Another thought is that these might not sell very well at all and get clearanced at some point. If they do, then I will definitely buy more. It's possible because it sounds like not too many people are going to order this just for the minimates, the price is way too high and the possibility of making the money back on the game and other stuff is not 100%. Gamers probably won't want the extra crap, so they'll order only the game. Hardcore GB fans may get it and not care about the minimates, or just keep them anyway. I'm sure we'll see a few sets of just the mates on ebay. It will be interesting nonetheless.

No link. Go to the store. I don't know if UO sells them online or not. They were $4.99 a few weeks ago and they lower stuff fairly quickly. They also have Mighty Muggs clearanced for $14.99. Not a great price, but they do have the first wave of GI Joe and some older Marvels. White blanks were $4.99. There weren't many Star Trek minimates packs left when I went the other day, so if you have a store near you, it might be a good idea to call them first and ask them to check before you go there.

"Uconfirmed" is right. I don't think this person ever saw them in the store. I find it hard to believe that one errant case made it to a Toys R Us, that the person who saw it couldn't buy even one pack, and they were suddenly gone so fast... Not to mention that there have been none listed on ebay and nobody else has seen any. They simply haven't shipped yet. There have been sightings of the peg stickers, but that just means an employee stuck them out by mistake. Not calling anyone a liar, just confused... or dreaming. My thoughts, but I've been known to be wrong before.

I'm very happy with this wave. Finally, a Moon Knight! A great DD variation; Storm and Wolverine are fine; Hydra army builders here we go; the Logan soldier is also a good figure and army builder; and the Black Panther is great since you can lose the extra stuff to get the classic costume. Nice stuff all around!

Well, the covers are in color and they have done statues and busts that were also colored. I think getting the license from Image / Kirkman (assuming these are creator owned properties...) for Walking Dead or Invincible is a great idea! I would buy multiple zombie sets and it has great crossover appeal for fans of the comic and zombie fans. I would love to see a colored 4-pack and a variant b/w two pack. Invincible has lots of great characters as well, and it's a really fun book to read which has a lot of fans.

I'm still working my connections to try to get a quantity of this promo. I don't know if, when or how many I may get. Depending on your level of "need" or "want" you may want to look into this NJ store mentioned above. A paperbag full of them sounds great, I just hope he's not ripping people off. They are intended to be giveaways for minimates fans / customers of the retailers that attended the meeting and/or are members of the organization. I will post any new info I get here. Fingers crossed... ****Edit: I just got a promising phone call regarding these. More info when I get it, but it seems likely that I'll get a few of these to get to some members here. It's not a large amount, so I may just give some to the Staff to use as prizes.***

I will definitely get these! The trailer is amazing too. I used to say, "Oh, I'll just get a few Star Wars Kubricks." Then when KB closed, I grabbed the Halo box set for cheap. Then I found a neat set of Mazinger Z and bought that. I got the Batman box set on sale on FCBD too... The other day I was at Urban Outfitters and almost bought all the Lost Kubricks they had because they are clearanced. If they get to $1.99, I will buy, but not yet. I'm being sucked into the Kubricks vortex!!! I still prefer minimates, but Kubricks are growing on me, especially the WTWTA set.

I'm getting one and I don't own any of the game consoles. I ordered the Wii version since it's the cheapest. I don't know how easy it will be to get these minimates on ebay after it's released. I don't see people who want the game paying for the slimer bust and/or keychain and selling the minimates. Maybe a few, but not too many. I'd rather take my chances selling the game, or just giving it to a friend, and selling the other stuff to make some money back. Either way, I think the minimates look great!

If your local comic store ordered them, then you can get them. If not, you can always trade or buy in the flea market here or try ebay. They may still be available to order by the bag after FCBD from Diamond. Ask your store if they can still order them after this Saturday.

Go to your LCS and tell them about ComicsPro and encourage them to join, or at least inquire about joining. Maybe if they talk to the right people at ComicsPro, they'll send them some of the minimates promo if they know to ask about it. Make it happen Cap'n!!!

The meeting was in March. There is no date on the package, but the leg says 2008. But I believe they are from this year's meeting.

ComicsPro is an organization of comic store retailers. They share information about their businesses with each other to make comics retailing as professional as they can, it's a really good group. I'm sure they do a lot more than what I've just said, but I'm not as "inside" as I used to be with the retail side. I guess you could ask your LCS if they are a member and if they are, they might be able to get one for you. I'm going to talk to some people and see what I can do about getting some more for members here. I'll update once I have more information.

Very interesting indeed... It's what I was thinking of earlier when people were complaining of customer service issues. Are they focusing more on the e-tail aspect of instead of their stores? In some cases it seems so. Much like a certain Colorado based comic store and online retailer.
