Reideen1313
Initially, I was going for this: Then I decided something a bit more traditional would be better, since I only have one White Queen 'mate. He's not done obviously, I've got some work to do filling in the details, but getting the helmet set so it will still retain all of its mobility was a small victory. (Considering I've been thinking about this custom for about 2 years now, puzzling how I'm going to get a LEGO stormtrooper helmet on a minimate head...) Thoughts? Suggestions? TBT!
Looking good so far, drop me a PM if you want my 'clone trooper' AI file for the chest? BTW a bullseye belt makes a pretty good stormtrooper belt... T. p.s. the top picture looks like it's from a cheap porn ripoff... starwhores? Reideen1313
Nah - did a google image search for 'stormtrooper' and it showed up. I'll take you up on the AI file, but you'll need to walk me thru applying it.

NightViper
The helmets from the Clones and Stormtroopers that have removable ones actually fit over Minimate heads, I think I actually prefer that look to the Lego heads on Minimate bodies. The Lego heads end up a bit too small for my tastes.
blacksun1520
I tried to get a lego clone trooper helmet on a mini head, but it was way too tight. how did you get it to fit without forcing it? BS

BS Leave the Lego head inside. Lego heads and Minimate heads have the same size neck holes. Actually the Lego neck is slightly smaller, but it still goes on. hulk197
I make mine with SW luke skywalker in stormtrooper disguise helmets. it fits on the minimate head perfectly. The scale may be a little off, but I think they look great. I use other Clones and troopers' accessories to make unique figures. You could try molding a small wad of Sculpey on the "neck" peg of the minimate and putting the lego helmet on that. I've done that to use biker scout heads. Let me know how it turns out. Love the white queen version though!
616commando
the 30th aniversary figures (3.75 inch) version of the storm trooprs come with removable helmets, that are of a much more piliable plastic than the lego helmets. Also they fit on standard minimates head with no fuss at all. PLUS they are extremly easy to find at walmarts/targets etc. Edited April 13, 2008 by 616commando

jcastick
Well, if she is anything like my wife, she'd just laugh at you and shake her head......LOL I mean she DOES put up with a Minimate addiction like mine does

When I get boxes and open them, I have to show her. She pretends to be interested in most of what I get. She's actually kind of proud to show off my collection. I was going to take them down for our Superbowl party. (All her friends and coworkers were coming over.) She told me to leave them up and actually made my kids put the ones back that I'd already taken down. She understands me. You should see her Sorcerer Mickey collection....
