I don't get it either, but apparently the guy that has the copyright on it has caused problems with Watchmen merch in the past (the Hot Toys Comedian didn't have the smiley for this reason, just a yellow circle button same as Mattel's recent figure). I think companies just don't want the hassle so they leave it off. If it wasn't such an iconic symbol for the property I'd be okay with it. But it is and its disappointing that we can't get it because of legal complications.

Yeah the smiley face button is its own IP and they are known to be dicks about the license. That's why most merch in the U.S. doesn't have it on the figure. I think the U.K. might be different though, not that it affects us here in the States.

Just received my second SDCC set and I don't notice any QC issues. The white of Spidey's eyes looks good and I can't see any lines under them. Guess I either got lucky or my own eyes are out of whack.

Its not a big deal Zach. They sometimes limit the quantity on their exclusives. I honestly wasn't expecting the second order to go through. I got enough extra 'mate fodder in each order to get the free shipping. And I get Rewards points so its all good.

I have a second SDCC Homecoming set coming today. TRU seems to be only limiting it to 1 per order and not 1 per customer. I haven't had a chance to check my other set yet but I'll post if I have any issues.

I placed a second order for the Spider-man Homecoming set and it shipped (got my first order yesterday). So it doesn't look like they are limiting the number of times you can order one, just only one per order.

This is just like that Superman comic some guy had done for his kids birthday party. A private, never to be released to the general public item that was produced as a gift. If collectors are upset that they weren't made aware of it or have ready access to it then they need to check their priviledge. Honestly I'm surprised it took this long for Geppi to get a Minimate. Though he doesn't have the best of reputations in the industry, if what gets reported is true.

Those gravestones will look great with the upcoming Beetlejuice Minimates.

I'm taking a good hard look at what I'm collecting. I realized I have too many minor variations of certain characters that I really don't need (Cap, Thor, Black Widow) As much as I'd like to be a completist with some lines I just don't have the space to enjoy them all. I'm sooo tempted by Gladiator Hulk but I think I'm going to pass. Same with the two Thors and Loki. I have good classic MCU versions of those guys and don't really need another variation. I AM going to get Valkyrie and Hela because they both look gorgeous. I'll be looking at the Justice League figures for Cyborg, Aquaman and Flash. The Trinity aren't different enough for me to justify getting them. Still waiting on BvS Wonder Woman to ship. Sideshow's Mythos Obi-wan made my day when it was revealed. I have a kit-bashed one that has been sitting on my workbench for a couple years now waiting on me to finish it. I have the Ewan head on it so I'll just take that head and put it on the SSC figure. I have the two new Iron Man figures coming already. Retro Bones and Shades. Should be here next week. I'm torn on the two RotJ Lukes. On the one hand I want the Endor gear but I don't like that headsculpt. The gritted teeth just doesn't work for me. But I'll probably want it to go with Endor Leia, which my wife wants. I like the final duel Luke better though so I might get that one and try to get the Endor gear on the aftermarket. I took a long look at the Quantum Mechanix booth and their 1/6 figures. The TNG lineup looks great. I was told the women are in development with Crusher coming soon. Her first prototype wasn't up to snuff to show but she's definitely in the works. And their Justified Raylan Givens figure looks awesome! I hope they can get a Boyd out as well. I know they'd like to. Jayne and Zoe from Firefly are solid buys from me too.

I think its been brought up, but I'd like to see a King Willie from Predator 2. He wasn't a huge part of the movie but he's got a great look and would add some diversity to the line. But the other detectives I think are more important. Leona and Danny with the last two Lost Tribe Predators and I'd be happy. LOVE that we're getting Nikolai from Predators. That actor makes me smile. He only does small parts like this but I really like that guy a lot. We just need Stans (Walton Goggins) and Mombassa and that cast is complete (aside from the Tracker and Classic Predators). I can make a Mombassa using the Cottonmouth from the Luke Cage set. But Stans... man I need a Walton Goggins Minimate. Stans/Tracker and Mombassa/Classic Predator and we're done with this movie.

Yeah I got the hints that were given and assumed it would be announced. Since it wasn't I thought it got scrapped. Now I know. Whenever I'm at a show with DST, ALWAYS ask Zack what he has in his pockets.

I wanted to stop by the booth and say hello but we were only there for a few hours and my wife had other priorities. So many things I wish I'd been able to do and didn't. You wouldn't happen to still have them would you? If so maybe Shane could do a giveaway?
