  1. In college I enjoyed sitting around with friends, watching Spongebob and... eating sandwiches. Fun show, but I'll pass. Well, might pick up that Sandy. I'm interested to see how the helmet works. So we're still waiting to see the new license boxset, Marvel 62, and the valiant set now?
  2. Yeah, it'd be very disappointing to not get at least Ant-Man and Yellowjacket.
  3. Domino was first released in the earlier X-Force boxset with Cable, Feral, and Deadpool. Unless you're considering that one Copycat.
  4. Very fun seeing what everyone is in to. Pavement- Slanted and Enchanted Weezer- Blue Album Amiina- Kurr Bright Eyes- I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning Nolan Batman Trilogy (Yes, technically three separate albums, but they make one nice, cohesive album. Pretty cool. And they're nice to listen to while reading at night.) (Some worthy mentions: Takk... by Sigur Ros, Ultima II Massage by Tobacco, and Kind of Blue by Miles Davis.)
  5. Is it more or less ridiculous for Spidey to get beaten by a large green barbed dong? I just don't know. But it's fun seeing what everyone first comics were. Definitely deserves its own thread.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Fwoosheyman. These look really cool. Especially that beautiful, beautiful Ronan.
  7. I would absolutely love a Prometheus set. I'm not sure that's it, but I would love it. I think YB's Comic Book Men guess (and the reasoning behind it) is pretty darn solid.

    TRU 19

I just want this Sunspot: and this Siryn: Not sure they're even part of the same team, but if we got them, I'd be satisfied if we never got another 90's X-Force member again (I'd still like to finish my Kyle/Yost team, however - Wolfsbane minimum, Vanisher/Elixir/Domino best-case). But that's me. Those are both Capullo versions. But if we get THEM, not having Warpath and the right version of Feral would kind of sting. Add Stryfe and Gideon and there's your wave. Sunspot can be the variant to the Liefeld version while Warpath can just include the quick switch parts. Siryn looked more or less the same in both renditions. If you're REALLY feeling cheeky, one Sunspot could come with Gideon, the other? Krule.Absolutely this right here.
  9. I've been boycotting this license because of blind bags since long before this article. I think that review did a good job of pointing out how good the figures look and that they have very good play value. But, seriously, blind bags suck and are a very real turn off. This line looks very nice, and I've been tempted to grab the TRU arts, but I just can't. I know I'll want all of them eventually, and I just can't do blind bags. DST actually lost a built-in customer on this, so I think it's a perfectly fair thing to point out in a review.

DnA GotG and 90's X-Factor will always be at the top of my want list and will remain there until we've gotten both teams complete. I'd love to see at least one X-Force incarnation completed too.
  11. I was hoping this set would hit before Christmas. My little brother loved X-Force when we were kids, and I was hoping to be able to give him these'mates. Ah well. Looking forward to seeing them in January.
  12. Like you said, a one line explanation would do it.
  13. I don't know. With HYDRA going after so many weapons, etc, I'm not sure why someone in SHIELD wouldn't at least check on the status of one of the most powerful known weapons on the planet. Just to see. The idea that the current users did a mind wipe could explain it. At any rate, I'm hoping A2 explains some of this.
  14. Sure, it makes sense that HYDRA would go after it, as they clearly did, but if it were as powerful as the tesseract, I would have thought we'd see Coulson and Co. searching for it. Even if the scepter contains the mind gem, despite it's abilities making sense, it does seem kind of like it was a retcon. Up through all current MCU films, it has never been referenced or hinted at on screen as one of the gems the way the others have. Although, that could also just be part of a it-was-in-front-of-you-the-whole-time thing. One thing I definitely don't like is that Iron Man's arc reactor apparently made him immune to at least one infinity stone.
  15. I got this set in the mail yesterday. (It apparently takes TRU.com several days to update an online account to show an item has shipped.) Overall, it's a good set with a few minor problems. Captain America initially looks cool, but those MK42 arms really restrict movement, and the paint apps on the shield are very sloppy. Otherwise, it's a cool figure. Oh, I really like his hairpiece. It suits him very well. Is that the same piece that was used on the earlier NOW! Hulk? Speaking of... Hulk is very cool, but have two complaints. One is the design of his belt/waist area. It's got a yellow circle that falls right on the seam. That drives me crazy. They don't sit smoothly together, and it just makes me twitch. The second problem is the waist peg. Way, way, way too short. Hulk and Thanos keep falling apart. Those two falling apart was the only complaint my five year old had with the set. Thanos, aside from the waist thing, is pretty amazing. The helmet is slightly off, but once you get it pried off, you can sit it slightly higher on his head, and it looks fine IMO. The proportions on Thanos are just right, and the overall effect is that I think aesthetically he might be my favorite bulked up Minimate. Thane is Thane. There is much to be said for vanilla 'mates.
  16. Mobile TRU is horrid. I was checking the status of my pre-ordered set the other day and got to take a survey about the website. Low marks. Anyway, has anyone that ordered this online actually had their sets ship? Mine is still just listed as in stock.
