  1. Sorry if it wasn't clear, I understand what you did. Most minimate heads are bare plastic with a tampo applied, some are painted a color with a tampo applied over that. This appears to be the case with the animated Enchantress head but maybe I'm not seeing it right.
  2. I was actually referring to the shading on the Enchantress chest block used for Sersi. I do agree on the face though, it can certainly pass for a comic Enchantress. That head is painted instead of being printed on the correct color, right? I think in person that might bug me.
  3. My dislike of the shading on the animated minimates aside that looks very good.
  4. Besides the website, do you think finishing the process is going to help? Walgreens doesn't seem to have a problem getting product to the pegs (embargo issues aside), they have an issue with having open pegs because old product doesn't move. It's the same thing Target and Wal-mart struggle with just more noticeable because of limited space in the store, and it happens with all of their collector lines. If retail giants haven't figured this out I'm not hopeful Walgreens is going to be able to. Maybe the website will make this irrelevant though.
  5. I have to agree, larger sets at a higher price are unlikely to be the solution.
  6. Great, now you know the All-New All-Different 1,000,000 BC Avengers are going to be a thing. Pretty sure it's just a "cool" (or ridiculous) title.
  7. I would take a "Mechanic" Tony Stark with a hoodie but otherwise I'm good.
  8. With Titans looking like garbage, the figures looking mediocre, and no details on how they will be offered there's no way I'm giving them my money.
  9. But they have to know the chances of that being the case are small. I appreciate them taking a risk but why do it on such a bad bet?
  10. All of this is true but we knew someone had picked this wave up before SDCC, we just didn't know it was Walgreens.
  11. I'm not exactly freaking out but I can't remember the last SDCC where there wasn't at least one minimate reveal I was excited about. One new bizarre Marvel comic wave and some animated stuff doesn't reassure me much . I understand DST is in a tough spot with TRU closing so I shouldn't be surprised but it's still disappointing.
  12. Disney Store exclusives happened in the past, since we're not still getting them we could probably assume they aren't interested. They were available online but if I remember correctly they sold out quickly.
  13. Didn't the BC Avengers first show up a year ago and are back again?
  14. Maybe Mnemosis meant to post this? https://marvelousnews.com/23-23530 The animated minimates start at 69. I hate that Marvelous News seems to have gotten rid of gallery view.
  15. Despite my lack of interest I have to admit the BC Avengers look good and seem to be very well designed. That's a lot of new parts that don't have much chance of being reused.
  16. A thought: Since there are packaged samples of the BC Avengers wouldn't that suggest this wave was in the works for Walgreens before TRU closed?
  17. BC Avengers seems like an odd choice that we're going to be citing for a long time. I guess I thought fandom's response to the concept was mostly a collective eyeroll. The individual minimates don't look too bad though.
  18. There is no product from the new films I would buy so I can't get too excited about seeing figures.
  19. I'd still hope that at least wave 76 would be out now but I'll save the freaking out until Sunday.
  20. Those look good, better than the Justice League figures they recently showed. May 2019 is a long way off though and I've lost all confidence in DCC.
  21. B&N would help DST keep their streak of getting exclusive product into dying retailers alive.
  22. Whenever the "colorful" thing is brought up I think it says more about the commenter's biases than the product. I'd argue that those civilians and alter egos make minimates just as unique as any of their other strengths. My MCU collection is much more extensive because of it. Also, I think I have to defend MB figures a little. Claiming there's "no comparison" to minimates is pushing things a little. The articulation is very similar. The amount of detail, sculpted and tampos, is impressive. If you look at the properties you can directly compare MB has done an excellent job, I'd take their Star Trek and Turtles product over DST's if I had to pick one. They have a different approach but they're still very good little action figures.
  23. While we had determined this would be too small for minimates when it came up before it was $10 at Wal-mart today so I thought I'd pick it up and find a use for it. Minimates are definitely too tall, I tried Drax and he would not fit without crouching. MB Beast Man fit without much extra room and would not fit if he was on a plate for a base. I don't think one of the Call of Duty or Destiny figures would fit. A Lego minifigure on a base fit just fine. Anyone try the Batcave yet? I saw it on sale at Target.
