Update: So Zach said this little tidbit in the Ask DST thread. So with that... lets start guessing. Variant/brand new character is most likely Female Thor. Costume variations, so I'm thinking Marvel Now/Secret Wars status quo for costumes (Can I finally change sigs) And a new character that pleases everyone... Toad?

I felt the same way, but it comes and goes with any line that expands in weird and unexpected ways. I don't mind Spongebob or Gotham mates cause it can pull new fans, but I'm hoping that that same attention can be put to keeping older fans happy (which they have, like Wave 60). The problem is the absolute onslaught of Marvel Cinematic stuff from now till the end of time.

Yeah, if its blind anything, I will drop Marvel minimates so fast, which is the only line I care about. BAF or some weird way of packing them is okay

I totally agree. Comic accurate looks are the biggest reason I love minimates since very few other lines offer such variety, but movie looks do nothing for me except for custom fodder and temporary placement till I get a comic accurate look.

I finally got my holy grail for 1/6 products... I'm so happy and this figure is so flawless to me. I just need to find a new better hot toys body to help bulk up and fix some of the bleh joints on him.

Its really expensive. SOmeone showed comparisons that the Galactus Maquette, despite being bigger and more detailed, costs less... I only plan on getting 1 AoU Hot Toys anyway (Widow) and maybe Wanda if she turns out well.

I'm gonna pick up a Stormtrooper and hopefully a Scouttrooper at some point after getting Vader.

(Majora's Mask LE/3DS situation alone attests to that) I've bought one, but its for an Elephant gift on this website, so lol.

Speaking of Luke exclusives... I'm really hoping DST gives him another 4 pack soon, because Deadly Foes was such a hit with everyone here, I think. Not sure how sales ended up being on Luke's side, but it was just one of the most perfect boxsets lol.

Spider Verse isn't technically over yet, thank goodness. Secret Wars will have a Spider-verse mini. Which I hope is better than this trainwreck of an event.

Thanks I got a real good deal on him, so I was happy. POsing him was a huge bitch though, so I went with this pose due to it balancing his weight better.

I don't mean to argue, since I don't really care, but the suit part isn't the major nitpick. Its just civilian clothes, which are okay, but we've had a ton of Civilian stuff in the past year (Sin City, Pulp Fiction, BBT, Comic Book Idiots) so seeing more guys in suits kind of just feels... underwhelming, I guess. Puppet Master and JJJ are different since its expected for them to be in suits, and they were also in really good waves of costumed characters and iconic looks. But my general apathy towards DC might sour any announcement that isn't CW verse, lol. But yes, its the best performing comic book show of last year on basic networks, I believe (I don't think AoS is performing better, but that is probably natural decline due to it being in its 2nd season) and its got a huge fanbase. Hell, if this just gets people to buy more minimates, I'm in. Especially since I don't think any other toy company is making Gotham anything. At the end of the day though, I just really hope this does lead to push for other DC products (mainly animated and CW), despite the huge chance of this being the only DC thing for a long while.
