There is an older PC game series called Thief, and dishonored feels like the spiritual successor to that, in fact I believe the lead designer was the same for both. Think of it as Bioshock feeling like a newer version of System Shock. T.

Having to defend our thoughts/posts etc is exactly what happens to staff everytime we ask people to "get back on topic" or to "perhaps calm down a little". I go through the long process of justifying my actions in public because I want to be transparent and show that when we MOD we do it for the good of the board not because we feel the need to pick on someone. Heck there are dozens of members that have told me I'm picking on them at one time or the other over the years,it's part of the job. The complaint was because you changed your sig to "F.U.T.D.T." which was taken as and insult towards me by a member. I deleted it and replaced it with "Is very close to being told to go sit on the naughty step!" which was a slightly tongue in cheek warning that insulting other members, let alone staff is a good way to earn yourself a suspension. Once again go read the Guidelines,you've been here long enough to know that we have the right to do do whatever we feel like with Signatures here but seldom if ever do so without good reason. I have no idea what the heck happened to you recently Matt but you've been here a long time and despite what you think I really do not want to see you talk yourself into a suspension or banning by continual escalation something that started with a trivial comment. I never asked anyone to. I was stating fact. From the moment that issue hit news stands, no one in here said anything for almost 6 months. Why it had to start up a week before trade-readers could catch up was my entire complaint. No one said a word for 5 months and 3 weeks. "Self entitled"? Thanks. Nice. It's a conspiracy... there is a thread that everyone but you can see where we plot to give you spoilers at the last moment possible moment... :tongue: I went back and looked, We talked about this back in October, we tried to resolve it then but nobody goes back over 70+ pages everytime they post in this thread, so it got lost over time. People have said they will try to be careful and that's about as good as you're going to get. You are just going to have to accept that if you are behind you will see spoilers in the walking dead threads, short of putting everyone on MOD preview and having a MOD/ADMIN personally check them for spoilers before publishing them there's nothing we can do about it. It's MGM and we've had it confirmed that the property is either Disney or WB, would be a fun box set though, couple of astronauts a monkey and a spaceship vehicle? Also with all the drama I missed the comments about Jaws, IMO that would make a great box set: Quint, Hooper, Brody and the shark... near perfect 4 pack IMO. T.

Tenime, Everyone here has been respectful to your concerns and said that they would try to keep this thread moderately spoiler free going forward, your post was totally was off point. People here are not going to wait 6 months to discuss something because you cannot keep up to date. If there were regular walking dead spoilers posted in the marvel threads or someone was PMing them to you then you would have a right to complain but you cant complain about walking dead spoilers in a walking dead thread. How many hrs so far? - I put in around 100 and stopped playing late in the summer,so am curious how many you're hitting now? Dishonoured is the game currently clogging up the DVD on my xbox, after a looooooong stint in Borderlands 2. I think if I can find a copy cheaply enough that Far Cry 3 will be next on my playlist. I am taking WF's comments as poking fun and not really trolling... He knows better? I like to think of the end of YR awards as a celebration of all the minimate goodness we had that year and it should be upbeat not nit picking, there are plenty of other threads for that. ( and if there isn't feel free to make one.). As for doing things to pacify DST, it really doesn't happen. What happens is that they do something few toy companies do, they come here and treat us like adults and respect our opinions so we return that courtesy. T. p.s. 250 minmates... The to spoil or not to spoil is something that we go over regularly, in fact it's been hashed out in this thread alone at least twice. My views are that if you don't want to see fish don't go to the Aquarium.( One of the reasons I don't go into the IM3 thread) If you are behind more than 3 months then it's up to you to either catch up or avoid/risk spoilers - they are going to happen. As for levels of spoilers, mentioning someone who has been in the books for 6 months and saying 'I want that character' isn't really a spoiler in my mind, its just a name that will have no context or meaning to those who are not up to date, if they are upset by that then they are being way too sensitive. Saying 'I want a version of a character that is post "specific event"' definitely falls into spoiler territory. Having said that we know there are folks who are behind that read the thread so we should try to keep major spoilers like big plot moments either off the boards or in spoiler tags. It's like most things we post on here, before posting think if you'd have be upset having that moment spoilt for you and then post accordingly. T.
