  1. Now that we know Thor isn't included in this box-set it's probably the right time to get hold of Series 16 which includes Thor & their first foe Loki . Thor seems somewhat elusive/expensive on ebay though Cornerstore apparently still have it http://www.cornerstorecomics.com/
  2. More X-Men ?? I wonder which ones No Thor with Avengers #1 I suppose they'll announce a Beatles Minimate box-set next entitled The Fab Three ......minus John Lennon. The most irritating thing for me is the 'passing of the buck' regarding the Dr.Who Minimate/Underground Toys License. Now I know that Dr.Who isn't everybody's 'cup of tea' but c'mon they would sell like 'hot cakes' so there has to be another agenda here which is beginning to stink. I am not suggesting that DST is the problem but surely someone at DST could perhaps give Underground a call & politely ask what's going on & put a few fans out of their misery. I KNOW what's going on because I ASKED the senior Underground representative the question at SDCC . Unfortunately any information (about anything actually ) I obtained from SDCC is either denied or debunked & frankly I've just given up bothering to relay it.
  3. I'm probably older than your dad & he ain't cheap because you'll only get the one & he's priceless. SDCC ain't a cheap deal but definitely a worthwhile experience & trust me it is not a 'fiscal decision' to go to SDCC & 'get the deals'...don't bother its a Muggs game(pun intended). NYCC?.... I have never been to it but I'm told it's fun & I'm sure you'll find the booths.
  4. Very funny & I know at least one person, who until today, has been 'singing gibberish' along to that song for over 30 years. I never even knew it was written by Springsteen . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs0JoZHGP9M...feature=related Thanks Karamazov, nice to have you back.
  5. Those are very disturbing This is far more entertaining http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2aRDacKANs
  6. All the images of the kubricks are of the genuine articles.
  7. I can vouch for the seller having bought from him/her many times ,in fact I'm bidding on an item from them now. I am more concerned why you are so sceptical about kubrick sellers ? Kubricks (non box-sets) are generally blind-boxed so MIB tends to go out of the window but most sellers tend to supply the opened box,it's polite If you doubt the authenticity of any kubrick follow the guidance in the kubrick thread which when navigated will direct you to kubrick indices. In all fairness the only 'bootlegs' that regularly turn up on ebay are the 'tinned Star Wars' Starbricks which were perhaps licensed but ain't kubricks.
  8. You even change the spelling of shit in the U.S. Have you no shame?
  9. You can but you'll need a large box & my address
  10. The freezer trick works because the molecules in the minimate head contract at lower temperatures, making it slightly smaller. Obviously the helmet becomes slightly smaller too but because it's much thinner the change in size is less than the head experiences and a very thin layer of ice occurs between the two making it easier to slide off. It won't do any lasting damage if you let the pieces return to room temperature before manhandling the joints. The Eiffel Tower increasing / decreasing in size depending on the season is the same principle! They put the Eiffel Tower in a freezer,to get its helmet off ? Awesome!
  11. I suppose I deserve your scepticism but it's 100% true.
  12. Because that's a character from some UK comic Shocker said they were going to make. Sounds odd to mee Rouge Trooper.... so many jokes, so littel time. Whilst at SDCC I was staying at an hotel that was probably featured in a couple of snuff videos from the 70's. The first morning was going to be bad enough anyway because I was meeting TBT for the first time but I met these 'guys' in the lobby. I was happily quaffing my coffee & muffin & hitting the Multiverse on the 'Bates' PC' whence these 3 'guys' in logo-emblazoned T-shirts 'tried' to start a conversation . "First time SDCC?". "Well actually yes " I replied. "Y'English" they enquired "Why yes!" I replied "& yourselves,is this your first time ?" "Nah,bin here a few years now" they replied almost as one. "Wow" I replied sliding into one of my unfortunate sarcastic sides of my multi-personalities. "Selling?" "No,I'm a fan " I replied & it was then that that the logos on the T-shirts registered & I blurted out "Shocker Toys" "Have you heard of us?" they ,as one, replied. "Have I" I replied in the affirmative, nodding with a knowing grin " Have I" At this point I was surrounded by them & quite nonchalantly swivelled my PC screen towards them which quite deliberately was displaying 'our' Homepage. "I've heard all about you here" It was as one that they left . Perhaps it was their time. Perhaps SDCC beckoned. It was unclear as to what their departing words were but it definitely wasn't "Good to see you" or "Au Revoir", it was more a case of...... "one of those assholes, huh!" It was one of those Golden Moments in life & then......... .....TBT turned up Rouge Trooper... 2000AD .
  13. Obviously not if your bothering to respond
  14. I no this thred is neerly ded butt why dont us jus chainge her naim to Rouge? http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?s...ntrypage=search
  15. We had a similar situation in Olde England a few years ago when someone suggested renovating Stonehenge. I personally thought it was a great idea, I love the Flintstones .
  16. That would be me. I emailed them and expressed my concerns about the packaging. I said I wasn't overly bothered by the damage to my boxes, since I open mine anyway, but I said that some collectors prefer their items in mint condition in the package and that for future shipments, they might want to invest in boxes. They responded back asking for a description of the damages, to which I answered. They thanked me for my help and told me they are working on their shipping methods now. I imagine this is the first piece of merchandise that they've sold (outside of cakes, which they hand deliver) that the packaging might actually matter, so they just might not have considered the consequences. If a shirt gets crumpled, its hardly important, but if a blister card is crushed, people will get mad. (Best non-patronising voice) Well done, constructive criticism is better than apathy.
  17. Despite what I've said I am not aiming my venom at Chef Duff himself. I don't believe for one moment that he is sitting in an office stuffing padded envelopes with Minimates but somebody in his organisation is. Any individual who loves Minimates enough to produce their own deserves my respect & gets it. My venom is aimed at the plonker who made the padded envelope decision . If this decision was made to save shipping costs then perhaps the customer could have been given the choice of paying a tad more for a safe delivery in a box. If packaging isn't important why bother packaging Chef Duff Minimates at all? Sell them loose! Packaging IS important it is the consumers' first contact with the product which is probably why there is so much on clearance at FYE/Suncoast . Having bought some Minimate Packets from the San Diego Suncoast ,not one would hold the title of VGC let alone MIB, covered in clearance labels ,dinged boxes & torn J-hangers. Not for non-openers. This all reminds me of the story of the two postal workers observing an A4 ,card-backed envelope with the words 'PHOTOGRAPHS - DO NOT BEND' printed in huge letters on it. The first guy winks at the second guy ,grabs the envelope & folds it neatly in half ..... ...... "Oh yes they do!"
  18. OK I'm not completely enthusiastic about this set as you may have guessed but I received a polite reply to my email. In a nutshell there has apparently been only one received complaint about the packaging so far! Lazy customers make lazy merchants,so if your happy with your damaged goods then there is no problem.
  19. I can only suggest that Shed Dudd should be informed ,by those members who are receiving this poorly packed stuff ,of their feelings. I have just emailed 'Doughboy City' that if mine arrive bent they can have them back.
  20. Chef Dudd I'm sure would be horrified if one of his gateaux arrived crushed. I'm a MIB-man & if I paying for design/printing/packaging, then I'll decide when to destroy it & grasp my 'Mate . I have always sung the praises of US toy enthusiasts & sellers who appreciate that 'the toy' includes the 'package' however my opinion of this stunt just gets worse.
  21. I get it ....a boarding house complete with some ol' bag
  22. Surely somebody could just buy the house & hmmmm...er...um...perhaps....live there??? Mind you I'm English ...all history & no future.
