Wait, I don't understand why Deadpool would have his comic costume. If this movie shows his scarring, it would likely mean he would get his costume after the events of this movie. I mean, he still has his bandages on his arm, so he must have went through the Weapon X program and came out pissed off. Maybe Wolverine goes nuts in the facility, and it interrupts Deadpool's procedure, causing him to be horribly scarred. Then Deadpool goes after Wolverine. Therefore, his comic costume wouldn't really appear. As for his blades, they aren't that big of a deal to me. But I am not the typical comic fan that gets super upset when simple changes occur. Instead of swords, he has his own body blades. Not that huge to me.

While this might be expected, my favorite was Deadpool (wave 28). Even though I like Psylocke, Gambit, and others more; he just looked too perfect. BUT, the mate I am looking forward to most is BLOB. I have wanted a Blob mate since wave 3.

Wait, does anyone have a comic picture of Wonder Man in this attire? For some reason I can't picture the "safari jacket."

Still missing Ult Colossus. True. But I consider Ultimate Colossus as just a variant of Colossus. But I guess that would make Archangel just a variant of classic Angel, so that logic is out.

X-Men vs Brotherhood Angel & Toad Iceman & Pyro Thus completing the minimates poster from way back. I know. It isn't it. There is no Wolverine or Spider-Man. But this set seems way cooler.

Since there is no Winston, I am thinking the first series is Ray, Spengler, and Slimer. Perhaps the second series is Venkman, Winston, and Stay Puft? I'm not sure how they are broken up.

The only thing that disappoints me about this set (other than the fact that I haven't got my set yet) is Phoenix's hair. I always associate Phoenix with long over-the top hair, whereas here she almost looks like she has short hair. But that is an easy fix, and mostly about personal preference.

I sense great dissapointment in your future. I agree. I am on episode 14 and I can tell you, without spoilers, that Wolverine is more in the spotlight than he was in the movies. All the other X-Men bow to him like he is the strongest mutant ever. Aside from one very impressive episode (ep.12), Cyclops is not even regarded with leader respect. Storm isn't either. As of episode 14, here are the following X-Men centered episodes: 3 Nightcrawler 1.5 Rogue 1 Cyclops 1 Storm 1 Professor X 0 Kitty 0 Iceman 0 Beast -1 Forge (he has been in like 4 episodes as comic relief only) And in almost every other character's episode, Wolverine still plays a "tough leader" role. Emma is second, as she plays a strong role in many episodes too (which is cool, she deserves some screen time), but is never in the spotlight. Beast, Kitty and Iceman are always around fighting, but never in the spotlight. Angel hasn't done much, but I have a feeling they are setting up his character for the future. But, I get the impression that the whole "Wolverine is the Sh!t" thing was a requirement to popularize on his character. The writers are beginning to shift focus to other X-Men as the show is continuing on, and building a fanbase (at least in other countries where it has aired). However, some of the storylines are adult on the level of the 90's series. So that is cool.

Nice work on all the villains! Now you should do the side heroes, like Commissioner Gordon, Alfred, Lucius Fox, and Rachel Dawes. You can fulfill me dreams of a Dark Knight minimate set.

Yeah, you are exactly right about Singer's initial plans. Phoenix was going to be the main villain, and the White Queen played an integral role in transforming her into Dark Phoenix. I imagine Magneto would have still been featured, but probably not as a main villain. What is extra-annoying is when Singer left, he took James Marsden with him, which caused the writers to quickly write out Cyclops. Then by the time filming began, Marsden returned to film his minor scenes. Now, the Superman franchise is getting rebooted. So it was all a waste. But, to be honest, I still liked some parts of X3. I liked Kitty Pryde, Colossus, and Iceman being a part of the team. I liked that they fully used Storm's powers and made her a team leader. I liked that the Juggernaut was British cause it matched Xavier (but they never did the sibling angle, so I guess that was a moot point). I hated what was done to Cyclops and Rogue. I didn't mind Dark Phoenix, and thought leaving out the alien identity was smart. But I thought it was dumb that she had the fire around her in X2, but it was dropped for X3. I just hope Wolverine is well done. All the characters in the movie are cool rebellious types, so it should be good. The minimate Blob is so awesome looking! He is my favorite. With Sabretooth 2nd, Main Leather Jacket Logan 3rd, and Deadpool 4th. The more I look at this wave, the more I like it.

Any chance of a Wolverine movie boxset to go with the wave, one that includes a movie Gambit, etc? It seems strange that they excluded one of the most hyped characters in the movie.

Silver Fox. It's been stated many times over if I am not mistaken. (which I probably am. Seems to be a habit with me lately) Oh! Actually, i think i read that somewhere once. Makes sense, actually. But i'll be pissed if she gets more screentime than Emma. I'm pretty sure Emma will be a cameo like Cyclops and Storm. She isn't receiving top billing, and her character isn't a part of Wolverine's backstory. Silver Fox is vital in Wolverine's backstory. However, I have been waiting to see Emma Frost on screen since X-Men 1, and would love for her to become a villain in future installments.

DST confirmed through comic images that Gambit and Psylocke will be the 90's Jim Lee era costumes.

They are not the X3 claws, remember the conversation way back when (yesterday) where I said they weren't a reuse... well I had the X3 wolverine mini in front of me and anyone but an idiot could see they are different... why couldn't you... oh never mind I think just answered my own question. T. p.s. Please read the guidelines about sig images... Perhaps you should read the guidelines, there is one titled 'Be Courteous!' But, I understand why you are frustrated. While there are a number of people who enjoy this wave (like me), it seems like so many are nitpicking. However, Wolverine sells. We buy him. The casual collector buys him. He is huge. Like it or not, Wolverine is about to become even bigger in the next 6 months. With the new cartoon Wolverine and the X-Men starting in the US AND his own major motion picture being released, Wolverine will sell. In order for the Marvel Minimates line to stay afloat in a crappy economy, they have to make the figures that the consumers will buy. While I'm a little disappointed there is no movie Gambit, I am being optimistic that he will come out in a box set. If not, I'll be happy with my comic Gambit that will be coming out a few months later. No biggie.

I think Blob, Sabretooth, and Deadpool look pretty cool. The main leather jacket Wolverine looks good too. While I'm surprised by the amount of Wolverines, I imagine this is so every person that purchases a set is a guaranteed a Logan, no matter what. I do find it strange that Gambit, arguably the most hyped character in the new movie, was left out. This leads me to believe that he could be included in a boxset, similar to Raza with Iron Man. Similarly, Weapon X was left out too (I am referring to Logan right after his adamantium bonding, all bloody and enraged). For a Wolverine origins story, he seems like an ideal choice. But in all, I do like this wave more than I thought, enough to where I will purchase the wave. I can't help being a bit disappointed since I was expecting a movie Gambit and Weapon X. Oh well, I'm still happy.

I'm a little disappointed that one of the Logans wasn't replaced by Gambit. But, I still think this will be a cool wave, especially the Blob!

I am very happy to finally be getting a Red Skull, especially one as cool looking as that one!

I am not intentionally being argumentative but..... they did say that? No, it is okay to be argumentative, when I looked up a previous post, I misquoted. It was that X3 had a lower production number, so they are harder to find now. For some reason in my head, I translated that to being best sellers, but really it is just that they are more rare.

Didn't DST say the X3 wave was the best selling wave? So I would think that they would want to jump on that success with the prequel. As for the mates, I wouldn't mind seeing Blob and Gambit, they look different enough from their comic counterparts. Plus I don't know when we will ever see a Blob. I doubt Emma Frost would be a mate, I think she is just a cameo, but that isn't confirmed. So here are my guesses: Wolverine Sabretooth Deadpool Blob Gambit Silver Fox Variant: Weapon X But overall, if they would just release a Blob, I would be happy enough, I don't need a whole Wolverine wave.
