  1. Drgbn's review pretty much covers everything I could say. These DC minis are pretty cool. I'm still not too sure about the new head/masks (like Batman)...I like the old masks better, but I guess they look ok. My only other gripe is that Star Sapphire looks like Miss Piggy to me. They need a sculpt that is different than the males, paint apps don't seem to really do it. Probably a sculpt with a waist that is a bit thinner would do the trick. But they've been making the female characters this way from the start, so nothing new there.
  2. Just had to say "Wow!". Can't believe you managed to get his gun barrels and everything on there. That's got to be my favorite custom you've done! What's next, Bronze Tiger's original costume?! In case anyone missed it: http://www.boydstep.com/minimates/dc/ddsht.html
  3. To hop on the visually deficient bandwagon..."me too!".
  4. Wave 13 pack came in the mail yesterday from Cornerstorecomics. I'm West Coast. I guess Wave 12 will be later?
  5. Whoa, kudos to you! The new look on your site is great!
  6. Legion of DOOM!! Yay! They are some of my favorite villains of all time. So now I know what you had planned when you menitoned old Brainiac. They all look great, but if I had to choose some favorites...I'd say Cheetah turned out amazing. Gorilla Grodd must've taken alot of time...but the most surprising to me was Toyman! I always forget about him since he didn't appear that often. All cool customs! Hey, looks like you're using some sort of CMS for your site now. Are you using Drupal? I really need to update my own site when I get time.
  7. Beast's hair/Beard combo reminds me of High Father (DC/Jack Kirby). Not too sure about this set, I'm a classics guy. I'll probably be picking up a few of them though.
  8. Wow, are these $6.95? If they are $5.95, then the figures would end up costing less than the original set! It's sorta cool, but I'm really tired of being burned by paying collector prices. I haven't even bought the Spider-Woman I'm missing, because, yeah, it looks like she will probably be re-released at some point.
  9. If someone etches "Minimate" on a TRU bathroom stall, I'd consider myself lucky.
  10. Bingo! Logan nails it! You're up. More info on Black Spider here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Spider
  11. hint two: His supervillain name is: B**** S*****
  12. I guess Wolverine, because he's been in just about everything.
  13. mwahaha.... "Who was Eric Needham?"
  14. Hulk changes sizes way too much. Whenever Thing and Hulk square off they are almost always the same size. I guess I would make Thing the same size as the Hulk. Even though he isn't that much taller than the rest of the F4. Hmm.
  15. The wikipedia knows...mwahahaha....couldn't remember it on my own. I'll let someone else answer though.
  16. Hmm, I kinda like Kingpin when he was shorter but wide so I'd say 'nay' on Kingpin like how Frank Miller originally drew him. Juggernaut and Hulk are no-brainers though. Maybe Thing and Rhino should be added? Definitely, Thanos, definitely, yeahhh. I buy my underwear at K-mart.
  17. Boyd knocks it out of the park, you're up. On March 1993, Swamp Thing #129, Hellblazer #63, and The Sandman #47, added the "Vertigo" title to their cover.
  18. EDIT: Oops, looks like three titles were released under the Vertigo banner in the same month. One source claimed one of these titles was first but it's hard to verify that. I'll change the question to: What three titles first fell under the Vertigo umbrella? noskill got "Sandman" correct, name two more...
  19. What was the first title under DC Comic's Vertigo umbrella? (*question changed below)
