Nervous Rex
Hey there, back from the lab, where I was cooking up some custom gumbo, with our favorite cajun... He was always one of my favorite Joe's growing up(wonder if subconsciously he is the reason I became a Marine) Well, I think I was able to come pretty close with the backpack he came with, and I had a lot of fun painting him. As I did with the Viper, I used the rub'n buff on his grenades and gun(I think I'm gonna go back and do it to Torpedo's scuba tank), and did a little drybrushing on his backpack, and vest. Hope you like
Jatta Pake
Looks fantastic! Gung-ho was one of my favorites growing up too. I didn't become a Marine, but I wonder if it did influence my decision to become one of the Village People?
Arashikage Assasin
Wow.. all your customs are great. Great work on all of them! Viper is one of my favorite.. since the Vipers are my favorite Cobra Soldiers.. and he looks sweet too.
THE_CRIPPLER
Looks fantastic! Gung-ho was one of my favorites growing up too. I didn't become a Marine, but I wonder if it did influence my decision to become one of the Village People? Hilarious man. You crack me up lol. Amazing.JL
Excellent!! Great detail! Definitely one of my fav characters. He was unique.
Nestlé
Gung Ho looks great!! So, how did you do his hat this time? Is that just a pile of putty? How many more of these works of art you got for us Nervous?
Alpheon
I was curious as to the backpack. The hat looks like a modified M. Bison's, to me. Beautiful customs, by the way. How do you have TIME for all these??
Nestlé
Josh, does this mean we're all done? One thing you gotta learn about being famous... You can make everybody happy and excited... But you better not miss your dealines... Cause they'll turn on you pretty quick.
Nervous Rex
Looks fantastic! Gung-ho was one of my favorites growing up too. I didn't become a Marine, but I wonder if it did influence my decision to become one of the Village People? I just knew someone would say that, lol The hat looks great, and awesome job on the camo pants. Are those decals or did you paint them on? The hat was sculpted, and the camo, was painted on, along with Gung-Ho. Really getting into the painting side of these customs, but I guess you guys could tell that Josh, does this mean we're all done? One thing you gotta learn about being famous... You can make everybody happy and excited... But you better not miss your dealines... Cause they'll turn on you pretty quick. So, just because I had a late night at the casino, and am a little groggy waking up doesn't mean we are done and just for that, I'm gonna show two today, how do you like that one How could I have a G.I.Joe week without these two dudes? Duke was a basic redo, just painted over, I did the little sleeves rolled up modification, and a new backpack(lego modified) which actually comes on and off lie the other ones A note on Snake Eyes- I was bothered by just the strait plain black and grey/silver to the previous versions I have done, so with this one I wanted to give his uniform a more gritty, worn look, so he actually looks like he's not new to the commando game.I am really proud of this custom, hope you enjoy
O.B
OMG!.....that Snake Eyes is awesome! Kudos to you!!!
ckerus
Wow! That Sanke Eyes is amazing Nervous. The accesories he comes with are an excellent addition. Nice work all around man.
Nestlé
Whoa, whoa... Don't over exert yourself, there buddy... I want this Joe a day to run as long as possible. Duke is nicely improved. I'm really impressed with how that Lego Backpack looks EXACTLY right. As far as I can remember I've always had a little bit of critism for your Snake Eyes mates. No more. He's awesome! Just like the viper before I LOVE how disproportionate the visor is!! The only disappointment is it's still hard to pick out the details in the photo. The_Donster
Nice work, it's too bad AA can't get the Joe license. They could definately call you for the templates to your customs. While most of my friends were a Transformer fan, I was a Joe fan
antacost
Great work all around Nervous... Love the updates to Snake Eyes, but that Viper is awesome! I'd love to have a little army of those guys setting on my desk. Keep 'em coming.
Zombieboyfiend
Awesome stuff! Who's next?
Nervous Rex
Hey everyone, It is coming late in the day, but how could I end the reveal week without including this guy? There are some more I am almost done with, just some decals and touch ups, but today is the last day of the Joe-a-day customs. More to come soon, thanks for all the great feedback! I hope everyone liked them as much as I did making them  and a bonus, one of my all time favorite figures to play with(along with Torpedo) when I was little
Deadpool
Snow job... hehe... Really though, amazing work on Storm Shadow! He's really different (in a good way) from a lot of other designs!
The_Donster
Holy crap, those are amazing Especially Storm Shadow, one of the cooler Cobra villains, nice work once again
Nestlé
Wow. Awe-inspiring. You know the character designs I never care too much for of yours were Snake Eyes & Storm Shadow. This time around you completely blew any cristism out of the water!!! Awesome!!! I absolutely LOVE Storm Shadow!!!!! Oh Snow Job... One of my most hated Joes... Seriously tho, he looks great too! I can't say enough about how these guys look. Still my one complaint though... Can we get another shot of their faces? Snow Job is ESPECIALLY hard to make out.
antacost
Both of them are great, but I really love that Snow Job... I always loved the Arctic team as a kid. Storm Shadow is superb, though. That's the best version I've ever seen of him. Great work once again, Nervous.
Fujis
Great work, Nervous! Snow Job was one of my fav's as a child as well! And a very interesting design on Storm Shadow. Are the shealths scratch-built? And are they connected to the modified Nightcrawler chest piece?
drgnrbrn316
I confess to not ever being a huge GI Joe fan, but their minimate representation as envisioned by Nervous is quite breath-taking. And the way you've handled Storm Shadow's swords is inspiring.
Amazing.JL
Dang, G.I. Joe factory in full effect! Awesome stuff man.
Nervous Rex
Hey guys, back again with some new stuff, but not minimates. I feel like I'm in the minority when I read some other forums when I say this, but one of my favorite lines to collect are the Ed Mcg figures. Being a fan of his artwork, I couldn't be happier with these figures, especially the Hawkman that is coming out soon. So, what to do with a few extra Captain Atoms?...make some customs. I really enjoyed doing these, both just repaints, but I plan to start doing many more. hope this is cool to post here First is a repaint of Captain Atom himself, with a more chromed out finish. really looks cool in person. and second, my personal favorite Green Lantern, Hal Jordan would you guys care to see more as I get them done? enjoy, and thanks for looking
