Man for me I guess I kinda go with the flavor of the week. Growing up it was Star Wars (of course) then GIJoe, Transformers, Lego, always wanted a Voltron (y'know the metal one with the seperate lions that joined to make Voltron, wicked cool). I got rid of all my stuff when I hit mid 20's and get heavy into comics (so says my collection of 10,000). Then early 30's I got into motorcycles. My latest love is an'04 Harley fatboy (pic attached, man I love parenthesis). Minis I kind of fell into as I only wanted the Iron Man figs my favorite superhero. The rest is infamy I guees, I stick with Minis. FOR NOW!!! Muah HAh hah HAhhh!!!

That's pretty cool. Maybe someday I'll have the time, patience, oh and a handful of knowledge on how the hell to do something like that.

Let me ask you this. What other kinds of toys do the Targets that haven't stocked the Mates have on their shelves? Many retail locations have an inventory that is partially controlled by an (creative enough) inventory person. If they've never had mates on the shelf, why would they order them in? Or, if they've sold through a lot of them, they will probably order a bunch more. Stores are best looked as a clearing house. If it doesn't move or hasn't moved or the manager doesn't think it will move, they probably won't bring it in. Especially a nich toy like the Mates. It's not like we're talking about Lego or Star Wars. Does that make more sense? Maybe if the stores that aren't carrying them get enough requests for them they might bring them in.

I feel compelled to make a comment, but, I, can't, think.... Seriously I think we should appreciate anything we can get out of the guy. He doesn't have any obligation to tell us a thing and I bet you're right in he's probably sitting in front of the tv laptop on one tv tray, meatloaf tv dinner on the other. I work for a manufacturer and employees often get less information about new product than he gave, sarcasm or not. Though he probably should have added a humor tag...

Ok having nothing to do with gaming consoles (can you say addictive personality leading to job loss?) I read about a game Line Rider. It's pretty simple, which is sometimes more captivating than anything out there. You can download it for free and basically you "draw" a track for a little guy to go sleading down. Anyone else try it yet?

I picked up serieas 12 at my lcs today including the Sentry variant. The tampo (that word scares me too close to tampon but whatever) on the fron is fixed, but as you've heard it doesn't go around the side of the body. Let me know if I should post pics. Also I pitched my DOFP Wolverine as I just couldn't fix the leg so back in the hunt!

Let me first say I'm not a fanboy, I don't get all a twitter over meeting (insert your favorite actor/actress here), however having been a comic fan for years, something about Stan Lee strikes me as special. Wait I did this problem in Math class in 4th grade. Two boats leave a dock travelling in opposite directions. Boat A is travelling at a snails crawl, and boat B is going half that fast. At what point will the space time continuum tear in half, causing both boats to occupy the same space, thus destroying eachother in a blast of anti-matter?

I just wanted Iroan Man. And no I'm not going to get the "rare Variant limited edition Stealth Iron Man". Well ok just the Marvel ones. Ok I'll get the DC ones too but just the figures not the vehicles too. Ok LOTR was kinda cool I guess I'll get those, but not the Streetfighter ones, well maybe just one of each, but who cares about the Kiss ones, oh an auction with all four? OOOOOH all of the Star Trek in one auction....

I hate to complain (I know I know then shut up right?!) but I'd rather drink from Hugh Hefners colostomy bag than buy these cereal mates. I'll end up buying them as I have absolutely no control over myself when I start collecting something, but really they have what relevance to the rest of the line? Yeah he's mending with some plastic model glue, the 'ball' that inserts into the leg broke right off, so if the glue holds at least you won't be able to notice. Still kinda frustrating I drove all the way to Long Beach and dropped $20 bones. Oh well he still looks cool. No truth to LA having series 12 though.

Anybody want a $20 chae DOFP Wolverine with a busted leg right out of the box?!
