  1. Florida represent! We've won the bragging rights for the most Walgreens! I found them a week ago - if I had thought so many people would have trouble finding them, I would have picked up extras. I was actually pretty happy with my Walgreens experience- I had to drive to a farther store, but they had them out on the shelves at least. The one thing I learned from the Pop Walgreens exclusives is that you should always ask for the manager- they are much more likely to know what they have in their store.
  2. I was able to find a pocket of Walgreens carrying the exclusives when I broadened my search on website locator. They were about 45 minutes from me, while the ones 10 minutes away had nothing, but since there were a lot listed in that area (downtown Orlando) I went for it. I hit up two stores (because I got a scuffed 2099 at the first store ). The first had 2 sets, and the second had 3. Here's some comparison shots with the original versions.
  3. According to the website, only one Walgreens in my area had them, so I called first and asked for the manager. She said she knew what they were and went to check the shelf. She returned and said they only had NFL minimates ? ...I'm just going to wait til Friday
  4. Spider-Man/ElectroAgent Venom/2099 Captain America/Hulk Star-Lord/Groot w/Rocket Raccoon The only overlap with TRU is the basic Spider-Man
  5. I'm curious to see the price variance too, because the Walgreen exclusive Pop figures were actually $2 cheaper than the normal Target/BAM price. As long as there aren't any short-packed packs, I think they'll be relatively easy to find. The short-packing is what made the Pop vinyls nearly impossible to find.
  6. I definitely think I'd be more inclined to buy the minimates if most of the characters were actually made instead of just a few. I collected both the Avengers and the Guardian series partially because I knew I could complete the team. Since this movie doesn't have double the cast, maybe it will seem to cover more ground with the 8 slots. Aren't they supposed to be moving forward with a New Mutants movie?? I assumed that if they did it would be continuing with the new, younger cast additions (possibly without Prof. x) instead of actual New Mutant characters.
  7. Completely agree. Those two packs are must haves for me while the other two are passes.
  8. As much as I want it to be 5 for the Easter egg reason, I'm pretty sure it's 3. When I saw the movie the second time, I deliberately looked for the number and there is a second number on the side which is not on the minimate that looked like a 3.
  9. Macfarlane and Funko have both made zombie Pennys. Plus, there's this: http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/The_Walking_Dead_Life-Size_Statue_Teddy_Bear_GirlSeriously, who would have that in thier house? Saw that on display in comic store once- it was creepishly poking out of the corner of their TWD section. So wrong!!!
  10. Adding on dejonan's list, the second TRU series will have an exclusive Bruce Banner/War Machine, and then the shared sets of Hulkbuster/Rage Hulk, Hulk/Ulysses Klaue.
  11. I'm surprised no one's mentioned Mojo, since he was in an episode of Avengers Assemble - without Spiral, which was just wrong
  12. So discouraged on the blind bags situation. I went to three shops yesterday and only one had them- out of the display box, which nullified the sort order, and all that was left seemed to be the 10 iron Legion drones, the ones I didn't want. The two other shops apparently stopped selling minimates all together because they aren't selling a full case worth. These shops are all an hour away too - the store 15 minutes from me will only get the 4 packs since they can order them individually. Guess I'm stuck paying a premium for opened packs or buying a full case, ugh
  13. Spider-Man Noir from Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors
  14. I get him doing it, because if he didn't I wouldn't have gotten any. I just don't like the idea that the product isn't even on the shelves when they have it, since I'd rather just pick it up then have to ask 5 people about it and spend a half hour waiting in Walgreens. This manager told me he had 20+ of each exclusive in the back when there were only 2 per case of the rarer figures...
  15. Hope these aren't as hard to find as their recent exclusive pop vinyls- the distribution of those figures was a mess. Once I found a store that didn't instantly sell out (none of the stores in my area even got them at all), I had to track down the manager because he had them hidden in the back instead of putting them out on the shelf. Then he would only let me buy one of each and I had to show him my ID so he could write up my info so I wouldn't come back and buy more. Never less, I'm all for more minimates and more retailers, I just hope Walgreens steps it up.
  16. Hooray! Could the Toys'R'Us assortment be hitting stores around that time too?
  17. They came out at comic shops today Forgot to mention that Cable's hair piece is a repaint of the Superior Spider-Man 2.0 Peter hair. I found that interesting - I didn't catch that from looking at the photos
  18. Some extra pictures... the first thing I did was switch Cable to the alternate look, so I didn't get any photos of his initial outfit. He's going straight to the 90's section of my X-Men shelf (which is a good thing!!) since I prefer the previous Cable for my X-Force team.
  19. I didn't remember the alternate Spidey face in EOTE, but flipping back through the story, he uses that look a lot, so it's nice that it was included I only saw the alternate chest once
  20. For any Orlando collectors, Florida Mall and Millenia didn't get them in yet, but Millenia appears to have cleared a spot for them
  21. I scanned the aisles of one of the Orlando TRUs while picking up the lego Rocket Raccoon today, but they didn't have anything minimate-wise. From Zach's comment, I thought Smashmaster's store was just an early fluke...? Or are they "officially" "in the wild" now? I was hoping my store would be a second fluke haha
  22. Am I the only one who can't wait to take off Cable's massive padding/pouches? Really hoping there's something similar to his blue and yellow late 90's X-Men look- like in Apocalype: The Twelve underneathe (like the orginal Cable 'mate, I suppose). I plan on keeping the retro Cable with my X-Force team.
  23. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! If anyone's curious, the shelves are Ikea plate shelves flipped upside down. They have a lip on the top that would block most of a minimate's body, but flipped upside down, they're a narrow, long, and flat shelf that works great. Unless you are worried about the domino effect- but that mainly only happens when I'm trying to adjust one on the top and it falls, creating a waterfall of minis as they hit each shelf haha. I think Galactus is too heavy for the shelves though so he's down below with the heralds.
  24. Hello there! Like several others (it seems), I've been a member of the MMMV for a while but have yet to post anything. So here's my introduction. I've been collecting Marvel minimates for 2 1/2 years. In those couple years, my collection has grown so large that I prefer not to count them- but I've stopped collecting many other figures (still collecting comics, though) to save space for my minimates! I'm a Marvel "zombie." If you have a question about Marvel comics, I'm the person to ask! I've attached a picture of my collection below...because where else can I show off my minimate collection?! I look forward to joining in on all the discussions
