There was long LONG ago (2002?) a contest. In this contest various people (AACC members) got blank 3" mates They used these mates to do various "custom" designs on In true old fashioned AA style, no one ever won and the contest fell into the void A few of these have surfaced since, someone on here got the one Nelson X (AA Staffer) did as a sample for the contest. (My memory is hazy, but Im sure someone else as old as me can back me up)

Oh im not lost, just misplaced and troubled. I still exist, and shockingly Rad even saw me in the flesh not long back. As Rad has stated on my behalf, when the time is right, ill make everything right with people On topic, those test shots are pretty cool

Things will continue forever in some form or another, the verse (or at least the community) has survived for years, from the noisy evil shit that was the AA boards to the IP address forum to this place, even this place is a world of difference to what it once was (remember when the community had ONE minimates section and a customs area full of bitter trekkies?), even if minimates die id imagine this place would become Minifigure Multiverse (which its already showing signs of) and the world will continue as ever. Hell I havent bought a mate in nearly two years and i still lurk!

The shitty ape covers are one of those sales boosting (apparently) things they do sometimes to tie in with toher shit just on a cover basis (zombies, retro etc are past examples). Will be a shame to see this book die, I like Cap and I like Paul, any book that can boast Dracula and Doom on the Moon deserves to never die (honestly they still print shit like Pet Avengers and 10000001 Dark Reign tie ins but this gets canned, bah)
