  1. I have my Enterprise on display and the decals are the same as those pictured already. I am disappointed in the way the captain's chair looks. I like the one I made out of Legos much better. However, my Kirk has a clean shirt so he must have not had the barbeque. I have posted a few customs of First Contact Data, Dr. Crusher and LaForge on my custom thread if you wanted to take a look.
  2. I have a few customs that I made thanks in part to Luke. He sent me some decals and I went to work to make customs. Data, Crusher and LaForge from First Contact and Battle-Ravaged Khan from TWOK. Battle-Ravaged Khan from the Wrath of Khan I now have Riker, Picard, Dr. Crusher, LaForge and Data from First Contact along with the QC's of Picard in the captain's vest in his tux from the holodeck. I am hoping to one day make either Tuvok or Harry Kim from Voyager and I have an idea for making a Worf minmate but I will have to wait to work on it as I am booked all next week and my free time will be spent on the road.
  3. I used Lady Sif's head (from the set that has Beta Ray Bill in it. Her hair is Frodo's from the Lord of the Rings).
  4. Enterprise Customs to go with Archer: Ensign Travis Mayweather, Lt. Malcolm Reed, Cmdr. Charles "Trip" Tucker, T'Pol, and Ensign Hoshi Sato. Basic customs: merely head and hand swap for Mayweather. Reed, Trip and Hoshi are also all head swaps. T'Pol is a head swap on the Xmen First Class's Emma Frost's body. Mayweather's face is from either Miles Dyson or the guy from 24 and the hair is from the other. Trip's face is Ben Grimm's face and someone else's hair. Reed's face is a spare face I had and I think a BSG hairpeice. Sato is a Mirage face and a Gwen Stacy hairpeice painted black. T'Pol is a Sif face and a Frodo hairpeice. Of course I have painted the yellow detail on Trip and Reed's uniforms red and on Hoshi Sato's I painted it a teal-blue.
  5. I cut a Cyclops visor off of a Cyclops hairpeice, painted it gold and glued it to an extra Commander Sisko head for my LaForge. I also have made a custom crew for Enterprise, minus Phlox. I am not 100% happy with my Lt. Malcolm Reed, but I am happy with the rest of the crew. I hope to see the second wave around Christmas if possible, that would be a blessing to get a new wave of Trek mates released for the holidays. I also really hope Worf, Gowron, Martok, and a TNG or TOS Romulan would be in that second wave.
  6. I am happy you are enjoying the 3D printer. I am wondering if you will attempt to make minimate parts now that you could resculpt to fit the need like say a minimate head with a ridged forehead (as in a Klingon named Worf or Gowron or such)? I am sure you will now be making accessories for minimates to sell, and I for one would like to get a set of minimate wine glasses and a set of minimate beer mugs. Thank you for sharing your first creations and the news of your new toy. Have a great day.
  7. I just got the LCS Merk&Spider and my spider's extra set of arms that come unattached are both the exact same arm so it looks weird with one pointing up and the other pointing down. Has this been posted and I missed it?
  8. I would love a M*A*S*H set. That was my favorite non-Trek tv show and I still watch it whenever I find it on tv in reruns. If I could get enough parts that looked like the green fatigues they wore, I would try to customize the main characters, but I just don't have the funds to aquire the right parts. I like the idea of a "Swamp" 4-pack:Hawkeye, Trapper John, Frank Burns and Hot Lips would be a cool pack. Could include eiter parts for them to all be in dress uniforms or surgery as accessories in the set. Then you could have a 4-pack of Winchester, Hunnicutt, Radar and Father Mulchay and could include similar accessories for Honeycutt and Winchester (dress uniforms or surgery), and then Radar could have his teddy bear and comic books and Mulchay could have a Bible and a secondary set of parts with him in a Hawai'ian Shirt and straw hat. Then you could have Potter, Blake, Sidney Freedman & Rizzo in a set. A Nurses Set could be: Lt. Dish, Nurse Kelle, another nurse and then Klinger in a nurse's outfit (with extra parts to have him be able to be in Army Green) Then you would have everyone. Could then have several chaser two-packs: Hunnicutt and Hawkeye in Hawai'ian shirts, Blake in his University of Illinois sweater & Trapper in his bath robe. Then there could be Hot Lips in her wedding gown and LTC Donald Penobscot in dress uniform. And there are several other variant combination that could be used but in the two-packs you could include parts to make a Jeep to represent the Jeep that Radar shipped back to Iowa in the beginning of the series.
  9. This image makes me think of a Breen Soldier about to attack Captain Picard. Is the armored mate in this picture a Halo Minimate?
  10. I got my e-mail from Luke that he has shipped out my LCS custom case I ordered from him. I can't wait to get it. I don't have any LCS in the area that are willing to get involved with Minimates after they cancelled the DC line.
  11. I had already found all the Star Trek minimates that TRU had over the weekend. I figured I would never see them at my local TRU, but I was shocked when I called my local TRU today and they had them. I am not sure if they had more than one case or not. I got to the local TRU and only found one Janeway & Seven of Nine pack and it was a good one. So I bought it to replace one I had that was a bad one. I was really looking for Glenn from the Walking Dead as I need him for parts for a custom I am wanting to make so that is why I really called TRU today. I noticed Four Kirk & Khan, three Picarh & Hugh, and three Sisko & Dukat. They were in the same aisle as the Star Wars and Transformers, which is where I found them at the Schaumburg, IL TRU, but the Rockford, IL TRU had them in a section with all sorts of minimates except I did not see but one Walking Dead package in with the Star Trek mates there. Hope this helps.
  12. Prowl-Ar, I am really feeling like I am part of the world you are creating with the troupe and the zombie take-over. You have some way to make your creations feel like they were created after you wrote the story behind each one. I am still working on my Children of Oberon tale but I have been busy and not able to finish a few of the mates I have started. Thank you for sharing your tale and customs. I always enjoy your posts, but I am curious what has happened with your Neo-Olympian tales? Thank you!
  13. I had ordered a The Hook/Tinkerbelle set from Luke already so I only picked up the ship and the Peter Pan/lost boys set at the Disney Store in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL on the 14th of June. I am thinking of trying to make the white rabbit from one of the lost boys as well as using the sets as parts for customs. I have a set that are still in the packaging for my collection and will be storing them away. I may keep Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle untouched but I have started converting Michael into Henry from "Once Upon A Time" and took parts from Hook to use on my Custom Captain Hook from "Once Upon A Time". I used the top hat/hair from John for my custom "Mad Hatter" from "Once Upon A Time". I do hope to find the time to try to make more from the parts but I need to see the spin-off of Once Upon A Time to get an idea of how the characters will be in Wonderland so I can do my best to peice parts together. I will hope to convert Wendy into an updated Belle or some other custom creation of mine.
  14. Awesome Job on the Mystery Inc. Gang. I really like them and wish I had them in my collection. Great likeness with Scooby, Velma, Fred and Daphne, but Shaggy looks nice but his hair just does not scream Shaggy to me, but I like him anyway. I only wish I had the ability to do that sort of work on customs. Love the Clue board and artwork used for your photos and the Glow-in-the-dark Creature as the villian was very funny. Loved the little tale you played out. Awesome Job and I am jealous of your abilities. Thank you so very much for sharing them with all of us.
  15. Here is the image of New Sisko mate next to the Old Sisko mate. The new Sisko mate's chest block has a darker grey on the vest than the old Sisko's chest block for the uniform.
  16. The Wave 5 Sisko from the original release of Minimates has a lighter shade of grey than the new Sisko in the vest which is darker grey. However, the skin tone on Sisko is darker as well.
  17. I was just re-examining the new Kirk TRU minimate. I am not sure about the legs with then new cuff at the top of the boots. The little parts keep sliding down on the one I have opened for customizing that I am afraid when I open the set I have for display purposes, they will do the same thing and not look right. I am happy to have this TRU wave of Star Trek Minimates and I am so hoping this wave does very well as I really want the future waves we are so due with more of crew members for those of us that are wanting more TNG, DS9, VGER and ENT mates. I am so looking forward to the date Luke gets his order so he can ship me my case and I will have my Archer mate to complete the captains. I am also really looking forward to the Borg Queen and I am really impressed with Hugh. I have an army of borg that I have customized for a friend who then gave them back to me when he moved to the west coast and lost all touch with me. Anyway, I am happy that we have this wave of mates and the detail that we have in them. I am still not sure about the changes in the faces/heads of Picard, Sisko and Kirk but I am still liking them none the less.
  18. I have not seen a Glenn Mate from this wave yet, but I did find a Carol with Pole Zombie at the Rockford, IL TRU. I am not sure what it is but the bottom rope on the pole zombie will not attach to the spot where it is supposed to attach. I am not too upset by this but I am hoping that others do not have the same problem if they are really into collecting these mates. I am merely in it for parts and for some zombies to display at my office in my Halloween Minimate Displays. I really hope to find a Glenn one day very soon.
  19. Okay so I really examined my trek mates I purchased over the weekend. I have two Seven of Nine mates that have the altered face and one of those two has a faulting the plastic that is likely the part from the molding where the fill the mold so it looks like she has a coldsore next to her mouth. I have not noticed anything else wrong with any of my mates thus far.
  20. I examined my 7of9 mates and two seem to have normal faces while one has the awkward face. I openned that pack as I will be customizing from one set as well as one set of each of the other figure sets. I also openned the other three figure packs and I love them all. I have not had any issues but I hope to get my display sets openned soon and I will hope my Picards are all okay. Happy Trek Hunting.
  21. I found these in Schaumburg, IL and Rockford, IL I was able to get three of each pack between the two locations. Not sure will find them back home soon.
  22. Great Find Fwooshyman! I only hope I have that much luck when I find the Trek mates in my area or where ever I may find them. My local TRU did not get any Star Trek mates on their truck today. I know I am going to have a very hard time finding them in my area. I am needing three of each 2-pack. I only hope that next week will be my big week. I understand Luke is supposedly getting his shipment of the LCS wave so if my Local TRU were to get their versions, I will be a very Happy Trekker!!!!!
  23. Nice Aquaman, and a good Hawkman. I wish I had that sort of time and ability to make fine looking customs. I also wish I had more of a supply to work with but I don't. Keep up the Awesome work and Thank you for sharing with us.
  24. I think that " The Man in Black " from "For A Few Dollars More" would be more in tune with Data from "A Fistful of Datas". I know he has a different tie so I used the chest block from " John Baxter " from "A Fistfull of Dollars" I am sure I will make him one day when I either decide to draw a mustache on my second Data face decal (made by Luke) or see about making my own; Then I would attempt to paint the hair from the Man in Black's hat to match Data's color and then the ears to match the decal and presto!
  25. There is always the Khan in Starfleet uniform that's not been made (yet......) Take care, Matty-lad I have made this figure in my personal collection from the use of a spare Scotty and a spare Khan.
