Gillbob316 Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) I want another X-Men Wave Dazzler/Longshot Psylocke/Jubilee Forge/Banshee I was trying to round out our merry mutants and thought who hasnt been done, these pack pairings seem natural No offense, I love X-Men and I'd totally buy all of them, but I could easily see hundreds of Forge & Banshee packs ending up at the bottom of clearance bins nationwide. I think we're starting to get to the point where the only X-Men we have left need to be packed with another character to "support" them, so to speak. The only two really big X-Men left are Gambit and Psylocke. (And maybe Jubilee...) Some logical pairings I see... ("Lame" character 1st, Good Character options second.) Forge & Storm or Mystique Jubilee & Wolverine X-23 & Wolverine Vulcan & Cyclops Marvel Girl (Rachel) & Cyclops or Cable Cannonball & Cable Warpath & Cable Domino & Cable Sunfire & Gambit (They've been teamed up quite alot recently) Revanche & Psylocke Morph/Changeling & Blink (I'm thinking Changeling could be the variant...) Joseph & Magneto or Rogue X-Man & Phoenix or Cyclops Sage & Bishop Xorn & Magneto or Phoenix Armor & Wolverine Those are just some thoughts... (comic) 24: Spidey (comic) 25: P:WZ (movie) I wanna say Wolverine: Origins ends up being wave 26. Given the way the Spider-man wave is set up, this seems likely. As well as using bigger characters to carry the weaker ones, it's clear DST want to remake bigger characters to draw in new customers, as they're doing with Spidey and Venom. (And as long as we get half new characters in a wave, I'm all for it.) The only character in your list I'd disagree on would be X-23, who's kinda huge and I think could carry a 2-pack (even though pairing her with Wolvie obviously makes thematic sense). It would be awesome if they paired her with Rahne since I think they're in that new X-Force series together? Also a Xorn would be great, to go with the New X-Men mates, which is one of my favourite "groups" they've done. Maybe with a better designed cat-Beast, since the Astonishing version is so lame... Speaking of, a Weapon X box-set or a similar type thing would make a great tie-in to the Wolverine movie and a great excuse to finally get Gambit and Deadpool done. My hope is a movie set like mentioned numerous times in this thread but also a more comic based Wolvie set. Though they could use the DC short feet (or a comparable new sculpt) I just think they'd slip in a different Alpha member instead of worry about size variation. Mattallica Posted July 30, 2008 Share Posted July 30, 2008 I'd like to see waves 25 and 26 be Wolverine movie mates but in that its X-men origins : Wolverine and several characters, who've yet to make their MM debut are in the movie, they woiuld do two packs of Movie Wolverine and 1st appearance comic Wolvie ( take advantage of that Skrull Wolvie "whiskers" mask tooling) Movie Gambit and comic Gambit Movie Deadpool and his comic version and i guess to follow the established 3pack and one variant set Movie Deapool and comic version maskless/Hamburger head Then movie and classic Sabretooth Wraith Silverfox and maybe Maverick as the variant, replacing a second comic Wraith Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
