  1. Really nice work. What hairpiece is that on Dazzler?
  2. Me/ Was it me? It was me right? Awesome custom and great solution to the tail! I think SG is at the top of the "Why haven't I made this yet?" list of customs.
  3. You can get them from Future Marty Mcfly or John Connor
  4. Time to remember what the best way to look at all my customs for the year was again!
  5. Well, tomorrow I start a new job. It's nothing I'm excited to be doing but it pays decent enough and I should be able to do what I love on the side. And it's not till the end of 2013, but I'm sure I'll be spending most of 2012 planning my wedding. Fun times ahead.
  6. Good news everyone, they liked their presents! And it sounds like I might be making a full The Room set one day. So what exactly did my brother like? Why The Butcher and Mother's Milk from The Boys. If you're familiar with the comic, I made Wee Hughie and The Homelander for him last year, and forgot to take pictures. If you're not familiar with the comic, people in civilian clothes, how 'bout that?
  7. Oh hi Minimates, this year I'm actually going to post my Christmas customs! First up, for my brother's wife, if Johhny from the hit film The Room! Thank you guys so much for the input on the likeness, it was a big help. But I still felt like something was missing.... Oh there we go! Next up are customs for my brother, they'll be posted when there's no chance of him seeing them before he gets them. Merry Christmas HAAAAAWW!
  8. Have a merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, Kwazy Kwanzaa, a tip-top Tet, and a solemn & dignified Ramadan.
  9. Really nailed the likeness on this one, and great use of parts. I gotta know though, can his elbows still bend?
  10. I think it's safe to say the answer to the question is Peter Jackson.
  11. Yeah, hair bugs me a bit, but I can only work with what I got, so it's this or Whiplash's And pouting how? Got a Minimate with an example?
  12. Thanks for the tips, haw! I've got a couple variations now... Clockwise starting from upper left 1: Original 2: Thicker Eyebrow, Changed chin lines, added butt-chin 3: 2+flipped lower lip line 4: Thinner eyebrows, cleaned up eyes, stronger cheekbones, redefined chin lines, dot for butt chin. redefined lower lip line. I'm leaning towards 4, but it might be because it's what I did the most work to.
  13. You got a major paint screw-up there. But in general, I'm not a fan of the figure. The mask is just too thick and I don't like the big-collar solution.
  14. Oh hai Minimates, I need your help. For christmas I am giving my brother's wife a custom Minimate of famed actor, writer, and director, Tommy Wiseau in his breakout roll as Johnny in The Room. I could call it done, but I feel like I don't quite have the likeness just yet, so I wanted to get some opinions on what I could change. If you haven't seen the movie, go watch it. And once you've done that, here's some reference pictures Reference 1 (main image used) Reference 2 Reference 3 And here's my custom as-is: And please, tear it apart, say what needs to be changed, make photoshops that show what you think I should do. Likeness is everything for this custom, so I need it right and I need it right before Christmas Eve. Thanks! Hi Doggy.
  15. Must steal recipe. Also, just wanna say that the way you're presenting your customs now is very impressive.
  16. O_o I think I've been charging too little for commissions in the past... EDITL Guess I'll be helpful 1. See above. 2. Theres actually a thread about rebuilding the Batcave going on in the DC section - http://www.minimatemultiverse.com/index.php?showtopic=10400 3. check your local comic stores, sometimes they'll be discounted, also Toys R Us puts some on clearance sometimes. And of course there's also http://www.lukestoystore.com, Ebay, and the Flea Market board on this site. 4. I would mostly use a DC Direct Robin with new hair and short feet for Damien Wayne, repainted of course. And for Red Hood there are a number of jackets and masks that could be used. Have you seen the Database? - http://www.minimatedatabase.com/default.php
  17. Will Kent Law ever be brought to justice?
  18. Luke, every one of those is amazing. But Uncle Les is the bee's knees.
  19. jayrocks2001 on XBL, I only really play Left 4 Dead 2, and that's only really when I've decided I can afford a couple months of XBL. Sure do love that XBL charges for name changes.
  20. I would like this to be a big project. There are so many great designs in these games. There'll be a bit of a pause after these two while I get some parts, also Christmas.
  21. Thanks again for the comments all! I actually do want to credit a brush for the painting, as I've found what is now my favorite tiny detail brush found in a cheap $4.99 Hobby Lobby brand 6-brush set. Really fantastic. I will say that for now, these customs are mine. In the future, when they're more of a full set, maybe, just MAYBE they'll go for sale. You'll hear it here if they do. So....who's next?
  22. Baghead - What did Child of Dreams Two-Face look like? I couldn't find a pic. He didn't have hair only on his scarred side did he? The rest - Thanks for the comments! More? Good idea! I mentioned Two-Face wasn't the most memorable part of the game for me. No, that'd be the Penguin! The Penguin was awesome in Arkham City, from his insane museum, the glass bottle monocle embedded in his face, his cockney accent, and the fact that he repeatedly calls Batman a wanker! I painted a smiling face first, but gave him a more serious expression when it didn't come out how I liked. Might change it again later. Oh, and an umbrella, I need an umbrella.
