  1. Got a super fast reply from DST customer service and a replacement is on the way.
  2. I'm on the lookout for the TRU set from this wave if anyone finds an extra.
  3. Something that just occurred to me that we should take into consideration. Zach has said that DST doesn't get licenses just to do Minimates. So we need to take into account what other DST product would be logical for the licenses. Banks and bottle openers are pretty wide open for DST but action figures other than Minimates could be a hurdle for some of the licenses mentioned. For example, I can't recall who exactly has the action figure license for Mortal Kombat (Jakks Pacific maybe?) but if they have the 7" Select scale tied up then it could be a problem. Same with PVC statues. Selects and the PVC statues seem to be a big part of what DST does (aside from Minimates of course). I'd speculate that if they can't get the license for either one of those products it might not be worth it to them. Just based on previous comments about other licenses. Or course I could be totally wrong about that too. Aliens and Predator are two big licenses that don't have either Selects or statues from DST. Just banks, bottle openers and Mini/Vinimates.
  4. In the movie Dillon's hat stands up higher. It has a fresher, starched, out of the box look like its brand new and hasn't seen any action. So it sitting higher on Dillon's head kinda works. But Hawkins' hat is beat up and softer, clearly he's been wearing it a while so it fits his head better.
  5. Hey Zach! What is the email address for customer service? I have a broken tab on one of the rifle rack clips in my specialty APC. I tried going through the Contact Us page on the website but the Captcha thing is acting up and won't let me send in my request. Is Kelsey still the one handling these things? I have her email still from the last time I had an issue.
  6. Can anyone tell me if the red color of Santa and Santa Jack match? I want to put together a regular Santa figure and these two figures bashed together would be perfect.
  7. Honestly, Zach photographing toys on the sidewalk isn't even close to the strangest thing happening on New York's city streets.
  8. The Daredevil set has been "in store pickup" since they first listed it I believe. The Jessica Jones set hasn't been in stock at all that I've seen.
  9. The 3rd set just came out a few weeks ago. Set #4 is scheduled for January I believe. So we're still a bit out from the release. Can't wait for it though. Some great figures in this set.
  10. Ok, after one goof recipients info has been sent out to everyone. If there are any priblems or questions hit me up. In the meantime, have fun!
  11. Last call. If you want to participate get me your info before sunrise on the west coast. I'll be matching up names and sending out info at some point tomorrow, preferably before the tryptophan kicks in. If you sent in your info and did NOT receive a "Got it" confirmation reply let me know.
  12. Like Team Cap / Team Iron Man shelves? I snagged the 3A Halo Master Chief from BBTS for $140 as part of their Black Friday sale. Been eyeing that figure for a while but with the bad reviews couldn't justify the price. But for $100 off retail I was sold. Tempted to get the Carter for that price as well but I'm going to pass on it for now.
  13. Just a couple days left to get in on this if you're interested.
  14. Heh heh heh ... jumped 69
  15. Ok. Like I said, not a deal breaker. Will these be available through retailers like Luke's or just the DST store?
  16. Everyone that has sent me their info should have received a "Got it" reply. If not, let me know.
  17. Are these waist support pieces made of a little firmer material? Most of the ones I have, the waist piece is soft plastic and the figure droops. Not a dealbreaker as there are lots of other cool pieces in this assortment I want. But a nice solid waist stand would be good.
  18. The problem is that its on broadcast TV, essentially public television (meaning no one has to pay to receive the signal). If AoS was on basic cable it would be a different show. They could go into the darker subject matter and really get in depth with the characters. But on broadcast TV they have to appeal to the widest audience possible, and thus the show is "bland" and watered down for mass consumption. AoS has good bones and a great concept. Clark Gregg is brilliant as Coulson but he's gone from cool, mysterious government agent to leading man and that's just not who the character started out as. Unfortunately broadcast TV viewers (according to network execs) aren't interested unless its stereotyped characters and "creature of the week" plotlines. And before anyone points to the DC shows as being successful on broadcast TV, Supergirl didn't cut it on one of the Big Three. The CW is a niche network with 10 hours of programming a week and might as well be a basic cable station. And they know how to market their programming to their core audience, which skews a LOT younger than the Big Three. You won't get that kind of marketed programming from any of the major networks, no matter how hard they try. We started watching Timeless, a "genre" sci-fi series and even though its been engaging so far in the first few episodes, I can already see it developing into a formulaic "creature of the week" show. Its the same thing with AoS and unfortunately will probably be the same for Inhumans. Broadcast TV just isn't the place for great genre television. At least great genre television that makes tons of money, which the major networks need to keep going. That's why the Netflix shows, GoT, etc do so well. They're paid for already by subscribers so they can loosen the reins a bit and really tell great stories with fully fleshed out characters. Just imagine AoS on an FX or AMC (corporate red tape not being an issue). Man what a show it could have been. But its a mainstream show on a major network and that's most likely what Inhumans will end up being too. But at least we can say we got an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Inhumans series. Neither would have happened 10 years ago.
  19. Posting this again so folks can at least see if any stores around them have ANY Minimates. Click the "Find at a store" blue banner and follow the instructions. https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/diamond-select-toys-marvel-animated-minimates/ID=prod6285567-product And before anyone says "but it won't tell you which ones they have" its better than driving all over town. This way you can target the stores that are carrying them and have some in stock.
