Roccothegreat Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 i have those dollar store things as gun racks. are those new ones that are just flat metal? or you made them flat to look like that? Quote
elmeaux Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 This is different from the "gun rack" one. It's a business card holder. It's in a sort of 'z' shape. Quote
Onyx_6 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I started to do something similar with the pencil/utensil trays from the dollar store. It is a bit harder to get the side pieces off, but you can get the angled part of the fence at the top. I'll see if I can find pictures.... Quote
MiniJPD Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I got the day off from work due to snow and am planning on using it to make some dioramas. I've got an hour until the craft store opens, so I'm gonna shoot over there to buy all sorts of things. I'm working with a 3' x 1.5' shelf, so I'm hoping to make a three-part diorama with the farm, prison and Woodbury. I'm using some buildings from The Lone Ranger LEGO sets that I already had for Woodbury, and a LEGO wagon for a prop on the farm, but the rest will be handmade and maybe a few background printouts. I'm excited! Quote
MiniJPD Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Here's a preview of what I finished today. I'm gonna keep working on it for a while, but I am psyched with how this part is looking so far. Quote
MiniJPD Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Thanks! Here are some updated photos: And my updated Walking Dead display: The only thing is, is I have too many minimates. Good problem to have I suppose but it looks so crowded and I don't want to take any away from the display.. Quote
TENIME_art Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 While not as awesome as some of the setups here, anyone else think these could be good? Army men aren't that much smaller than Minimates, right? (Been a couple decades since I played with them, lol) http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=GG10635&mode=retail http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=GG10652&mode=retail Quote
MisterPL Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Dimensions: L 1” x W 1.3” x H 2.25” (average figure) I'd say these would work. That tower looks a little short but the arena parts are cool. Quote
