked, that was a tough choice between them and MM.

I found remnants of this wave while traveling this weekend and grabbed a few pks for myself and two other local Multiversers but the Collector pack still eludes us. If anyone has extras of the Collector pk for cost + shipping I'd love to buy from you. Also, Carrion is awesome and looks great with the Spider villains. Nice job to DST on the selection of the character and the execution.

My purchasing-sense is tingling. Hmmn, that sounds promising, i'm guessing Masters of Evil. All of the clues sound pretty interesting, I'm definitely looking forward to the final reveals for both waves.

Where will the regular Donald be sold? Anyone else thinking with repainted eyes and a Fozzie hat that would be a perfect classic Howard head?

Perfect. ? Though if the search keeps going like it has been we'll be more like the Three Amigos. I hope one day we have a plethora of wave 24.
