  1. Is it okay if I change mine to a bald eagle, my lion isn't turning out quite as planned.
  2. I'd like to join in this one too. I'm thinking.... lion!
  3. 1. President Lex - Ok, it wasn't going to last forever, but convincing people he was worthy president was a clever idea to gain more power. 2. Cobra Island - As JP already described, this was a great story. 3. Star Wars - In spite of the quality of the prequels, you have to hand it to the Emperor for pulling the wool over the Jedi's eyes until it was too late to stop him.
  4. Thanks bobafett. I haven't ever used sharpies myself, and the fact that a white one exists intrigues me greatly, so sorry can't help you on that one. Sounds good though, the Nightwing head would be a good match with a little modification. The hair is perfect for Kyle, I wish I'd had it when I was doing my custom.
  5. Me too, I thought it was some kind of contest. I actually have some of these guns, but I have thinned the handle down on mine so they fit into Minimates hands. Scalewise, they're maybe a tiny bit small, but it's barely noticeable. Most Lego accessories can fit into a Minimate hand as they come, but it damages the hand if you display them like that for a long time.
  6. I assume by collect you don't mean collect all the figures in the line. I only pick up the odd figure from a few of the lines I ticked.
  7. Ah, you win, mine is only a hundred miles away!
  8. Can't wait for this either, Rorschach looks spot on. I lent my Watchmen TPB to someone last Easter, and I still haven't got it back yet.
  9. Thanks for the pics maxcarnage. I was just going to ask the same question as TBT. Also, does the mortar unfold? The western Minimates aren't really my cup of tea, but I'll hopefully be picking up the BSG 2-pack. Wasn't it supposed to be an AFX exclusive or something like that?
  10. I was also late starting collecting Minimates and picked up a fair bit of the C3 stuff in sales towards its end. Yes, it was flawed in some respects, but it did add a lot of wider appeal to Minimates (I initially bought it to fit with my LEGO Batman stuff, but that soon changed). I think, with the announcement that DCD are 'resting' Minimates (whatever that means) it would be good if C3 was given a second shot, as Minimates have come a long way since then.
  11. Here's mine. Props to whoever designed the Rocky Minimates. I've never seen the films, but still want them just for all the useful new parts. Props to DCD. I know they're not popular of late, but they have given us 7, soon to be 8, waves of fantastic Minimates. Props to everyone on MMMV who has ever traded with me, helped me out with parts I need or complimented my custom attempts. It's appreciated. Props to WW4M, for starting this thread.
  12. I'm going to go with wave 6, it was the first wave I got most of the Minimates from. Mainly, though, because of Leader and Gamma Hulk. As much as I like the newer, detailed Minimates, the earlier stuff was so much fun.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up, I just had a look through and they have some of the Star Trek and SM3 Minimates up there for £5 too, although that's not as good a saving.
  14. That's just brilliant, I like the one on the test bed based on Dr. Doom, nice touch.
  15. I was wondering if these had arrived, glad they survived the trip! The display case seems to work well, to add to display value it could be possible to print out a background and stick it on the back.
  16. It might be that, my initial thoughts were that it could be . I'm not sure, it was a while since I saw the episode. Anyway, thanks for the pics Ivan! I hadn't noticed that they'd redesigned the lab coats before.
  17. Thanks Mattallica. Now I just need to find this guy!
  18. Please could anyone with Mysterio answer a question for me. Is it possible to use a normal Minimate head with his cloak, or will it require significant modification. Thanks!
  19. Great work, I really like the Two-face and Winter Soldier. My hat's off to you if you painted that star on his shoulder by hand!
  20. Yeah, made from 2 torsos stuck together. I put cut-up margarine tub pieces on the front and back and filled in the sides to hide gaps and painted the whole thing, so you wouldn't need to necessarily use blue torsos. Better pic of Plastic Man here and in my Customs thread.
  21. I was just thinking about how to do an Ultimate WW2 Cap myself, but you beat me to it! Really well done, though.
  22. And I lost your respect for punning in the Minimate food thread! I did think it would be n-ice myself. I think they did team up in the Superman/Batman 'Public Enemies' story arc.
  23. This would be quite similar to what I would want for a final wave, although I would choose; Two-face/OYL Robin (Tim Drake) GL Alan Scott/Solomon Grundy Captain Cold/Mr. Freeze Martian Manhunter/Black Canary That should round out the Justice League and JSA more or less, give us an interestingly-themed villain pack and give Batman his sidekick and more villains. It's also a selection that could give us a few interesting accessories and new parts sculpts.
  24. Brilliant! In this picture I'd be interested to see him reach the turkey, since someone considerately put it in the middle of the table. Punbelievable!
