At the moment, I'd love to see a number of "Cosmic Marvel" characters get released as minimates, mainly the following: Nova (both before and after his upgrade in Annihilation) Quasar Mar-Vell Ultimate Mar-Vell/Mahr Vehl Genis-Vell Phyla-Vell Phyla-Vell as Quasar

I picked this up last week and generally love it. Powerhouse Venom - The big chest piece and eyes make this version far closer to the original which was alright but far from perfect. Hydroman - Pretty much the main reason I got this box set. It would have been nice to see water base for him to stand on (like what Johnny has), but otherwise I think he's perfect. Despite being reuses of the SF chi blasts, his attacks work well for what it's meant to be. Torment Spider-Man - I would have prefered another costume from Spider-Man's wardrobe. As much as I like the classic costume, I prefer others like Scarlet and Armoured more. Wasted potential in my eyes. Still he does look good. Sandman - If they had made all of the sand effects the solid sand colour (for want of a better word), I think this minimate would have been perfect. While far from terrible, I think he looked better on the box and in the preview images. Symbiote Spider-Man - Because I didn't start collecting until about two years ago, I missed out on the original version that was released back in the second (?) wave. In my eyes this is a suitable replacement and I like the attention to detail with Peter's exposed body.

As much as I love this new wave, I have to admit I do hate the Spider-Man mate. As much as I love seeing them, enough already with the bloody "classic" costume. Why oh why couldn't they have pulled one of Spidey's many other (and dare I say better) costumes from the wardrobe? Due to how much I want a Scarlet Spider mate, seeing him paired up with Mysterio instead of the classic would have been SO much better in my eyes. I don't mind them releasing say a SPidey minimate every other wave, but I'm frankly fed up of seeing the "classic" costume all the time (sorry if that's a bit to ranty. I've had a bit of a tiring week). However, Spidey costume mistake aside, I seriously can't wait for these two waves. Ms Marvel, Angel, Havoc and Ultron are great additions in my eyes. And I look forward to seeing who's included in future waves.

Having just dug out my Udon SF and Darkstalker books, I'm really big on Street Fighter and Darkstalkers at the mo, and so dissapointed that we didn't at least see wave 2 which had a number of my favourites (Ken, Felicia, Talbon, Dan and Blanka). And as a big fan of the lesser known Street Fighter characters, (namely the Street Fighter 3 line up), I was really hoping we'd get sets like Yun and Gen (with Yang, Yun's brother as a chase), Gill and Urien (with maybe "Seraphic Wing Gill as a chase), Charlie and maybe the Shadow version of him, Guy and Cody and maybe Eagle and Dudley (fan of the British characters). Granted I wouldn't have minded if they dropped Darkstalkers after wave 2 as Felicia, Talbon, Morrigan and Demitri were the ones I wanted the most. And truth be told, I'd rather see them drop most of the new licences like Battlestar Galactica, Rocky, 24 (not a big fan of the show anyway) and Star Trek, and release more Street Fighter ones.

Although I'd like to see them before I make any final opinions on wave 17 and 18, truth be told I'd rather see them release a comic based Spider-Man minimate wave which has characters and costumes we've not seen yet then two waves where they're basically re-releasing old minimates. Still, like I said, I'll wait until I see pictures before I make a final judgement as there may be a few I wish to get.

I agree. I'm all for more Spidey based minimates but I want more than Spider-Man in the classic costume and the same villains. Personally I'm not AS fond of the classic costume as I am of some of the varients like Iron Spidey, Scarlet and the Armour. Granted I didn't get the Black costume first time around, I'm happy I'll FINALLY be able to get Civil War, the Green Goblin and "Web Armor Spiderman" minimates could be interesting and Hydro Man is someone I'm quite happy to get, but the rest I either have before or ignored last time because I didn't want them. Plus there's the fact I may not be able to easily get the box set and Target exclusives due to my location. Frankly if I want any Spidey minimate re-released, it's Spider-Man 2099. I'd like to see a version with the cape and a deeper red for his costume (I am aware of customising but it's not something I'm into).

FINALLY! They're doing more than just make "un-mask", "battle damaged" or "unmasked and battle damaged" Spider-Man! Iron Spidey (though they could have done it better) and Armoured Spidey (assuming that's what Web Armor Spider-Man is) were high on my most wanted list. However, I live in the UK so I don't know how easy it would be for me to get them over here.

Actually, I hate zombies. I really hate them and if you ask me vampires are way better than zombies (it seems in some people's eyes, vampires and zombies have a relationship simular to pirates and ninjas). Anyway, I picked up this mini series and loved it. It was a nice spin on both Zombies and Marvel comics. If there's anything, I'm dissapointed they aren't using Black Panther or Ant Man as both of them played an important role in the series (I'd love to get a minimate of Black Panther with the replacement limbs). Heck, if they throw in both of them they could turn this into Wave 17. I agree. As a fellow Brit I don't know how easy it would be for me to get them in the UK. But, like I said elsewhere, if I see them and have enough money, I have every intention to pick them up.

I love the look of the Spider-Man and Marvel Zombies box set. However I don't know how easy it would be for me to get them, and I'd love to get a hold of Hydro-Man. Still, if I see them and have the money I won't say no.

Talbon, Felicia, Blanka and Ken are some of my favourite Darkstalker and Street Fighter characters, and I was really looking forward to adding them to my Minimate collection.

Cool. Now I can do a fight between The Sentry and Thor. Who'd win? Hard to say as I like both of them.

Truth be told, so long as any of the following show up at some point I don't mind what's in the next wave: Captain Mar-Vell Ms Marvel Iron Spidey Scarlet Spidey Gambit New Nightcrawler

The first film was alright (loved how we saw the characters use their powers in day to day life), but generally it wasn't as good as it could be. I'm hoping the new one will be far better.

For anyone who's interested, the Forbidden Planet in Bristol had Wave 12 and 13 when I was in there last weekend, though they're behind the comic counter.

If this news means we'll be getting Wave 2 - Excellent. I had all but given up hope of getting them. The wave contains a number of my favourite characters, namely Talbon, Felicia and Ken so I was dissapointed to hear it was cancelled. If this news means we'll be getting Wave 2 and more waves - Even better, though to be honest I don't know of any other charatcers I want bar Jedah and some of the Street Fighter I, Alpha and (especally) III characters. Course I'm not going to get my hopes up until I hear it "straight from the horses mouth", but frankly I'd be happy if they'd just release Wave 2 and end it there.

I was slightly hoping they'd use Ultimate Venom's origin. I'm not overly fond of the one uses in the animated series. None the less, Venom looks great in my opinion.

I'm actually heading off to London in about a months time, so I hope they have enough Minimates for me to stock up on when I'm there.

I agree. I'm a fan of Nightcrawler and yet I've not seen any up to date version of him. And the same could be said about Spider-Man. I'd be happy if more minimates would appear but would much prefer some of the alternative costumes like Scarlet Spider and Iron Spidey than "battle damaged Spider-Man" or "unmasked Spider-Man" or "Battle Damaged un-masked Spider-Man". Now for the next wave, I'd love to see a Civil War based one, perhaps having a pro reg character and an anti reg character in each box, say up to date Iron Man vs Iron Spidey, Thor vs Giant Man and so on.

I'd love to have the Galactus versions of Ant Man, Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man and Luke Cage, especally considering the damage most of them took. On the one hand, great. Another Beast to add to my collection. On the other, we've just had an X-Men line, and personally I'd be more interested in a Civil War based set. None the less, I'd probably get the Beast/Juggernaut set (assuming I can find it over here).

Might be interested in trying one of them. Any you could reccomend? Hmm. Haven't thought about that. Might look into it. Tell me about it. FP Bristol used to be excellent for getting Minimates about a year ago, but (like I said above), recently it's been harder and harder to get the newer ones there. I used to go to Plymouth University and while there, they used to have an excellent comic book shop called "Kathies" which sadly closed down. At ones point they were offering certain sets at a really cheap price. Wish I got one of them when I had the chance.

Forgive me if this thread has already been done but I was wondering if people could help me track down sources for me to get them. I live near the Forbidden Planet in Bristol but sadly it's getting harder and harder to get Minimates there. I am aware they have a website with them on it but I was wondering if anyone knew of any other, (hopefully) better sources for me to get them.

I know the Gamestation in Gloucester sells them but last time I checked they weren't that cheap. I'm hoping they'll get series 2 if/when they're released.

As a fan of Street Fighter III, I was hoping we'd see some SFIII minimates (or at least Yun and Yang) at some point, as well as perhaps Pyron and Jedah from Darkstalkers. Because of this, I hope this doesn't signal the end of the Street Fighter minimates. With a number of good characters from both Street Fighter/Final Fight (I'd also love to see a Guy minimate) and Darkstalkers it would be a shame if they came to an end after only two series.
