DSTZach
I do not think we have any plans to deviate from the current configuration. When we design packaging that works, we tend to stick with it, shape-wise.
SCW
I came into this thread late and there's too much to read it all... But did I read right that these were only $1?
youbastards
Mass Effect blind bags at Gamestop hit 97 cent clearance prices, yes. Edited August 17, 2015 by youbastards
DSTZach
SRP on most blind bags (TMNT, AoU, NBX) is $5.99. Although I think K-mart was selling TMNT for $4.99. Those are mostly all gone, though. Anyone seen any TMNT at Kmart lately?
MisterPL
If you don't understand our thinking by now, PL, I honestly don't know how else to say it. Believe me, I know the feeling.
SlushyFrog
I'm still of the belief that the packaging art should show as much of the actual product as possible (at least until there is brand recognition). But stores could help out by displaying opened samples. That's usually how I end up buying the random blind bag/box at my LCS, when they have samples that look cool, because often the packaging doesn't do enough to show off the product. MisterPL
I had absolutely zero interest in collecting any kind of block figure until I saw how poseable Minimates were in an advertisement in ToyFare magazine. Once I realized how different these were from LEGO and Kubrick figures, I decided to give them a try and I've been a collector ever since. Had that ad simply featured the Minimates and Star Trek logos with control art of characters' heads, I wouldn't be having this conversation. Zach's photography has done more to get me excited about new releases than any control art.

We wanted it to look neat and clean, but looking back at other blind bags, I see that they have no qualms about cluttering up the packaging. I'll keep pushing for figures on the front as well as back, but it has not happened yet.
CBMM1
Perhaps the group shot could be placed on the lip that sticks up at the back of the box that holds the bags? Seems like enough space to fully advertise the figures.
MisterPL
What a great idea.
