Mohawk_Jones Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I don't know about Cyber-Spidey but the Mecha-Hulk was designed by Art Adams! That entire Hulk Classics wave was designed by Adams. His artwork is on the packaging and if you look at the figures in the series you can see his influence. Quote
bigvis497 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 There was some interesting stuff in a lot of those "not really" Marvel Legends lines. Quote
Sherbertice Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 my crazy idea of Spider King from Spider Island Quote
murderofcrows Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 In honor of the new MU here is my mod for Herc. No bulky chest. No skirt. Hope you like. Quote
Heroic Slacker Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) Nice! That Herc is ripped. Edited April 16, 2013 by Heroic Slacker Quote
sha_ckwave Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 A bunch of these recipes were borrowed or derived from ones I saw here, so thanks for the inspiration and recipes men. Pretty simple stuff here, but If you want a recipe, ask, I'll do my best to recall it. Training Cap/Steve Rodgers Henry Gyrich Sprite (1st appearance Kitty Pryde) Classic Power Man w/ new head: Classic Iron Fist Secret Wars Professor X (or pretty close to it) Bushmaster Scott Summers in civies Dr. Donald Blake Charlie in a Blue Suit Iron Monger (pretty close to him anyway) 1st Appearance James Rhodes Iron Man Heather Hudson Non-Phasing Vision Dr Moira Mactaggert FF She-Hulk Updated Thunderbird Morph Johnny Storm Neo-Classic Cyclops Quicksilver with a more appropriate, brooding head Mohawk Storm with vest accessory Classic X-Force Warpath Dr Henry Pym (also a WCA Hawkeye) Updated Classic Reed/Sue My take on Mimic (I just had extra First Class and other parts and wanted to use them) Also, I recently got organized. Tired of bin digging for what I'm looking for... Anyone else organize their spare parts? Quote
kaipo Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 niiice!!! im really liking the civie-mates, particularly Henry, Scott, Donald, and Hank. Recipes?? And kudos to your parts bin! Wish I had that much spare parts to warrant separate storage. But your customs are great. Quote
PattieCake Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Always like looking at some quick customs, they're on of the reasons Minimates kick derriere! Whoa, recipe for Bushmaster, please! Quote
thereasonsy Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 These look great sha_ckwave! I am jealous of the bin. Where did you get it? My current project is Firestar but I am still stuck on finding a skin tone paint for the chest. I also revised my Namorita with parts from a Tinkerbell. Thoughts on the paint? Quote
Bob Harris Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Anyone else organize their spare parts? Yes. I use Ikea's "Moppe" to organize my spare parts. Works great! Quote
bilbofett Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I use the small and medium plastic drawer/tray sets found at walmart. They're cheap and it's easy to find parts when needed. Quote
stack32 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I liked sha_ckwave's idea of modifying Quicksilver since the body can still blend in with modern 'mates but I couldn't stand the hair or face, so I swapped with Asteroid M Magneto: Not quite perfect, but think I can put him in my Avengers display now. Quote
kaipo Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 nice look on quicksilver. simple but effective Quote

That is a nice quick custom! He looks much better. Now to head to ebay to find the pieces for it. Quote
Zak Katz Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I used MvC Mags instead of Astroid M, it's a little easier to find. Quote
stack32 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 After modifying Quicksilver I looked through my old minimates to see if there were any others that could be improved with some new parts and decided Assualt Punisher might be salvageable: I used Assault Punisher's head, arms, torso, and hands along with movie Sabretooth's coat, an Expendables belt, random weapons, and a black lower body. Not sure exactly where the hairpiece came from. Jigsaw I had been planning on putting together for a while, it's a Mr. Negative body with new hands and feet with a movie Jigsaw head and movie Punisher hair. Might change the hair on that one, not sure right now. Quote

I use that hair and an Invaders Namor head. The Quicksilver had on that Namor has a kind of fun, silly Defenders vibe to it. Quote
emperorshotz Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 (edited) Hey sha_ckwave-- where did Storm's vest come from? Edited April 21, 2013 by emperorshotz Quote
Scythe Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Awesome! Jigsaw! He's one of my favorite villains, here's my take on him from when he used to dress up like punisher: Quote

That looks way better than the one released, one suggestion, maybe try sticking a black or dark blue crotch piece on him? Quote
stack32 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 That looks way better than the one released, one suggestion, maybe try sticking a black or dark blue crotch piece on him? For accuracy that would definitely be better, but I actually like this look more. Quote
minijames Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 i absolutely had to change Mystiques hair, at least until an updated version comes out, and i found 1st class Jean to be the best donor. replaced White Phoenix with Heather Hudsons and put Phoenixes on 1st class Jean. everybody looks better IMO.
