Personally, I look at the 24 Minimates and see custom fodder. But I showed them to a co-worker who's a big fan of 24, and he loves them a lot. Different strokes...

Wild speculation based on the image - to me, it looks like a Marvel Select figure, not a statue. And definitly not a Minimate.

Hawkeye is a shoo-in for the future. Start supporting the villains! We have yet to see the following essential villains: - Red Skull - Apocalypse - Abomination - Mandarin - Kraven the Hunter - Sabretooth - Mr. Sinister - Electro - the Wrecker

I'm happy with these two. I like the jet belt that Wonder Man has. Also - one Minimate closer to the original West Coast Avengers. And a FF-costume She-Hulk would make a great summer convention Minimate. Just saying...

I'd be happy with that. Might stop working on my Wonder Man customs for now...

At this point I'm not sure I want Hawkeye to be announced tomorrow. So far this wave has been well-received and looks like it's going to sell. Adding Hawkeye would be great, but Hawkeye is going to sell no matter what wave he's in. Wouldn't this be a great place to put some of the more obscure Avengers, like Black Panther, Swordsman or Jocasta? Like Thunderbird in the X-Men box set - give the harder-to-sell Avengers a boost by selling them with the big guns. Hawkeye could be the big release in a second Avengers wave, like Thor was treated in this wave. The second Avengers wave could have some of the big guns (Wasp, Ant-Man, Vision), some other Avengers (Sub-Mariner, Black Knight, Hercules), and a villian (Ultron).

Vision was the Avengers leader for a while in the early 80's, during which he set up the West Coast Avengers branch. Good storyline by Roger Stern. Back on Minimates topic - Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver look great. Is Scarlet Witch's cape new? It looks familiar but I can't place it. And is Quicksilver's hair the Ultimare Wolverine hair in white?

Loki - love it! Perfect colors, details, and the White Queen cape fits him well. But my favorite part - Loki's pimp chalise! And we're getting a second (chase) Thor that looks good? This is a great wave!

Thor = great new Minimate. I never thought we'd get a whole wave of Avengers Minimates. And we're getting new detailed pieces like the DC line. And the week-long reveal with Minimate Multiverse as one of the locations. It's like DST is listening to the fans - thanks DST! As for my guesses for the other Minimates we may get this week: - Vision - Scarlet Witch - Hawkeye - Quicksilver - Ultron

Hell's bells, that's an announcement I didn't see coming. And I certainly never expected pictures of him. And he looks so nice... And congrats on being one of the official "reveal" sites this week Ady! You've made the big time!

Lots of good news in there: - A Spider-Man 3 wave looks like a certainty now. Especially if they can get more milage out of them by releasing the figures through Target and as a TRU 4-pack. And have them out in time for the movie. - Marvel Zombies would blow my mind as a convention exclusive. A Thor Zombie Minimate exclusive is too much to comtemplate. - "More box sets are planned" - the best way to get obscure teams, I think. - Rocky Minimates will be out this summer - will that be in time for the DVD? And have we ever gotten a line-up for this wave? - And there's still hope for the Street Fighter mates. Wonder if they're thinking about an exclusive TRU release?
