  1. I'll tell you what'd really be great, is to do Capcom in a Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 series. That would be a GREAT way to new definitive versions for a multitude of popular Marvel characters, and do a ton of great Capcom guys while enjoying the popularity of a big game. I know Street Fighter is dead, etc, but this way we could get Ryu, Frank West, Megaman, etc...
  2. I figured. The problem with the Bullseye is that the plastic for his legs are discolored and have a lot of residue from teh molding process. It's just annoying bc all my other Mates stand properly, for the most part. But now some of the guys from that set I have to have their legs wide open for them to stand =(. Given, I bought it only for the Dr. Doom, but he is one of the ones whose leg is almost half an inch longer =(. Well, I still have a few coming in the mail from ebay and TRU.com to look forward to. Minimates are only 2 inches tall. 1/2 an inch would add a hell of a lot of height to one leg. I mean, a LOT. Just sayin.
  3. Anyone who can find me Arcee, I will BEG AND BEG AND THEN LOVE YOU FOREVER K THNX. Seriously though, I need her and I can't find her near me.
  4. What is the best head you guys have found for Cap? I'm using the Sentry's right now (the old one's) and its alright...us I really want something better though.
  5. Its spam. My name isn't Karen Holt.
  6. I saw, like, 20 Batmen at TRU today, and literally no other single packed figure. Are they shipping whole Batman cases?
  7. Just so I get my 2 cents in, She-Hulk banged the Juggernaut, but no one objects to minimates of them. Kids don't have to know that, and they don't have to know that that lady's vagina is haunted.
  8. To comment on Toys R' Us, they definitely carry Bioshock, Prototype, Metal Gear Solid, Watchmen, and other mature-ish merchandise. I don't think the APPEARANCE of these mini-mates is too mature, which is the big issue, not as much the source material. Also, God of War, Dead Space (w/ a bloody variant), Mezco's Cinema of Horror, need I go on?
  9. Yes. You crazy kids and your Linkin Park! Anyway, I would kill for a ClePunk set with: Bernie (Bernie and the Invisibles) Mike Hudson (Pagans) John Morton (Electric Eels) Dave E (Jazz Destroyers and Electric Eels) A Gun Club 2 pack with Jeffery Lee Pierce and Kid Congo Powers would also rock. Also sign me up for a King Crimson set. 1. I don't do Linkin Park. 2. I'm older than you, pretty sure.
  10. I got my gift yesterday. My santa sent me the Infinity Gauntlet Box Set, an EXTREMELY cool pack. Thanks, whoever! (Its from Luke's place, dammit )
  11. Hey, I haven't got mine yet but if my Santa reads this, just know that it won't kill me if I get it after Christmas, so don't let it kill you. Also, if I was too vague, I'm SURE I will like whatever you get me (those stands on Luke's store look SEX-AY though )
  12. Alright then, here's MY hang up. SDCC exclusives are meant to be a sort of COLLECTORS ITEM at an event for COLLECTORS. They are a sort of memoir from your time there, something special that you can get because you attended. Toys R' Us exclusives are simply sold exclusive there as opposed to an LCS for their waves. They are NOT intended to remind you fondly of your trip to Toys R' Us. Toys R' Us is a NATION WIDE RETAIL STORE that sells ONLY TOYS. You should be able to go into the store to buy the products you want. These stores MAKE MONEY off of selling these toys to you. This isn't some kind of plan by Toys R' Us to keep these a limited collectible, this is STUPIDITY causing them to lose money and collectors and others to not be able to buy the things they want. With Transformers: Animated, I could go into any store and easily find the toys I wanted, with a few end-of-line partial exceptions. When I collected Marvel Legends, I could find all of the figures fairly easily, even the WAL-MART EXCLUSIVE wave with Giant-Man. I cannot find any of these damn TRU mates, because my TRU is obviously poorly managed, and enjoys losing money and pissing me off. We have a right to be angry and vocal about this. I'm glad that some people here think that there's nothing wrong with the fact that some of us can't find what we want, and have to pay ridiculous prices if we ever do want them. Most of these people have either managed to find these items already, or don't really want them. Great for them.
  13. If my TRU hasn't got in the last like, three waves, of Minimate, not even the shitty Newer Origins mates, then can I keep my bitchin'?
  14. I'll send you a members info on Friday. Could we request to you a certain member we'd like to get, as long as they wouldn't know?
  15. Honestly, I think it would. There are plenty of unique, colorful humanoid characters in the show. Hell, there are good army builders too. I'd buy them myself, anyway.
  16. If I can chime in with my two cents, I know PLENTY of people were unhappy with the SI Beast and wanted a more "iconic" blue fuzzy one. There you go. Cyclops' Jim Lee outfit is easily one of, if not his most, popular outfits EVER, and it's certainly nice to get, especially with a lot of Jim Lee fans out there. Hellfire club guard is yet another army builder... unless anyone wants to go back to the pre-army builder days? Nope, didn't think so. Jean? We've got ONE true, heroic 616 Jean and she has had PLENTY of other costumes, its nice to have an alternative to Phoenix, especially one with team colors. As far as the Black Queens go, I realize two Jeans isn't the best choice ever, and Selene isn't the most popular choice, but she's a new character and jean's Black Queen outfit is pretty iconic for its short tenure. This wave feels pretty damn solid to me, more so than that wave with the three Spideys. I just don't know whats with all the hate going on here. THERE WILL BE MORE WAVES. Hopefully, your 276th Wolverine, Jubilee (shudder), and Kang will be in the next one or so, but as of right now it seems Marvel is not only here to stay, but here to pump out a shitload more mates every year. All I'm trying to say is instead of all the negativity, why don't we all try to put this in perspective and be grateful that we're getting X-Men that AREN'T Wolverine. Mind you, I do remember those box-sets an the horizon too, but X-Men doesn't get a ton of love always. Let's love the not Spidey, please.
  17. I'm pretty sure Ady ate the whole thing a couple years ago. There may even be photographic evidence somewhere here on the 'verse.... I wonder how skimpy the back of her will be? I definatly still have that picture, just for reference.
  18. Luke, have you toyed with changing the shape of the windows for the minimates on your custom boxes? Most official boxsets have like explosion cutouts or something. Just an idea!
  19. Whoa, we can't go dissing on pigtails now! I LOVE pigtails! On topic, does anyone else think that the 1st Appearance X-Men, Silver Age and X Factor is a bit too much?
  20. I've seen them at both Wal-Mart and K-Mart.
  21. Thanks guys. It's cool, god knows I've forgotten worse. I barely got any minimates though. But, I am 18 now so I can drive my friends around. It's a decent trade.
  22. If I can just say, I think DST SERIOUSLY messed up when making Rhodey the variant. Tony as War Machine is pretty useless to anyone who prefers to keep just one version of each character. I support his review 100%
  23. Because many characters were created by white males, simple as that.
  24. Sorry Deadpool but I totally disagree, if a member lives less than 10 miles away from the convention hall and could not get their shit together to make a visit on even one day out of the four then why should someone who has gone to a lot of time, efffort and money ( probablly travelling hundreds or thousands of miles & paying for airfair and hotel rooms etc) spend time picking up stuff for that person and possibly miss out on what they want to do? Not to mention the costs of shipping that pack aren't that far from a ticket! If we are going to accept this request, then can anyone in Portland stop by the 7-11 and bring me a six pack, I can't be arsed to get off the couch!!! T. To be a little fair here, it doesn't cost $35 or around that to walk into a 7-11.
