Mysterious Stranger

TRU 2-packs are hitting according to posts on Facebook. Are there supposed to be any differences between the 2-pack and box set figures? Other than the TRU exclusive Ozymandias/Silk Spectre set?

I like that this will also be available on TRU.com during the convention. One less thing I have to scour Ebay for. Now my biggest concern is the giveaway figure. I have a sneaking suspicion that its going to be the Translucent Purple Donatello we all need to complete that set.

Elder, Boar, Borg, Guardian, Shaman, Warrior, Scout, Snake, Stalker - so just two more I believe, Boar and Borg.

I just saw that Toomes has an alt look in this set so I'll definitely need two sets for sure.

Available at Entertainment Earth booth at SDCC and at TRU.com starting 7/20/17. I wasn't expecting another Vulture figure given that he has an alt look in the regular retail pack. But for a convention exclusive it works. Half-mask, burger Spidey I guess is a fun exclusive and could be appealing to the casual SDCC attendee IF he comes with regular hands and full mask head. I'll try to get a couple because its a neat set and I like the idea someone on Facebook had of giving the burger/soda hands to Deadpool.

Got my LCS sets from Luke today. I didn't notice it before but all of the Predators in the LCS wave are the clear versions. It might have been nice to see one of the new Lost Tribe from the TRU wave in one of the LCS sets. But I understand packing the 4 Lost Tribe figures together for TRU.

So wait, Series 5 is a TRU exclusive? Is it going to be all new figures or a repack situation like the first Aliens TRU series?

Not all the 2-packs were done by movie. Blaine/Shaman Predator set from series 2 mixed the source movies and was packaged as Predator 2. The Berserker/Shaman set from TRU series 2 is the same, as is the Water Emerge/Cloaked Warrior set from TRU series 3. Also the pairing of 2 human figures seemed to work just fine for the Alien line. And that series of films didn't have as many different "monster" characters as the Predator films.

A "Best Of" series would most likely take the place of a regular wave. If there wasn't anything new or interesting to get me to need them for my collection, as a collector of this line from day 1 I'd probably pass. I don't know if the line can afford that this deep into it.

I'm sure you've all seen the image in the last few days. Where there should be a picture is now a warning from Photobucket that your 3rd party hosting has been disabled and if you want to continue you have to pay $399 a year. The kicker is they didn't give anyone any warning. Just flipped the switch and waved a digital middle finger at the world. I've had an account with Photobucket since 2006, disabled Ad-Blocker on their site (depsite their ads being annoying as hell) and recommended them to anyone asking about picture hosting. Not any more. I'll be downloading all my pics and moving to another hosting site soon. Imgur is the current front runner but I haven't made a decision yet. I'm also looking into my own website where I can host my pictures on my terms.

Found the TRU set after work today. They were in the regular aisle with the rest of the PotC toys, but the peg was literally right under another shelf, half hidden by the big pirate ships. I almost missed these but found what looked like a single case. I only grabbed one of the exclusive two-packs for now. I want to see if I can use Lesaro for any of Luke's stickers before getting any more. A Ghost Shark army would be pretty cool.

I got out of work early and hit the closest TRU to my house. After a little searching I found all three sets. The Stalker has to be my favorite so far. I LOVE that helmet design. Can't wait to get my set from Luke's to compliment these guys.

Can't help you with the case order as they sometimes get mixed up in transit. But here is the case breakdown. Hawkins 1 per case 2 per case - Mac, Cloaked City Predator, Keyes, Noland 3 per case - Berserker Predator, Shaman Predator, Cloaked Jungle Predator

Box set - Gladiator Thor, Bruce Banner, Hela, Loki That leaves 4 characters and 8 figures left. Grandmaster and Skurge are confirmed - so 2 characters and 6 figures left. Valkyrie has got to fit in there somewhere - so 1 character and 5 figures left. Gladiator Hulk is a DUH! figure - so 1 character and 4 figures left. Odin is a possibility - 0 characters and 3 figures left. Thor pre-gladiator? - 0 characters and 2 figures left Civilian Loki? - 0 characters and 1 figure left Civilian Thor? - 0 characters and 0 figures left I'd like to leave room to swap in Heimdal for either Valkyrie or Odin but just because I love Idris Elba. I don't think we'll get him even though his new look is pretty sweet. Thor, Hulk are sure bets to be shared, possibly with Valkyrie or Hela and Skurge. Assuming 3 2-packs at each retailer I come up with this mix. Thor pre-gladiator / Gladiator Hulk (shared) Valkyrie/Hela / Skurge (shared) Grandmaster / Civilian Thor Civilian Loki / Odin But if there are 4 2-packs per retailer then I got nuthin'. I can't make the mix work without a LOT of sharing. And if the box set figures are exclusive to LCS that makes it even harder. Hopefully we'll see something soon so all this speculation can end and we can start full tilt into "UGH not THAT retailer! Its going to be IMPOSSIBLE to get all the figures!" mode.

He's still sitting on 20-35 of the first three waves, plus TRU and blind bag sets. Not sure how someone could afford that much inventory and not have a wholesale account. But whatever. To each their own. I'm just excited to get these in my hands along with the TRU wave so I can finally have a nice set of the Lost Tribe that isn't $25 a piece and in the 7" scale.

I considered getting one of 3A's Iron Man figures. But I don't like the style enough to pay the price for one.

Are we certain its a Spider-Man Homecomig set? Could be PotC, Watchmen, GotG2, Thor Ragnarok...

Guess I'm making a TRU run this weekend.

EDIT: Disregard. I did the homework and answered my own question.

I'm not having any problem getting the Hulkbuster helmet to close on mine. I've popped the head off and on and opened it several times. Seems okay to me.

My two cents, if you want super articulation that allows squats/crouches/etc then you're collecting the wrong line.

I forget, is TRU getting exclusives for Series 4? I'd be ok with buying a few more Pred hounds if it got us more humans.
