luke314pi
Awesome, I have an upcoming set of 4 that will be perfect for this. Maybe I will shoot for 2 entries and try to finish my 2nd set of Fifth Element customs as well.
Bob Harris
Close to the deadline, but I finally finished my set. Nothing spectacular, mostly civilian characters, from one of my most favorite comic series. I really wanted to customize these guys. And since I needed to spend some time on them, I haven't had the time to participate in Luke's Alternative Universe contest. Maybe - that's a very small maybe here - I'll find the time, because I have an idea.

boyd
Yeah, I'm not going to have anything this time. But I've got a great start on another obscure group. Would anyone be interested in seeing more Eyes of M.A.R.C.H. characters in a future Custom Con?

luke314pi
Would anyone be interested in seeing more Eyes of M.A.R.C.H. characters in a future Custom Con? I definitely would. My CustomCon entry is going to be packaging for a set that I already made. I know it is preferred for the customs to be all new, but no one has seen the packaging yet, and only people here at MMV have seen the customs. I didn't post them on Flickr or Facebook yet. Kind of lame, I know, but I wasn't able to start on the other project I had planned. Maybe next CustomCon!
dr baghead
I didn't even bother to work on my entry... when the Hell is "Dark Knight: Boy Wonder" going to ship?!?! How can I make a proper "Dark Knight Trilogy" set if DC refuses to release any new comics in the series so I can get a good reference shot of the Joker's face?! boyd
The first day of the latest CustomCon is up, and there's a wonderful set of Minimates! Go check out Bob Harris' great Preacher Minimates.
Lobsterman
Very nice work, as always, Bob! Given your penchant for Vertigo stuff, may I venture a guess that a Lucifer series is in the works?
Bob Harris
Thanks folks! I was really happy to finish them right in time for the deadline. I'll present them in the usual way in my custom thread, giving you some more thoughts, the recipe and more pics. Have a look and enjoy! And Lobsterman, although your thought is pretty clever, you're wrong. Actually I say goodby to Vertigo right now, and I'm saying hello to some other companies. (Right, I used the plural here, there are a few more customs right in the making.)
luke314pi
A very nice set of minimates! I really need to read Preacher one of these days.
Bob Harris
Thanks Luke! Day two doesn't bring us minimates explicitly, but there is a vehicle and the customizers used a minimate as a pilot. I don't know the series it's based on, but it seems to be in perfect scale: Space Above & Beyound. And while I really think these guys are as ugly as it gets, I think the customizer did an outstanding job! He used casting resin to make these Uni Formz! luke314pi
Looks like my Resident Evil 5 minimates got posted today. You guys have already seen the minimates, but not the packaging.
Bob Harris
Your packaging is stunning as always! I should really concider doing something like this. And it seems like today was already the last day of custom con. I think it was way too less participants so they only made it a three day con. Punisher
Love the fiery package design. And why people are STILL using the pre-ml figures for customs?
hellpop
Love the fiery package design. And why people are STILL using the pre-ml figures for customs? I think it must just be because they are so easy to find. I've got comic book stores in my area that still have tons of them. And, of course, several of them are still at a premium price, insuring that they will NEVER sell and thus remain on the pegs, taking up space that could go for products made this century... ah, comic book stores Not as impressed with the entries this time as I was last CC (save for Bob and Luke, natch, even if Bob did totally rip me off! ). Maybe they're saving the best guys for tomorrow.
Bob Harris
Maybe they're saving the best guys for tomorrow. Let me quote Apollo Creed here: There is no tomorrow! Unfortunatelly this con was just three days short. And I replyed to your rip off accusation in my thread.
